  It could be a number of reasons of a battery discharged to a problem with the charging circuit.

  You neglected to mention which version of Windows you are using.

  You can create a detailed report on the State of the battery to double check the battery status.

  1. go to Start / all programs / Accessories. Click on the command prompt and select run as administrator.

  2 in the command prompt window, copy / paste the following command.

  powercfg-energy-output %userprofile%\desktop\energy-report.html

  Press ENTER.

  Wait for the command to complete (usually about 2 minutes).

  This create a file named energy - report.html and place it on your desktop.

  3 go to your desktop and double-click the file to open.

  Scroll to the bottom for the battery: battery information section.

  You will see:

  Rated xxxxx

  Xxxxx full last Charge

  (Where xxxxx is a number)

  Startup

  Open the Device Manager

  Click plus the sign (+) next to the category Batteries, all ads in 'Microsoft ACPI Control method battery compatible', then right-click and select uninstall in the dialog "Confirm device uninstall", click OK. (it's ok if you only have 1 of them).

  First, shut down the laptop, unplug the power adapter, remove the battery and then hold the Power button for 30 seconds.

  Now, plug in the AC adapter without the battery inserted, start Notepad, open windows control panel, open Device Manager, expand the entry for the battery, on the right, click on and compatible Microsoft ACPI control method battery and select Uninstall - do uninstall not something else here.  When the uninstall is complete, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter, reinsert the battery and then start the laptop's battery.  Windows will automatically reinstall the driver - leave Windows running for a few minutes. Shut down the laptop again.  Now plug the power adapter (with the inserted battery always) and start the laptop to see if it helped the issue at all.

• CLIQ locks whenever I plug in USB, but not the wall charger?

  A few days ago only my CLIQ started crashing everytime I have connect my original OEM USB data cable. I hear the phone read the sound to be plugged in, but it seems to cut before the full "ding", the phone freezes for a few seconds and then restarts. After the reboot, it loads and allows me to use it as a USB key as usual. Also, when I turn off the USB drive feature, it's the same crash/restart.   I own a laptop PC hp Pavilion dv4 laptop and this morning there was a sudden battery problem, I was playing Dota 2 and the Steam interface told me that the battery percentage was 12% (7 minutes from the end) then I moved and grabbed the chager, plugged into the outlet and plugged the charger in laptop a few seconds later the laptop turns off suddenly and won't restart, even if the charger is plugged there no light came from the load indicator.

  A few minutes later do research for similar problems, there was a solution to remove the battery and the charger then press and hold power for 30 seconds and 3-5 minutes then return the battery but it did nothing.
