M476dn: Printer in two different networks - is it possible?

I got the following requirement:

Printing from iPad should be possible on one of our network printers. As known, Apple Airprint is available only via WiFi. Question: Network printers are in another network than iPads.

My idea:

-Buy a Wifi capable HP printer network (for example. M476dn)

-Configure the LAN port for normal office network (printer connected to the network via a cable)

-Configure the printers WiFi interface for the Wifi network, which is used by iPads

Then the PC and laptops should be able to print via normal office network (print server) and iPads via Airprint.

Question: Is it possible to set up a printer HP in this way, so that it is located in two different networks? Especially the M476dn this would support? I would like to clarify this point of course before buying a ;-)

In fact the user must move the network for printing.

It is the only possible option I can think, other then get a different printer for each network.

Kind regards

Shlomi

Photoshop supports currently the following local 3D printers:

    • MakerBot Replicator 2
    • MakerBot Replicator 2 x
    • Polychrome ZCorp
    • Mcor Iris
    • MakerBot Replicator 5th generation

In addition, Photoshop supports several profiles Shapeways.com and Sculpteo.

Note: the USB direct print with the printer MakerBot Replicator profile 5th generation is not yet supported. You can export the files you want to print on a USB and then print them locally.

  • Permutation of the iPhones that belong to two different networks

    Hello

I have a question about the nature of the exchange of two different iPhones. My grandmother & I have the same iPhone - iPhone blue 5 c; except that his is on Verizon, mine is on AT & T. Hers a 16 GB & mine has 8 GB - we wanted to share because it didn't need much space, & I do. If we had SIM cards, restored to factory settings iPhones, & put AT & T SIM card in the iPhone to Verizon & the Verizon SIM in the AT & T iPhone, everything would work as usual?

    Thanks in advance.

    -JR

Not if they are locked on their respective networks. You must contact each carrier and and go through their first unlocking process.  Verizon, like most CDMA providers, usually will not allow a device not sold by them on their network. They are allowing people to bring new iPhones to their network, but I don't know if this includes the 5 c (I don't think).

  • A two WiFi adapter different networks - is it possible?

We have two WiFi networks.  One for Apple products and one for Windows products.  I have a Macbook Air laptop with windows8 installed VMWare image.  I figure I can only connect my windows OS to the apple network.  Does anyone know if it is possible to configure VMWARE for my Apple and my Windows VM network connection network connection can share the unique laptop computer wifi adapter but connect to two totally different WiFi networks?  Here is a textual diagram of what I'm trying to do.

Apple WiFi network Network WiFi Windows

                          |

    Built-in Apple WiFi adapter

      | |

Connection to Apple The Windows7 VM connection

I tried the bridge with wireless and Automatic Mode.

NAT mode works very well, but the VM_Windows7 connection will only use the WiFi from Apple of the host connection

If you want that a virtual machine connected to a network of separate WiFi then what is the host using you would have to have two separate WiFi network cards and the Mac has only one.  As a workaround, you can choose to use a USB WiFi network adapter connected to the virtual machine and access another WiFi network then accesses the host.  If a Virtual Machine is presented only a wired Ethernet network adapter it is filled in the map the host network or uses the NAT virtual VMware, which provides Internet/network connectivity beyond the host itself.

Two-node RAC, what are the disadvantage if both nodes are on different network segments?
So the two node will be have a public interface on different segment, but interconnection will be on the same segment.
The two nodes have the same gateway and two network segments goes to the same switch.

    Hello

Public IP addresses and virtual IP addresses must be in the same subnet.

This is necessary because the VIP - IP (two nodes) should work on two public networks.

Recently I've set up RAC extended with diferent networks (subnet). When all nodes is all that is very well. But when a node down, clusterware node gel survive because he trying vip - ip (different subnet) node configuration on the node down to survive.

  • Cannot create the remote desktop connection in two different networks.

Original title: Windows 7 PRO through internet Remote Desktop connection.

Two windows 7 Machines Pro. They want to be able to connect to the main computer (Internet router) when they are away at their House on the other.

It connects via DSL behind a router

    A modem connection cable Roadrunner

The customer has upgraded to pro. Computers aren't workgroup and domain just PC. What would be the best way to have to allow them to connect to the router. I tried the port on the router, nothing helps.

    Hello

Remote Desktop connection uses port 3389 in order to listen to the incoming connection.

When done over the Internet, you will need to forward the port to the IP of the computer.

Alas, a router can send a specific port only to a single computer.

Since you have two computers, you must change the listening port for one of them to a different port number and transfer the new port to the IP Address of the computer.

Let a computer uses the default port 3389.

In the second computer, change the port to another port of your choice, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306759/en-us

Assign static IP to the computers (make sure that it is in the DHCP range).

In the router open port 3389 to the IP address of the computer with the default setting.

Open port you used for the second computer to its IP address.

When you connect, if the connection is a connection by default, he would go to a single computer. When the connection is made with on the second track, he would go to the second computer.

  • Two VMS on different networks and ping each other

    Hello

I'm using VMware Workstation for the first time. I have two VM and I want them to be on two different networks. I want that networks be able to ping each other. I did research on this since yesterday and nothing seems to work. Perhaps I am confused with the bridge, the Nat and host-only adapters. What I have is:

    VM1-> has two network adapters: VMNET1-Host-Only (192.168.247.128) and VMNET8-NAT (192.168.42.130)

I'm not able to have the internet connection on the HOST only

    VM2-> has a network card: VMNET8-NAT (192.168.42.129)

Each virtual machine I can ping everything on the other virtual machine, but it seems a little odd.

Is there another way to do this?

    Thank you very much

    Geneviève Nantel

Although you can create several networks in VMware Workstation, there is no possibility of embedding to do the routing.

  • Photosmart HP 7510 - cannot ping printer; Is on the network

I'm unable to print and scan to my printer. I can't ping my printer but when I look at the wireless settings it has an IP address. I got tired of rattling of the printer from two different computers, a PC connected to the router via ethernet and the other a laptop computer connected wireless. The PC and the laptop can ping each other. I tried the following:

    -Run the HP hardware diagnostics

    -Run the HP network diagnostics

-Execution of diagnostic software from HP

-L' all gave the result that they cannot connect to the printer.

    -Rest of the printer

    -Hard rest of the printer

    -Check the firmware updates

-This has happened since last night and I restarted my computer twice since then.

I've had the printer for 3 months and it has worked for the most part without any problems. Does anyone have an idea of what is wrong and how to fix it?

    Thank you

I solved the problem. I rebooted everything but the router and - go figure - this is what fixed the problem.

  • 4.3 pages: how to print files of different text on the same page at the same time?

This concerns 4.3 Pages, I prefer.

I have written two different books, both with notes - one with a lot of notes.

I would like to print them both, at the same time, on a single page legal-size, 8 x 14. I can get.

I did this time in divvying up toward the top of the page itself and by running the paper into the printer twice - once for the top the half and, again, once for the lower half. It worked very well... but my printer is becoming tired! (former HP).

Recently, I tried to print the most complex book on top, with all the heavy notes, in a 'box' above. I managed to get this set only to discover that you are unable to print notes in a text box! Curses.

Unfortunately, through the raggedy of the time evolution, these books are more than a length. However, I know that I can squeeze and tweezers to them by giving them different sizes and depths of the page. Certainly, foreign and unknown.

Why the question is: is it possible to print simultaneously two different files (texts not only) on the same sheet of paper? Each of these texts has notes.

    Hi aws.

4.3 pages. It will work for you?

A single page with two columns

Insert a column break between the two versions. Notes appear on the same page.

  • Connect to different networks (with or without proxy)

    Hi all.

I'm working on a project where I need to be connected at least two different networks. One of them is used to communicate with the wireless IP cameras (using ActiveX Axis Media Control), and the other is necessary to access the internet and load the Google maps (using an ActiveX from Microsoft Web Browser control). I'm at University and the internet connection is through a proxy server.

I don't know much about networks and HTTP requests, but I notice that if I set up Internet Explorer to work through the proxy, I am able to navigate in GoogleMaps, but there is no way to access the IP cameras. And if I set Internet Explorer to work without a proxy, I get exactly the opposite.

    Could you help me?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards
    Francisco

    Hi Porras,

Try to create an exception for your proxy server - see attached pictures (Win XP SP3).

Note: These proxy exceptions can be created programmatically, by editing the Windows registry.

    See you soon.

  • The use of two different NICs on the RT?

Hello world... I am currently working on a project where I have to deal with the problem mentioned in the thread topic: I have a PC with LabVIEW RT which must be able to establish network connections using two different network cards. One will be used to connect via TCP/IP to a host computer that will show you the data transmitted through variables shared; the other communicates with another PC via the Modbus Protocol. The key is that each communication is done through a separate network card.

So far I could not understand how to set up these two things happen. Does anyone know how to do this? Advice will help you.

For communication of RT, I use a project of RT standard, with the RT PC, given one of the IPs, and for the part of Modbus, I created a server I/O with a master and a slave. Separately, everything works fine, but when I get them together it does not work.

    Thanks for your help!

Sorry it took me so long to answer, I've been busy lately... I found a solution to this problem that I mentioned, and just in case anyone has similar problems in the future, I will briefly describe what happened.

Caseyw suggested, he had to allow both NICs through the measurement and Automation Explorer. The cause of the failure of connections was in fact that I was not using the 'right' for Modbus communication, which was rolled out on the secondary card. The solution was to use the URL Protocol with the correct path in the field, addressing the right IP address. To avoid making this post a mixture of subjects, I do more futher, but I got the gist of it, so if someone has similar problems when I work with multiple network cards or Modbus communication protocols, do not hesitate to contact me, I'll be happy to help you.

    Thank you

  • Mac, WRT 54 G, can I access a MFC9320 brother on two different subnets?

(domestic use) I have a USB Server that I can access my USB printer on two different subnets and I was wondering if I can do the same thing on the WRT54G. I use 192.xxx.xxx.x for internet use and 198.xxx.xxx.x for each thing, like file sharing of multiplayer games, etc. Only, I named the 'locations' to 'Internet' or 'Games' (with games being used for everything else). With the USB Server set to "ZerocConfig" I could access USB printers on both.  I could set up the printer with a static IP printer 'Place' and then change location every time we wanted to print to it, but I would like to save a step. It's not that big a deal for me, but have to "Remind" everybody whenever they wanted to print something on it, would get old. Don't want to hang the brother to the USB Server if I have the wireless. It is not the smallest thing in the world to find a place for it in any case.

I guess my other question would be, taking the other subnet is it safer (from the internet) using this way he or she is just in my mind. I did the on a third location of 'White', the family put their computers (no IP #) when they are just playing games, homework, etc..

    Thank you

I don't think it's possible to run the USB printer on two different subnet. There is no such feature on the router.

  • ACS 5.3 join two different directories Active Directory without reply in the ad.

    Hello my name is Ivan:

    I have a question...

Can join GBA 5.3 to two different Active Directory directories that are in two different networks for the use of eap peap mschap v 2, with 2 different certificates, to authenticate users in a wireless network?

    I have

AD 1 in the newtork with Certification Authority 1 10.25.1.0/24

AD 2 in the network 192.168.10.0/24 with Certification Authority 2

There is no replicate in the 14:00 users in AD 1 are totally diferent from the AD 2.

Both of their ad I want to join my ACS 5.3.

    How can I do?

    Thanks for your replies.

    Concerning

Here are a few things we can think in your scenario.

    >            You cannot integrate the same ACS server directly to two different areas of AD (AD1, AD2). With ACS 5.3, all you can do, establish 2-way trust between domains (AD1, AD2). This way users of the area approved by ACS installed in the local domain can authenticate. You must add a UPN or the prefix NETBIOS suffix (e.g. [email protected] / * /-name) for the user name when is authenticating with a domain (Trusted one) that the ACS is not joined to, including child domains.

    >           However, with ACS 5.4, you can join the nodes of the same deployment GBA to different areas of the AD. However, each node can be attached to a single AD domain.

    ACS 5.4 primary - domain a.

    5.4 ACS secondary - domain B

    >            I'm not going to give an option to integrate ACS with LDAP as an identity database because LDAP does not support Peap Mschapv2 so any object of setting up the EAP authentication will fail.

    It will be useful.

  • Guests on different networks?

    Hello.

I wish some of my guests 10.0.0.0 and some on 172.16.0.0.

My internet gateway is on 192.168.1.0

Is it possible for 10.0.0.0 and 172.16.0.0 to talk to each other and to access internet?

If so how would I do it?

Do I need to configure a virtual router Windows? With the help of 2008R2 only.

Thanks, I hope someone can help me with this.

    Armann wrote:

    "Then, you two physical NICS.

OK is not good since I am running this on my laptop.

To connect to two different networks (IP subnets) at the same time, you always have one active network card in each network.

I just need to be able to use the computers on different subnets to be able to

to use Sites in Active Directory.

At the same time? If not, a NETWORK adapter is sufficient.

But if I had on 172.16.10.0 and other guests on 172.0.17.0?

Would still need two network cards?

Only if you connect to these networks at the same time. If you have another feature of routing on the network, you can connect to a network and use the external router to enter the other network.

"Windows (OS Server only) or Linux.

    Windows servers only.

Then, you need to install 'Routing and RAS' If you want to route between two networks. If only the virtual guest or your host must speak with the two networks (assumed you have two physical network adapters), you don't need routing. Routing is necessary if your host or virtual guest connects two networks so that other hosts can use this router to connect to the other network.

I'm guessing that's not possible on a single computer laptop

Varies according to the number of physical network adapters.

Hmm maybe if I buy a usb network card now that might work?

    Yes.
