  Sorry, this is not an option.  When printing on the front of a page in duplex black is underprinted with color to make the 'together' impression and dry faster.  Thus "black only" is not an option when you print duplex pages automatically.

  No, I did not change the toner, but I found the solution.

  This solution worked for me and my printer works now. You also try MAC OS.

  Remove the printer in printers and Scanners.
  Click on the button +, select the Protocol IP on top, type the address IPv4 of the printer, select Jet Direct below and then apply.

  I have a strange problem with this printer.

  I have factory reset this printer. I went through the steps to connect to my wireless network, it does.

  The problem is evident when I print the printer test page.

  A 0.0.0.0 IP address means that the device is not connected to the network, it does not indicate an IP address manually.

  Please try to restore the network configuration, it will ensure that the device is using DHCP instead of manual IP.

  First step: restore the network configuration

  1. turn off the product.
  2. press in and hold the buttons cancel and the wireless, then turn on the product.
  3 hold the button until all lights flash in unison, and then release the keys.

  Second step: reconfigure the wireless connection

  1. connect the device wireless to the computer via a USB cable.
  2. click on the Start button and then click on the programs or all programs.
  3. click on the HP menu item and then click on the Professional series of HP LaserJet P1100 printers menu item.
  4. click on the wireless settings menu item.
  5. follow the on-screen instructions to configure the product to print on a wireless network.

• Printing black ink only?

  We have just received the all in one printer 3050 wireless. The sole purpose of print from my iPhone. We do not have a computer at home. My husband has a work he sometimes brings home laptop. I figured out how to print in black only using his computer. Is anyway to do this on the printer itself when I print from my iPhone? I went through all the settings on the printer screen, but found nothing. Thanks in advance for your help. I don't want to use the color ink for the things that I do not have too :-)

  You use the HP ePrint home & Biz? Or you use AirPrint and/or a different application on your phone? If you use ePrint you can connect to the ePrint centre and there should be a setting for the grayscale or black and white.

• HP 5535 won't scanner, printer not found error message

  I have a HP Envy 5535. I've only been able to scan with it once. I scanned 22 documents, after HP Scan Doc 4.4 running. Every time the scanning HP Doc says everything is OK, but as soon as I try to do an analysis of test, I get the error message "printer not found." I also tried this scanner with my McAfee virus firewall off the coast, and it still does not work. I have also identified it on McAfee as part of my network.

  I'm sorry that you can not scan with your HP Envy 5535, but I'm happy to help you!

  To get help, I'll need to know:

  1. If you use Windows or operating system Mac and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
  2. If the printer is connected, wireless, or USB.
  3. If the printer is capable of making copies of itself.
  4. If the power cable is connected to a surge protector, or directly to a wall outlet. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power. This is true for printers and ink jet.

  In the meantime, please try go through this guide to scanning. A "the computer is not responding" error message during scanning.

• Printer, printing - printer not found / not lit

  Since there are two days that I had not a printing problem now I am unable to print from my computer which is only 5 months running windows 7.  The printer is a HP jet 8500 new brought 2 months ago wireless desktop.  The test of printer prints all the correct information. Computer says printer not found.  I uninstalled and re installed several times.  Have made the most of all the steps to find a solution, including troubleshooting.  with the last telling me that the printer is not turned on. I did a restoration of systems for several days back and it still does not solve anything.

  I ran before him fix it download and tried again with the same
  answer that the printer is not on.  The printer is turned on and all the other features of the printer to work IE: fax, web and copy.

  I did the same thing with the same results.  After three days of trying to get the scanner to work (Success!), my page HP Solution says that it works with my HP 6500 E709, like my monitor of the device on Win7.  If I try to print anything from any source, I get "function address 0x60b867be caused a protection fault.   Some or all property pages is not displayed' not print or access the printer preferences.  Everything worked fine for the first five months, I have had the printer.  Changed to Win7 and had to do a lot of fixes to get it so I could really use all the features.  Stopped first Scanner, printer now.

• HP Envy 5530: I replaced the black cartridge in my printer. She refuses to print in black only now.

  I ran all the standard tests. Black printing will produce only on cartridge color if used singularly. Print heads have been cleaned. Printer has updated its auto preset and no analysis of a printed item will be printed nor will be a printed document or the other. All prints have tried so far were in black ink. All worked perfectly until the change of the ink cartridge. Replacement cartridge used was a standard 301 HP black cartridge.

  Just hooked up this printer to a Mac Mini end of 2012 4 GB of ram, processor 2.5 GHZ of Intel, IOS 10.11.5 I get the error message "printer not found."  Still printer is plugged into the USB port and marked as default printer.  Have to pull plug - n-new power printer, then it works.  Please let know us, I downloaded the drivers did I miss something?

  If you are wanting to use the black cartridge for printing, you can follow step 2 in this document to change the print settings to print in black and white:

  Please be aware that you don't need two ink cartridges to print.  The printer uses little color for printer maintenance.  This interview is described in the document I have attached.

  Once the color cartridges is completely exhausted you must replace it in order to print.  After this setting the printer to print in black and white will minimize the used color and make it last longer.

  HP 6600 all the cartridges are in and only yellow is everything. I don't see that not setting a black than gray. That means I have no other choice but to and get a new color cartridges. Frustrating thinking I could still at least print in black only.

  Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  You will need to pick up another yellow cartridge.  Your printer uses a separate print head.  The print head is what sprays ink on the page.  You must have all of the cartridges installed and complete in order to print.  The 6600 Officejet uses all the same print black and white cartridges.  Without full cartridges print head will become damaged or dry.  There are some printers as the 4500 ENVY and Officejet 4730 using a 2 cartridge system.  These cartridges have integrated print heads.  These printers works in a single mode of cartridge and print black ink only, but your system printer 4 ink will not.
