Mac Pro 2014 Retina screen shows lightning under empty battery but won't turn on

Screen shows lightning under empty battery, but won't turn on. I had plugged it with two adapters to support different (long and short) that accompanies the retina macbook 17 inches. Ive left plugged in for 24 hours and still will not light. I have tried reseting everything I saw on the forum other messages such as pressing shift-control-alt-power - release and then pressing button works / stop and nothing. Sometimes just showing the Red/low battery with Flash below the middle of the screen, but it will not activate. I have all my work on this computer and need to have on it.

The green light on the magnetic charge cable is not, however, this has only worked from time to time and then for a while so I was not worried about it. Any advice?

You have to go to an Apple Store or an authorized Service provider. The fact and take up virtually even with different Chargers, the indicator light on the MagSafe does not light up and the display on the screen of the cries of hardware problems. And these sealed Macs really are repairable no-no.

    Hi wlknzn, CleanMyMac is a poison for your operating system, it's virtually malware itself. He has completely borked many systems. Just search here in the forums and you will see all the damage he has done. Use the uninstaller provided to uninstall.

    Then, run a report of EtreCheck it is a diagnostic tool that is very useful for us to still find problems. It will also give us additional specifications on your Mac. After his execution after the logfile here. It will never contain any personal information.

    The ability to display resolution is also affected by the type and quality of connection mac and monitor cable (interfaces).

    For example, single-link DVI connection supports only up to 1920 x 1200.

  • end of 2013 Mac Pro self begins with red light under DIMM 3

    My end of 2013 "trash" Mac Pro has an intermittent problem on start up - this can take up to 8 auto restarts before it starts to fully operational status. During these reboots red lights are visible through the base, in the area of the 3 & 4 DIMM slots. This happens in about 3-4 times when the Mac Pro is started first thing in the morning. Sometimes - but rarely - it will also restart after a period of normal operation.

    Run diagnostics and, before one of the operations described below, this indicates that all was well but the 2 just many times where I ran diagnosis, he pointed out that no WiFi interface has been installed. Have also run Memtest that since several days of testing, running as a single user with multiple passes, says memory all OK.

    Have tried resetting the SMC both NVRAM and update of the OS. Removed and reinstall the RAM modules. After the reinstallation of modules, first start only registered DIMM 1 & 2 modules. There seems to be no problem with the seating, nothing loose or place and taken liberation were entirely home. Next and all subsequent boots saved all 4 modules.

    A day of immediate bootups without problem but then, first thing this morning, had two cottages restarts during startup. I gave the 2nd boot press / press and hold the 'on' then booted diagnosis - no problem not indicated. On the startup resulting, everything was fine.

    I guess the problem is in, either the GPU or with 3 & 4 DIMM slots. Can someone tell me the meaning of red lights? Diagnosis would be easier if I knew.

    Hello Bob,

    Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

    I see that you have found a red flashing in the 3 & 4 DIMM slots. Typically, this indicates a bad RAM module or the module is not seated properly. I see you have already done the troubleshooting that I would have recommended. So, unless you have third-party RAM installed in your Mac Pro, I suggest you take a look at the following link to access the service options for your computer.

  • Mac pro 2008 to slow down, or may not start, but starting in safe mode

    HI dudes. I have a Mac pro 2008 with yosemite.

    I can't boot into normal mode, but it's ok in safe mode.

    I changed the hd, do a clean install, but still the same.

    Sometimes (days), it starts up fine, but the other days not, or if it boot is so sloooowww if a type of something, maybe 7 characters, it takes about 30 seconds to display on the screen.

    I'm putting a radeon hd 4890 to see if the problem is the graph (due to the fact that the mac works fine in safe mode) now my graphics card is ati 2600 256 MB

    I don't know what to try next, I'm desperate

    PS: Sorry for my bad English, I'm from the Spain.

    Yes, could be a bad graphics card.

  • Firefox ESR 24.8.1 - Flash Video shows only 1/4 of the image with Mac mid-2014, Retina Display

    Question: Flash - YouTube, flat Anywhere, Nickelodeon (only three tested) movies all show only top left 1/4 of the screen.

    Perceived the question: given that the retina has double the number of pixels, only the 'real' number of pixels is used, who is half - half higher, and half left, is only the upper left corner.

    Flash version 15.0.0.152

    Mac OS 10.9.5

    Hardware problem: Retina Display.

    Browser: Firefox ESR 24.8.1 (updated)

    Additional notes: changing playback of YouTube's Flash player to HTML makes the reading of the work.

    Moving the window to an external monitor (no retina) makes reading flash works.

    This is only the case for playback flash on the monitor of the retina; not for the non on the retina, no flash on non-retine.

    My question: how to make this work on my retina display? The choice of only possible browser for me are firefox and safari, and I really want to avoid safari for other reasons.

    Well...

    It turns out that the passage of 24.8 Esr Firefox with the non-beta plugin to 31.1 ESR Firefox with the beta plugin solves.

    Confirmed - it works fine on both sites tested so far which gave me bad.

    Now I just a new GUI on firefox to get used to... (at least it was only once a year now.)

  • With the help of 4 k on macbook pro 2014 retina

    I shoot with a professional 3 Ghost and wondering how to see 4 k on the mac (Macbook Pro retina 15', mi 2014) and love at first sight?  Do I need to calibrate the screen?  Or can someone tell me best practices for videographers again using Final Cut.  I know I have a lot to learn.  I just spent iMovie to Final Cut and that's just for real estate professionals. Any help would be appreciated, I have read a lot of politics on the ISP and the display settings and just want to know the most common practice.

    So why take care of true colors?

    What I saw of RE-ads, it is in many cases 'all the controls to the max' - supersaturated, over-sharpened, too

    Out-of-the-box, the retinas are excellent adjusted. Professional graders use monitors external, somewhere beyond the 10 k price range + calibrators $$$.

    I guess when you start with FCPX. from iMovie, true colors is on the end of your to-do list

  • Upgrade of the fans on MacBook Pro 2014 retina

    Hi, can the fans inside the Macbook Pro upgrade 2014? I game on my mac and also to use some applications requiring a power of good treatment. These are the heat of my laptop a lot and therefore uncomfortable to lay my hands on. I wanted to improve the cooling on my mac.

    There is no way to upgrade the fans.  If you were to replace the fans it would be exactly the same unit.

    If you run games or applications processor it will warm up.

    Different machines have different processors, different graphics cards, all soldered to logic board - not upgradable - point-of-sale only.  This can make a difference in how hot they are.

    Some machines a discreet and Integrated GPU, some only a single graphics card.

    In addition to third-party fan contol the only applications user would be to try to reset the SMC http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964 to see if there is a difference.

  • pushed single screen several times on display battery but can not go back to the previous screen again by clicking on "back" to come to the first screen button

    Hi all

    There is a screen with meter as label, datefield and objectchoicefield in the menu drop down and add and go button, this screen is pushed repeatedly on display battery until the meter is new. But when I try to go back to the previous screen, there is problem normally by substituting the onClose() method you can pop current screen and can get the previous screen, using getActiveScreen() and then push it again if you do not override os onClose() automatically do it for you.

    But in above case when I click on the button "back" or screen previous override onclose and push, I see my first screen I wanted my current screen with the counter that is if active screen is having against label like new if I press the "back" button, it should display screen with the meter only eight and so on.

    Can someone please help me solve this problem.

    Thanks Peter for you answer, actually used function for pushscreen on stach display that was written by someone else, when I looked carefully there condtion as below,

    if (activeScreen != null) {
     Class screenClass =activeScreen.getClass();
        if (screen.getClass().equals(screenClass)) {
                        UiApplication.getUiApplication().popScreen(activeScreen);
        }
    }

    It's actually the previous screen of poping before push the screen from the class were same, just commented and everything works, even if you do not override onClose and press return, it will automatically displays the previous screen.

  • Mac Pro does not sleep

    Hello

    I noticed, that my Mac Pro (end 2013) with El Capitan is not going to sleep more, neither automatically nor manually by using the Menu.

    The screen goes black, but she is still ongoing. I tried the command "assertions of g - pmset" in the terminal, but there is nothing to prevent the Mac to sleep. Same thing with the activity in the Power Saver tab monitor. I also did a CMR and Reset the Pram.

    I think that the last backup may be the problem: I got a Macbook Pro, and I used the Macbook backup, to restore the Mac Pro.

    It's just a long shot, but I probably put the setting of night never inside the control panel of the Macbook, and this setting is not available on the Mac Pro.

    Which is causing the problem? Or does anyone know another solution?

    Thank you!

    See you miss something here:

    If your Mac does not sleep or wake up when expected - Apple supports

    • Try to sleep manually and note the time that you do. After a minute or two open the Console application in the Finder > Applications > utilities and look for log entries associated with low-power or sleep mode. Suspicious message here.

    My MP 2013 will also not sleep and I was not able to fix it without a new installation. If I can migrate users defining and app who won't sleep.  You will probably see journal entries that say, in output mode, low power, I.

  • How to upgrade the graphics card (gtx 770 or 980) on Mac Pro 3.1 (2008)?

    Hey,.

    I am looking to update my graphics card on my Mac Pro 3.1 - I currently have a GTX 660ti but I was looking to upgrade to a GTX 770 or, if possible GTX980.

    I have a few questions (GTX 770):

    • Power required: I found a tutorial , but I'm still not sure if the GTX 770 will draw too much power from the PSU?  The TDU is 230w and there are a lot of online chat on do not go above 225w.  I also noticed that my mac pro 3.1 is about 980w - so I'm confused as to why the limit of 225w has been mentioned (something to do with the power being driven by pci slots?)
    • Wiring: The gtx 770 has 1 x 6 pin and 1 x 8-pin connectors.  What/how should I connect to these terminals?  The tutorial mentions buying a Y 2 x 6-pin connector.  Is anyone able to confirm this?
    • Experience: Are confirmed cases of the GTX 770 works on a mac pro 3.1?

    Finally - I wonder about a 770GTX since I.  What is the best card (for games) that confirmed cases of work with the 2008 3.1 mac pro?

    Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

    The location PCle supplies 75 watts max. Each of the two connectors on the system board each supply 75 watts max.

    So, you can get 225 watts which for me is pretty close to 230 watts.

    Others have successfully used the 770
