  It is a digression of your technical question, but you haven't purchased two separate subscriptions for creative cloud? You are probably aware of this, but just in case you're not, a single Plan of creative photography cloud allows installation and activation on two computers. These computers can be two Macs, two windows, or one of each. See Adobe Creative Cloud FAQ for more information. Of course, you can have another reason to buy multiple subscriptions, but I wanted to clarify in case you can save yourself a little money.

• I want to install windows xp on my new Mac (purchased Parallels). I have my windows xp disk and product upgrade button. Should I purchase the retail version?

  My computer died about two weeks ago.  I was able to transfer many files, but I realized that a lot of my programs (Microsoft Project, for example) are still in Windows format.  My old computer was a Toshiba Satellite, which limped along for some time.  I went through a number of improvements, but the latest is windows xp, I have the disk to upgrade to.  I hope not having to buy a new retail disk, if possible.  Thoughts?  Thanks, Mike

  The1996Shadow if you buy the bundle Photoshop and first elements 13 of Photo and video editing software | Family of Adobe elements then the license will be cross-platform.  This means that you are authorized to install and use the software on two computers running Mac OS or Windows.

  If you choose Windows, however this will probably affect the download that is available for guests.  You can download the files to install for Mac OS from the following locations:

  Unfortunately, the serial numbers are platform-specific, so your Windows license is not valid for a Mac system.  In addition, the latest version of a perpetually licensed product is eligible a unique platform swap, so since you have the version X and XI is the last, there is no option to swap platforms in your case.

• I have CC Photoshop photography program (PS and LR), installed on 2 Macs, purchased Lightroom 6 Stand alone for a 3rd another macbook (with the same Adobe ID cc). On 3rd laptop, I get error "Activation limit".

  Yes, exactly, you should use separate E-mail identification.

  Even if you had bought the standalone product LR with an Adobe ID, you can use different ID to connect, which is not a problem.

• Lost Shopping App Store for Mac

  I lost a bunch of App Store for Mac purchases when my hard drive crashed. I got Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro X and the App Store has not any "knowledge" of this and makes me want to buy again. Assistance regarding the issue? I'm still able to make the Pages and Numbers, but does not show same I had GarageBand (which was free when I got my Mac!). Tried to contact Apple, but of course, nothing is returned. Hope that I have answered this because I really need to get back to editing, and I'm not going to throw another $500 for stuff that I have already 'own '! Thank you!!

  You must connect to the app store with the same apple ID used to buy applications initially. The applications are related to the ID, not the machine/drive.

  I recently had my Mac flew home with all my packages from design to this topic. I have all the purchased creative suite dvd, so I can't install it again on my new Mac of course. Will still work the serial numbers or will I have to contact Adobe to deactivate previous stolen Mac? Is this possible? I can also download Creative suite 5.5 online rather than using my dvd? Any help please!

  Yes, the serial numbers still works even if you are limited to two activations, and of course, you don't want the thief to use one of your activations.

  Looks like you have a few problems out out of the section of the App Store on your Mac purchase. I know that this is not a fun experience when the software does not work as expected, but not to worry, we can help you get this issue with the App Store sorted.

  The easiest and fastest, way to address problems with the gel on your Mac applications should start by forcing this app to close, and then reopen. To force the App Store to close, follow these steps:

  To close an application normally, choose leave in the application menu in the menu bar, or press command-Q. If an application does not respond, you can force it to close it using the Force to leave:

  1. Choose force quit from the Apple menu, or press Command-Option-Esc.
     This is to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete on a PC.
  2. Select the application does not respond within the window to leave, then click on force quit.

  

  Force a nearby application on your Mac.

  If the App Store always gives you problems after the reopening, force quit the application again. Hold down the SHIFT key while you open the App Store once more. Now shift while opening an application on your Mac temporarily that will prevent the app to reopen its documents and windows. If the problem persists for now, the best next step would simply restart your Mac. To do this, select the  in the upper left corner of your screen, then select "restart."

• Manually remove the iOS App files in the folder "Mobile Applications" on a Mac.

  In my eagerness, trying to save valuable disk space, I deleted all the files (40 GB) in the mobile apps on my mac. This folder has accumulated over 900 files app over the years. I am currently using only 160 apps on my iPhone. I deleted all the files (and emptied the Recycle Bin). After having to remove it, I was unable to download, only the applications that I use currently on the phone (160 of them), in my iTunes again (from the app store in iTunes). This is because iTunes App store thinks that I have already downloaded these applications; where I have deleted just manually in the Mobile Applications folder.

  After reading on the web that it is a mistake, I got cold feet and began a restoration of my time Machine to all 900 app files back.

  I started the process of restoring time Machine is because the thinning app is NOT allowing me to transfer my iTunes on mac purchases. I first thought I can "put" just the 160 apps from my phone, Mobile Applications to iTunes folder. Now, I realize that I can do is not "transfer purchases". I am on iOS 9.2.1 (6s iPhone Plus) and OS X El Captain (10.11.3) (Macbook Air).

  Moreover, I have a PDF file with a list of all the files in the Mobile Applications (900 application files) folder. I did it using an application called Print window. So I did not have a detailed list of all the files (apps) that I never downloaded. This is so that I can download the Apps on my iPhone directly (from the cloud) in case I need an app on my phone, in the future

  Critical how's this for keep the files in the folder of Mobile Applications on my Mac? In which case I have to restore my iPhone, applications will only download from the Cloud? If the answer is Yes to this question, I can go ahead and delete all the files in the folder of Mobile Applications manually to recover a good amount of disk space?

  You have more need to keep a local copy of the apps. Any application that you do not have at the time of a restoration is downloaded from the cloud provided that it is always available. You can view your list of 160 apps for everything you'd be really sad to lose and keep a copy of those. You don't necessarily need in the library. As long as you have the file .ipa somewhere you can add new in your library at a later date.

  I noticed when using OneDrive of Windows, there is a complementary set of files in a folder on the hard disk. I don't see this information on my Mac.

  I did exactly the same thing and contacted their customer service on the live chat. It took about an hour before someone was available, but he did return to normal and they also send me a box version that allows the two platforms at the same price. They just canceled my purchase of Windows, placed a Mac purchase on their system, sent me a new serial number and published records canned.

  We had 4 MAC Pro to our marketing service company (every 2 years and more). We use Adobe CS6 application version, we have 4 licenses of it on each of them.

  Our marketing recently hired new teammember so we had to buy additional Mac of course marketing to purchse it with all the required applications Adobe (Creative Suite 6 Std). Unfortunatelly in the meantime since the purchase of the last MAC Adobe has changed the license to the SA model. OK, then what? Is not serious. -Have you thought I bought the creative cloud composition and installed on the Mac.

  But the head of the marketing began to claim that the CC of the application version is not compatible with the format of the CS6 files and that they can't use it as a file/project is mainly created, processed and modified by several members of the team using CS6.

  So the question now is:

  HOW CAN I USE THE CC LICENSE APPLICATIONS TO INSTALL AND USE CS6?

  Just for accuracy it further - I don't want to use both versions in parallel at the same time. I don't want to use them in parallel. I'm happy to pay the monthly subscription of CC but want to use only the CS6 (which isn't officially be purchased as a product, at least in EU).

  Please test after each of the steps that you have not already tried it. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes. Remember, no one here is Apple or can help in problems of service the customer.

  Step 1

  If you have recently changed something in your Apple ID account (for example, the password), log out of the App Store and reconnect.

  Step 2

  A purchased app can only be updated by logging into the App Store with the same identifier Apple which was originally used to buy it. There is no way around this restriction, which applies also to the free applications. If you can not connect to help ID the buyer, remove the app and reinstall it. You will have to pay for it, once again, as appropriate.

  Step 3

  If you receive the alert when you try to update a grouped iLife application, select the shopping page in the App Store and find the application in your purchase history. If there is a button marked ACCEPT on the right, click on it.

  If you have a used Mac, bundled apps related to Apple ID of the original owner and may apply to you. Reportedly, customer service has published codes redemption to some owners of second who asked, but it is not guaranteed.

  Step 4
