Mac, VM XP Pro, Cisco VPN and printing.

I have an end-user running a Mac with a virtual XP Pro Machine that connects to our VPN corperate machine. This part works fine. Problems happen when he tries to print to a network printer. The job is just until it disconnects from the VPN and then it prints very well. No one knows what to do to fix this? I have little or no knowledge of MAC.

Kind regards

Dan

This could be the reason why printing does not work. To print traffic really vpn tunnel as split tunnel is not configured.

  • Cisco VPN and TOSHIBA 3G cards

    Hello

Since the introduction of WIN7 there was a big problem with the Cisco VPN client and 3G cards.
See the next on the Cisco support forum thread: https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2017102

The interesting part is this post:

It seems that Cisco uses what is called Citrix DNE.

So I Googled it and came up with this link:
    http://www.Citrix.com/lang/English/LP/lp_1680845.asp

    On this page it says:
DNE now supports the WWAN devices in Win7. Before you download the latest version of DNEUpdate from the links below, make sure you have the latest drivers for your network card by downloading from the websites of sellers.

It might be a long shot, but someone can it there with a card 3 G TOSHIBA, win7, and cisco VPN access, try this new version of Citrix DNE?

You have Toshiba laptop with 3G card?
Can you test for us and post the result?

    I n t have Win7 on my machine.

  • Problem with the Cisco VPN and Vista client

    Hello

I have an easy VPN server configured on a c2811 and users use the Cisco VPN client. Lately, I have users running Windows Vista 64 bit and I need to know what is the correct version of the vpn client, I have to use and the compatibility problems with the server, I configured.

    Thank you and best regards.

Cisco VPN Client doesn't have any version that is compatible with Vista 64 bit OS. The only customer that Cisco has released that supports the 64 bit OS's AnyConnect, but it is only supported on the CISCO ASA Appliance

    access-list 100 permit ip 192.168.77.0 0.0.0.255 any

no nat ip within the source list 1 int Fa0/0 overload

Note that if you get an error after this last order saying NAT entries are in use, leave the config mode, do:

clear the ip nat trans *.

return to mode config, and then retype the command. You must make sure that when you do a 'wr t', there is only a single command 'ip nat inside source... ". "in the config and it is the one that refers to ACL 100.

  • problem Cisco VPN, X100e

Hi, I have my new x100e for a few days, and I'm trying to make it work with Cisco VPN client to connect remotely to my work. Cisco is works perfectly if connected via WiFi or LAN, but not working not not via integrated UMTS modem. When I start Cisco VPN and attempt to connect, I wonder login and pwd, everything works OK, after that, trying to open the web page you requested does not charge.

When I tried external USB modem with its own pilots etc everyting was working properly. If I try UMTS modem built to normal when web pages not connected to the VPN, everything works OK also.

Can someone help me solve this problem? I bought this laptop specially for this integrated modem.

    Thank you very much

"The potential compatibility issues" you will find this:
The VPN Client on Windows 7 does not support devices WWAN (also called wireless data cards).

If the problem is the customer himself who don't recognize connection of data card (strange but possible), the HSDPA connection made to the old (via dialup) can be a solution.

Just make a modem connection to the number * 99 * 1 # and put the usual initialization string in the modem of the advanced properties at + cgdcont = 1, "IP", 'your apn'

Map of gobi works both as a network adapter or a modem.

    It's worth a try

  • RV120 VPN with full Cisco VPN Client?

Is it possible to configure the RV120 for a VPN IPsec for use with the complete Cisco VPN client?

I tried, but it does not appear to support "Goup of authentication.

I see in the confi router I can put a PSK, but the complete VPN client seems only accecpt "Goup authentication."

I managed on the basis for the work "Fast VPN", how it works is beyond me, because he does not appear to create an adapter with an IP address or anything on the local line, and I didn't even create a VPN policy...

Or put another way, what alternative (Free) VPN clients are there to work with the RV120?

  • HP Officejet Pro L7590 and printing software Mac Yosemite 10.10

I installed my Mac to a mew 2014 MacBook Pro with the retina and Yosemite 10.10.1.

I want to install my old HP Officejet Pro L7590. I have the printer connected by network cable to my Comcast network hub. There is a stable connection on both ends (the lights are on). What software download to install the printer? Is it not available for Yosemite yet? Where is it located? I guess that its not available to Yosemite yet? I don't have the original software. Thank you.

    Hi @rustyblue,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

Currently, it there is no full software features and drivers directly through HP for Mac OS X 10.10 for this printer model. However, after some research, I found this driver directly by Apple. HP v3.0 for OS X printer drivers.

If you need help with scanning without HP software, please see this post, Re: iMac OS X 10.9.3 scan driver for HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 a A910a to iMac doesn't seem to be, by my colleague @Sunshyn2005. Even though this post is for Mac OS X 10.9.3 and another printer, these steps will work on 10.10 as well for your printer.

I hope that helps you get up and running, please let me know if you have any additional questions!

  • Comments Win XP cannot connect to the network when Cisco VPN works on Mac

Guest OS (Win XP) on the merger connects to the network, no problem. However, when I start a Cisco VPN on my Mac (not in the guest operating system) and then start Fusion/guest OS, the guest cannot connect to the network.

I was able to use this configuration for a year on an old MacBook Pro (unibody). Last month, I got a new MacBook Pro and flying over my virtual machine image. I don't check for a few weeks. I'm sure I fly over the image correctly because everything else seems OK or if the IT guys doing something to block my traffic over the VPN.

    Config

    -Fusion - Version 3.1.0 (261 058)

    -Mac - 10.6.4

So far, I have tried the following

-started to merge and XP without VPN on Mac - OK (bridge autodetect)

-launched VPN to work, and then launched Fusion - no network

-tried ipconfig/release, ipconfig / renew - not always no network

-tried NAT - do always no network

Thanks in advance. For any help or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

    Bernie

The NAT value and then restart the virtual machine.  Works for me with the VPN client built into a cisco router.

Do not work the real on 10.6.4 cisco software unless you really need to.

  • Kernel panic reproducible when using VMWare Fusion and Cisco VPN

I can reliable reproduce a kernel panic when I use VMWare Fusion and Cisco VPN set.

Using either done alone causes no problem.

I'm on a mac book pro using the latest updates from Apple for Leopard.

My question is: How can I report this to VMWare without having to pay for support?

When I go to the VMWare fusion support page he wants me to pay for an incident.

I really do not want to pay them to help solve a kernel panic.  (They pay me .)

Announcing the details here (don't forget to join the panic.log as in HOWTO: ask (and answer) Questions) will work.

  • Cisco VPN Client causes a blue screen crash on Windows XP Pro (Satellite M30)

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro M30 running Windows XP Professional.

After you start a vpn Tunnel via a customer of Cisco VPN (Version 4.6 and 4.7), the system crashes with a blue screen.

I see that the key exchange is successful, but immediately after the vpn connection is established Windows XP crashes with a blue screen.

Someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

Perhaps by the updated device driver? And if so, which driver should be updated?

    Kind regards

    Hello

Well, it seems that the Cisco client is a problem.
I m unaware of this product because it of not designed by Toshiba.
I think that the drivers are not compatible with the Windows operating system.
However, I found this site troubleshooting cisco vpn client:

  • HP Officejet Pro 6830: NEW HP PRINTER only IS NOT supported with the current El captain on Apple Mac software

Hi have just purchsed the HP officejet Pro 6830 and the course of development in place, is that the current operating system (Mac El Captain) does not support this printer. FRUSTRATING! Suggestions that I can download other software that will support the printer or do I have to return it and get another printer?

    Hello!

Try the printer driver called HP v3.1 for Apple's OS X printer drivers.

You can download it here: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL907?locale=en_US

Let me know if this helped.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8100 does not print - wired network connection - Mac OS x 10.9

I have my 8100 Officejet Pro connected to my home network via a wired ethernet connection. I use Mac OS X 10.9. We had ongoing problems with the printer is accessible via the network. Whenever we have set up the connection, it works for a few print jobs, but whenever we close the printer, the next attempt to print always fails.

I just went through all steps to solve the problem. I went back to square one: reinstalled printer drivers on my MacBook Pro running Mac OS x 10.9; has passed through all stages of wired network connection. and now, every time I send a job to the printer, it fits like the receipt of employment and printing, but the printer itself does not.

The Billboard on the printer indicates it is connected to the network. Print the Network Setup page confirms it is connected to the cable network. Visit the IP address of the printer via my web browser also confirmed. I am able to print a printer HP Print Utility status report, so I don't know that the computer network and the printer are connected and communicate with each other. However, I can't print from MS Word, PDF files or anywhere else outside of the HP Print utility. Work is revealed in the queue, where it shows the status of each page completely 100%, employment disappears, but does never print it.

Help, please. This has been a problem since I bought the printer, and now that my warranty has expired, it's my last hope of fixing. I'm at the end of my tether with a device that I spent enough money on to expect to work, and it does not work properly literally since the day where it was purchased. All attempts to implement working temporarily, at best. Thanks in advance and if you need more information, please let me know.

    Hi DBG345

I understand that you are now able to print from USB, but not on the network.

There are a few things you can try.

Connect the printer to the router with the ethernet cable.

    Unplug the USB cable.

Get the IP address of the printer.

    Click on the Apple.
Click on System Preferences, click on the print icon and scanning, select the printer, click the sign - to remove the printer. Then click on the + sign, then select the printer from the list, select the printer name first, if it does not try the driver airprint, (airprint is apple pre-installed with functionality of basic pilot) click on the Add button.

You can try is to add the printer as a Protocol IP to see if it will work. Go to Apple, system, print, and scan preferences, click on + button, then select the icon of intellectual property across the top, type in the IP address of the printer, select direct stream below, then apply.

    Try to print.

I would like to sign up for updates from the HP driver. When available, you will be informed by e-mail.

    Hope that helps.
