MacBook is not recognized by parachuting on iPad

Well well, boring as usual, he does not work for some reason any.

MacBook Pro 15 retina "(mid-2012)

iPad Mini (2013)

Try to send a few photos from my iPad to my MacBook, the MacBook is not recognized by the iPad. The other way around is not a problem, I can see my iPad stated on the record of AirDrop on the MacBook and the transfer also works well in this direction.

I tried several solutions, obv. Turning the air drop / disable / Bluetooth / Wifi, reset the settings on the iPad, iPad and MacBook reboot of the network, and so on, nothing works.

The point is, maybe a month ago, everything worked perfectly in both directions, MacBook release the iPad and iPad to MacBook, just as I didn't expect. What I suspect, that is, after updating both devices with the latest operating system software, it probably stopped working as well.

I can do to fix that? I just want to send you some pictures of the iPad for the MacBook using airdrop.

  • MacBook Pro not recognizing the Cougar USB install

I have a Macbook Pro 5.2-17 "retina display. I replaced the hard drive and I am installing Mountain Lion. The hard drive is not an SSD. It's a 500 GiB Western Digital SATA, partitioned with TPG and JHFS +.

I started by installing El Capitan, because that's all I had. The installer of El Capitan is on an external USB drive that is partitioned. When I boot using the down Option key, the C key or command-R, the installer of El Capitan is recognized. I installed El Capitan, created an installer of Mountain Lion on a different partition on the same external USB drive and erased El Capitan the internal hard drive. When I boot on the USB setup of Mountain Lion is not recognized. Setup of El Capitan is recognized correctly. Why not available in boot manager during startup? When I got El Capitan installed, the two partitions have been recognized very well when I plugged in the USB. Both were mounted and appears on the desktop. So I know that the problem is not the USB key, or 2.0 or 3.0, or the recovery partition because I erased the disc and the recovery partition is no longer exist. How can I get the installer of Mountain Lion to be recognized at startup?

I did the command Option P R, NVRAM reset several times. No joy. The only partition recognized at boot time is the installer of El Capitan.

I want to level back to Mountain Lion because it is less intrusive than El Capitan and will be more familiar to the person who will use this computer.

Oh, and more than two elements. When I start the installer for OS X from the external USB drive, I gives me three options on where to install TO - install OS X El Capitan, install OS X Lion mountain and Macintosh HD. Therefore the partition setup of Mountain Lion is recognized, but not as an installer to start from. Although when I plugged in the USB port when El Capitan was installed he showed as an installer Mountain Lion.

Also, there is NO option to choose where to install FROM. If I have two installation programs, I have two choices of installation?

    Hi Richard2938,

If your password doesn't work intermittently, first try to restart your computer.  If the problem persists, use the S.o.s. Keychain utility to repair your login keychain.

Otherwise, you can reset your password to admin (login):

  • iPhone, iPad Air 2 not recognized by iTunes

Very frustrated right now. Given that Apple's Support is not in contact with return despite requests, the story will go here. I have Windows 10, iPhone 6 + and iPad Air 2. Last weekend I was invited to and did pass to iTunes 12.5.1.21. Plugged my iPhone 6 +. Not recognized by iTunes; 'sync' gray. Tried the same thing with my iPad 2 Air. Same result. I get no error message.  Here are my troubleshooting - what I'm missing, Apple?

    1. Lightning card Checked, works fine with other devices.
    2. Rebooted PC.
    3. Rebooted IPhone.
    4. Restarted iPad Air 2.
    5. I've tried different start up sequences (start iTunes connect manually; first)
    6. Went to 'Upgrade device via Device Manager' - these devices are working properly.
    7. Updated my iPhone and iPad 2 air for iOS 10 successfully.
    8. Apple email support; 48 hours later they gave me another email address for contact.
    9. Chose the Contact Apple Support via phone option - screen "we will call you - your phone will ring at any time.  Still waiting for the phone to ring.
    10. From Discussions on Apple's site with troubleshooting tips, have tried all suggestions with no luck - If iTunes does not recognize your iPhone, iPad or iPod - Apple Support.
    11. I even opened and closed the blinds completely throughout my house to see if that would help.  Go figure.
    12. The last resort on them, says "Contact Apple support" - see #9 above.  Twice.

Apple-Support - What should I do at this point?  I'm all ears, and Android is looking better and better during my next upgrade.

Happy to report that I finally found a position that has fixed this. Someone has to give Community contributor turingtest2 a price, they had an incredible post in communities that have corrected my problem.  See below for the excellent suggestions.

I found that if it becomes necessary to use time machine to return to an earlier existence to reinstall the iphoto library, if for some reason, you lose lose, then when you try to synchronize your ipad is not recognized by the computer.  So when you try to synchronize the pictures, they are all removed from the ipad and trying to reinstall everything again.

This may or may not work immediately.  In my case, only half the photos have been installed, and then the error message came that the rest of 9000 can be installed.

I contacted Apple support team who has made various suggestions.  Subsequently clicking on a photo list in iTunes were all going again and pictures of 9000 then installed.  When I asked the support team what could happen I was told that it was a "glitch".  I don't like seeds they mean that there could be an error in coding somewhere.

Here me again.  I use an iMac and iPad.  I don't know why XP and iPhone came.

Now I plug it to my PC (Windows XP Home Edition) and the drive is not recognized, no 'letter' is not assigned to the player. Drive HARD watch as "healthy (protection GPT Partition) under 'computer management' window and I can't assign a letter on the HARD disk."
I don't want to format the drive, I just need to save some files to it (a few concerts info).
I was told that the use of a "Data Disc Recovery Tool" that reads the GPT Partitions will help me.
