Magic 2 mouse installation

I'm trying to set up a Magic Mouse 2. The actions feature is grayed out under System Prefs. Someone knows why?

If you're on the beta version, you must download El Capitan on the App store and update as needed.   Then it should work.   If this isn't the case, upgrade to 10.11.2.

My Dell USB Wired mouse installs only as a hid compatible mouse. I deleted the hid driver but it always returns when I plug the Dell mouse. Where can I find a driver for it? Computer's Inspiron 24 3455. The mouse is the cheapo Dell supplied with the desktop computer.

    Thank you.

Is it really a Microsoft, Logitech, or some other mice of brand (with the Dell name on it)?

If it was made by Logitech (which is entirely possible), you can install the Setpoint from Logitech (free) software that expected to let you program the scroll wheel button, etc.

Look on the site of Logitech to see if you can find a mouse that looks like yours and download the application of corresponding setpoint for the mouse and your version of Windows. Be a good idea to manually set a system restore point before installing the Setpoint software, just in case you need to save because of an unexpected problem.

Other brands may have also their own mouse software equivalent, but I am only familiar with Logitech.

    Hello Apple family,.

I used the MacBook yesterday nothing weird was going on with him, and then this morning I started it upward and the surprise... No trackpad clicks on work, not much, I thought that pluged a mouse Microsoft to roll, clicks don't always work. Then I haven't tried magic Apple Mouse via BT and no still no click function. Called Apple at this stage and explained that my mouse pointer, I could move but clicks were not a reset me the pram then start secure, then they had me try to restore the r command yet no clicks... Therefore, I am unable to restore or do anything really in fact. Boots fine sounds work keys work just some clicks. I wonder if anyone has any Intel on what could have caused this major disruption! I have Apple care and I can take it, but I like 2 1/2 hours away, the nearest store... If I can fix it myself without cancelling my plan of care, I'd like that a lot lol. Thanks for reading!

  • Satellite A80 129 usb mouse problem

I have MS USB Intellimouse Optical. And if I connect the mouse to the first USB port (under the laptop computer right speaker), the mouse installs and then with the mouse disconnected constantly. As he works for a few seconds then disconnects and reconnects again, constantly. If I connect it to the other three USB ports, all is well. I don't want to use the other three ports for the connection of the mouse, but I want to use the primary, cause of handling convience (DVD-ram opening and limited space on my table). Also I installed the drivers for the Microsoft mouse, but the mouse plays the same.

So is this hardware or software problem?

I have WinXP Pro SP2 installed.

    Best regards, Kekec.

    Hi kekec

Is there a possibility to check this port with another external device? It will be interesting to know if there is problem using some another unit.

Anyway, in my opinion, it may be just the hardware problem.

  • Re: Lack of data partition after installing partition magic

Hi there I m after a little help.

Yesterday, I installed a program called partition magic. The installation went without errors or problems, but then when I run the program for the 1st time I got a blue screen and my closed laptop. I restarted the laptop and uninstalled the partition magic, but now, I noticed that the data partition is missing. I tried to do a restore back to before I installed the partition magic, but it does not help.

Any help would be great. Thank you

    Lee

    Hi Lee,.

May I ask why you installed the partition magic? Installation of these programs is always a bit risky and should only be done if you really want to change some sheet music or something else.

Have you already checked Windows Disk Manager? Go to control panel > system and security > administrative tools > computer management.

You can see the second partition and might be hidden or something else?

I had Windows 10 but unfortunately had a total breakdown of the system, and I had to format the hard drive. My magic Apple Mouse worked perfectly with Windows 10.

  • Pair magic keyboard or the magic mouse 2 with multiple Macs

We have two El Capitan 10.11.3 running MacBook Air.  We have an office for a docking configuration environment / clamshell with an external monitor, a keyboard of magic and Magic Mouse 2.  As one of us needs to use this office Installer, anchor us the MacBook and then use the Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse 2.  However, whenever a MacBook is exchanged, we must re-pair the mouse and the keyboard using the connector of the lightning, because the Exchange system throws a 'unsuccessful connection. Please connect the device again. "error.

These two devices are unable to maintain matching configurations to multiple Macs?  I read several reviews on this site that describes how to join multiple Macs using the mouse Magic Mouse and wireless keyboard.  It would be very disappointing if this feature has been ruled out.  In fact, let's make these devices if this is the case.  We understand devices does not simultaneously connect to two Macs, and it would be nice if we did not re-pairing through lightning connector whenever we swapped the laptop used in the office,

    Thank you!

You can only pair you with one device at a time. They are not multi-user features. You can use on a single computer at a time.

  • APPLE MAGIC MOUSE - THIS WILL WORK ON WINDOWS?

I'm running Windows 7 on two different computers and would like to buy the Apple Magic Mouse (wireless).  It will work with Windows if I install the drivers from third party sites, I see online?
I like to hear from anyone who tried.  Some reviews say it works... Some say it is not.
Given that some Apple systems have installed MAC and Windows systems... I don't understand why Apple does not only provide drivers for this mouse works with both.

    Greg

    Hello Greg,.

Apple magic mouse won't work with Windows 7 or else no matter what Windows operating system. It is specially designed for Mac users and not users of Windows.

The requirements for the magic mouse from Apple has been considered by the Apple site

    The system configuration required

    * Computer Mac with Bluetooth wireless technology
    * Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0* or Mac OS X v10.6.1 or later with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0
    * Existing keyboard and mouse for the installation
    * Two AA batteries (included)

  • My magic mouse has stopped working.   Is there a battery that I need to replace?

My magic mouse stop working.   Do I have to replace a battery?  If so, how?

If it's a Magic Mouse 2 then you reload by using a standard USB cable Flash. The port is at the bottom of the mouse. If it's a Magic Mouse, then you must replace the batteries. Coverage is at the bottom of the mouse.
