The laptop does not recognize the USB mouse. I have re installed the drivers from the site of the constructor (HP), but it still does not work.
In addition, the internal Laptop speakers no longer work. There is no sound coming out of the laptop and it does not recognize the external headphones plugged into the headphone jack.

Problem with the INF file trying to replace the USB mouse
I am trying to replace a USB mouse that works but sometimes gives me double clicks rather than alone. But all the attempts to have it translated into the same error viz:
"The driver for this device is missing a necessary entry, maybe it's because the file INF was written for windows 95 or later." Contact your hardware vendor. »
The mouse I'm replacing is an optical mouse of Trust and so far I have tried 3 other optical mice - an ASDA brand, a Dell and a Logitech Value Optical Mouse. All with the same result.
All the mice tried claim to be plug-and-play compatible with Vista (Home Premium installed). None came with the drivers and the last Logitech there is no download associated with it - I don't think this problem of the manufacture.
Any ideas anyone?
Old Man River,

Impossible to install the USB/mouse driver
I recently was unable to use my external mouse. Similarly, I was unable to use USB keys.
Whenever I plug in a 'sound' in the registers of the computer as a USB is detected, but the driver cannot be installed.
In Device Manager", the USB/mouse device appears with a yellow exclamation point, which specifies that it is Error 52 - cannot verify the digital signature.
I tried to use 'Device Manager' to uninstall and reinstall, but without success. Similarly, I tried the 'Microsoft Fix it' program ' with similar results.
The computer is running Windows 7 with a 64-bit operating system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
James
Hi James,
1. what fixit from microsoft that you ran on the computer?

A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

Software BlackBerry mix conflict with the USB mouse
I installed Blend and had no problems. It does not connect while the USB mouse is connected to the computer. If I disconnect the mouse, then mix will connect to my passport. IT remains connected and happy until I have plug in a USB mouse. At that time it disconnects immediately.

You have the opportunity to try another USB cable?

USB mouse not working not not on Windows 7
Hi all
The mouse to my PC has just randomly stopped working. I connect it to the PC and I get an error indicating that the driver could not be installed. I went to Windows Update and tried to install "Microsoft - pointing drawing - Microsoft USB Mouse Hardware", but failed. Then I went into the properties of the pilot of the aircraft and tried to update, but I got an error saying "access denied." I uninstalled my anti-virus software and disabled the Windows Firewall to see if it would solve all conflicts, but nothing worked :/ I also tried 3 other mouse on the computer but the same errors with each.
Any help would be appreciated
Thank you

IP address of the USB does not
My understanding is that when you plug a PlayBook or a Dev Alpha device on your PC via the USB port, you should be able to access through the:
169.254.0.1
But I can not "ping" this IP address.
And when I go to:-> on gear icon-> network, it does not show an IP address of the USB. (as an article I found via Google suggested)
I do not have BlackBerry Desktop 7.1 installed, do not know if it matters. (I signed up for the but today beta area cannot find a link for BB Desktop 7.1 in beta zone, so if someone knows this answer to the place where do I enter that, it would be useful to know)
I would really like to understand this so that I don't always have to deploy via Wi - Fi, which for examlple, does not work on the hotel Wi-Fi because I assume they are running their router mode of insulation for safety reasons.
Thank you!
Daniel
I had a problem as well. Installing Desktop Software 7 solved the problem. Not sure if it was a coincidence or not.
