Adobe Premiere Pro 2014 CC maintains late and crashing
My Adobe Premiere Pro 2014 CC maintains late and crashing to a point where I can't do my job. When I open my first file, I can work on my calendar for maybe two or three minutes before it lags, freezes and then eventually crashes. I am at a loss of what is exactly causing my problem because I edit mostly the H.264 files and my sequences are not complex in every sense of the term. I've dealt with this days and I can't seem to find a solution. If anyone has any advice please let me know because I'm desperate. Thank you.
Data sheet:

Hi Dana,
Can you go to the settings-general project file and change the video renderer only in software mode.
Check if it works or not.
You use any third party plug-in for Premiere Pro?
Thank you

Hello... I had nothing else problems with movie maker. My clips download a lot of my camcorder. I edit... No problem. I add credits without problem, but when I publish all the jams up after 10 minutes. I tried to reduce the amount of clips, etc. Although this is better than what I get lately and it's "Windows has closed the movie maker and will search for the problem" then I get the message below? I tried what they suggested, but you can not add 'Director' for programs that exclude the DEP. It seems to me that the entire program is corrupted on my PC... If Yes, how can I clean and start over? My MESH PC came with Vista installed so I can't do much. Help, please. PS: FOR 18 MONTHS, I have not had ANY PROBLEM WITH MOVIE MAKER AT ALL.
This is the message that I get a lot.
Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that can help prevent damage to your computer from viruses and other security threats. Harmful programs can try to attack Windows by attempting to run (also known as execute) authorized the code from the locations of memory system reserved for Windows and other programs. These types of attacks can affect your programs and files.DEP can help protect your computer by analyzing your programs to make sure that they use the system safely memory. If DEP notices a program on your computer using memory incorrectly, it closes the program and notifies you.

Hi Pete,.
It seems that Windows Movie Maker is corrupted and causing issues on the machine at a certain point of freezing.
May I know when it works very well is the last time?
You can try to perform a restore of the system on the computer, if you remember when it was working fine.
You can follow the given article:
http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/936212
If this is not enough, you may need to make arrangements for a Windows Vista disk repair files corrupt on the computer.
Hope the information will help. Please post back and we do know.
Thank you & best regards

Maintain transparency and "multiply" in InDesign when recording to the PSD of Corel GIR
Hello
I'm new to InDesign, but not Adobe and want to ask questions about best practices for overlay images containing transparency.
My current project is a children's book that contains a background of the mask with the appearance of an old Victorian newspaper. (brown, tint etc.)
My overlays of copying this beautiful but I am struggling to place the artwork.
I want to do is create an artwork in Corel Painter (for his beautiful watercoloring), export to Photoshop and then place the PSD on the page in InDesign.
Export of painter translated the 'freeze' layer to "compete" in PS. Can I change this to multiply without problem.
When I take off the base layer in PSD (a graph of the temporary page of Brown) color water channels previously have a horrible white fringe.
When I place this file in InDesign, there seems to be no way to "multiply" layer on the beautiful Brown illustration work I have on the page and the horrible white fringe remains.
A I guess too? I thought that it would be common in any software from Adobe to apply the attributes of layers.
I understand that it is perhaps more a poor workflow problem than a 'fault' for InDesign, but I'm curious to know if anyone has a similar experience / advice.
Thank you very much
Mark
InDesign uses a different graphics engine and does not honor PSD blending modes. You can place the layers separately and set blend modes in InDesign, or add the copy in Photoshop and save them in PDF format.

Where are my files maintained links and update
I am farily new using Contribute for I'm not sure I'm even using the right jargon to describe what I want to know. I'm looking for a place to Contribute CS5, which show where the files I linked are kept within. Because I'm not actually load images or files on the site... is it meand that remain on my computer? I work with several other programs (Drouple, wordpress) I can see the structure of files, file names. Any tips? I'm on OSX 10.7.3
What worries me the most, is when I update a file... for example, my file "tutorial" and I want to ensure that his place linked to more than one, which he updates this file in ALL the places I've linked it to. It is difficult trying to always remember where I've related this file to! Is there an easy way to make sure that the file is getting updated with each link? I thought if I could see the file structure, I was able to delete the file and replace it with the updated file and it would update on ALL the links. Any suggestion would be appreciated!
Upward near the top right, you will see the word "select". You will be able to navigate the structure in the same way as you do Windows Explorer.

How to fix iPhone 6 home &; lock screen? (and apps)
So my iPhone 6 has been left for about 5 hours and I woke up and it was hot. Applications went so quickly I them all turned off and turned my phone off, so it can cool. 10 minutes later, when it got cooler, I opened it again and there was a transparent box with an arrow circle at the bottom that I can not click and it read: "ESO; The brotherhood of darkness"on the lock screen. (Which is not part of my baggage) I have never played nor heard of this game until it continues to show on my phone. (It is not on the apple store). I tried to turn it off to restart, but it is still there, especially in the dark. I don't know if I should be concerned it shows and disappears when my light is completely upward. But in any case, is it possible to take the transparent app on my home screen and lock? (it also shows on which applications are a bit dark)
Have you tried a forced restart (by building and maintaining home and power until the Apple appears then release buttons to finish to start)? Have you tried to restore from a back to the top? Restore like new?
Edit: it occurs to me that you can also have suggested active apps. Settings > general > transfer & suggested Applications. Cut the two settings and see if that makes a difference.

Things you can do to solve the slow Downs
If your computer seems to run slower, here are some things you can do:
Start with tours: OS X maintenance - MacAttorney;
The X Lab: the X-frequently asked questions.
" Safe mac" Mac Performance Guide;
" Safe mac" the myth of the dirty Mac;
Start in Safe Mode , and then repair your hard disk and permissions:
Fix the hard disk and permissions before Lion
Boot from your OS X install disk. After the installer loads, choose your language and click on the button continue. When the menu bar appears select utility drive in the Utilities menu. After that the charges of THE select your entry from hard drive (mfgr. ID and car size) in the list on the left. In the status area, you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is faulty or has failed. (State SMART is not reported on external drives Firewire or USB). If the drive is "verified", then select your OS X volume in the list on the left (subentries under the entry for the road), click the first aid tab, then click the repair disk button. If THE reports any errors that have been corrected, and then run repair disk again until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, click repair permissions. Wait until the operation is complete, then exit FROM and return to the installer.
Repair the hard drive - Lion-Lion/mountain/Mavericks
HD recovery start:
Restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and hold down the COMMAND and R until it appears the screen of Menu utilities. Otherwise, restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and hold down the OPTION key until the Boot Manager screen. Select recovery HD disk icon and click on the button below.
When the recovery menu appears, select disk utility. If no error is not reported, then click repair permissions. Wait until the operation is complete, then exit FROM and return to the main menu. Select restart from the Apple menu.
Restart your computer normally and see if it helped at all. Then do little maintenance:
For disk utility can't handle situations, the best third party is Disk Warriorutility; Fixed DW only for problems with the disk directory, but most disk problems are caused by the corruption of directory; Warrior drive 4.x is now compatible with Intel Mac.
Note: Alsoft ships DW on a bootable DVD that will boot Mac running Snow Leopard or earlier. He cannot start Mac that came with Lion or later preinstalled, however, DW will work on these models.
Suggestions for OS X maintenance
OS X performs certain maintenance functions that are supposed to take place on a daily, weekly, or monthly period. Maintenance scripts that are run at the beginning AM only if the computer is turned on 24/7 (no sleep). If this isn't the case, then a great solution is to download and install a shareware like Macaroni, JAW PseudoAnacronor Anacron utility that will automate the maintenance regardless of whether activity if the computer is off or asleep. Dependence on third-party utilities to run periodic maintenance scripts has been significantly reduced since Tiger. These utilities have little or no functionality with Snow Leopard or later version, and must not be installed.
OS X automatically defrags files smaller than 20 MB in size, so unless you have a disk full of very large files it little need to defragment the hard drive.
Under no circumstances should you install operating MacPaw or ZeoBit software (CleanMyMac/CleanMyDrive or Mac Keeper, respectively.) You don't need special software to keep your computer.

Open Safari, select Preferences from the Safari menu. Click the Extensions icon in the toolbar. Disable all Extensions. If it stops your problem, then re-enable one by one until the problem returns. Now remove this extension as it is the origin of the problem.
The following comes from user stevejobsfan0123. I made minor changes to adapt to this presentation.
Difficulty a few pop ups browser that supported Safari
Common pop - ups include a message saying that the Government has taken over your computer and you pay release (often called "Moneypak"), or a false message saying that your computer has been infected and you need to call a number of tech support (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it to be resolved. First of all, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and that your computer has not been assigned. This "hack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so don't pay not money, call number, or provide personal information. This article will give an overview of the solution to remove the pop-up window.
Quit Safari
Usually, these pop-ups will not go by clicking 'OK' or 'Cancel '. In addition, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in grey, including the option to leave Safari. You'll probably force quit Safari. To do this, press command + option + ESC, select Safari, press on force quit.
Relaunch Safari
If you restart Safari, the page will reopen. To avoid this, hold the "Shift" key when opening Safari. This will prevent windows since the last time that Safari was running since the reopening.
It will not work in all cases. The SHIFT key must be maintained at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window is displayed again. In these circumstances, after force quit Safari, turn off Wi - Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then restart Safari normally. He'll try to reload the malicious Web page, but without a connection, it will not be able to. Leave this page by entering a different URL, i.e. www.apple.com and try to load it. Now you can reconnect to the Internet and the page that you entered is displayed rather than the malicious.
An excellent link to read is Tom Reed Mac Guide of malicious programs.

If you need antivirus protection Thomas Reed recommends to use ClamXAV. (Thanks to Thomas Reed to this recommendation.)
The user Joe Bailey comes this equally useful advice:
The facts are:
1. There is no anti-malware software can detect 100% of malware out there.
2. There is no anti-malware that can detect all targeting the Mac.
3. the best way to prevent breaches the most is for you as the user is aware that
the most successful malware attacks rely on sophisticated social engineering
techniques preying on human greed, * and fear.
4 Internet pop-up windows telling the FBI, NSA, Microsoft, your ISP has detected malware on
your computer is designed to trick you into installing their malware thinking it's a
protection against malware.
5. some of the anti-malware market products are worse than malware
go where they are supposed to protect you.
6. be careful where you go on the internet.
7. don't download anything from sites, you know are safe.
8 avoid links that you receive in email, always be wary, even if you get something
you think a friend is, but that you did not expect.
9. If there is any question in your mind, then assume that it is malware.
Troubleshooting Applications
I recommend that you download a utility such as TinkerTool System, OnyX, Mavericks Cache Cleaneror hiding a Cocktail that you can use to delete the former newspapers and archives, cleaning, etc. Corrupted cache, logs or temporary files can slow down the application or OS X crashes and panics of the kernel.
If you have leopard snow or leopard, then for similar repairs install Applejackfreeware utility. If you do not start in OS X, you can boot into single-user mode , where you can run Applejack to make a set of routines for repair and maintenance of the command line. Note that it takes 1.5 AppleJack for Leopard. AppleJack 1.6 is compatible with Snow Leopard. Applejack does not work with Lion and later versions.
Basic backup
For some people, Time Machine will be more than enough. Time Machine is part of Mac OS X. There are two components:
1. a panel of Time Machine preferences as part of the system of preferences;
2. a request for Time Machine, located in the Applications folder. It's
used to manage backups and restore backups. Time Machine
requires a backup drive that is at least twice the capacity of the
drive being backed up.
You can also get an external drive at least equal to the size hard disk internal and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the disk utility's restore option. You can also create and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (the order is not significant):
2. get backup
5. Synk Pro
6. Tri-Backup
Visit The FAQ XLab and read the FAQ on the backup and restore. Also read How to back up and restore your files. For using Time Machine, visit FAQ Time Machine of Pondini for help with all this time Machine.
Referenced software can be found at MacUpdate .
Additional tips
Make sure you have a sufficient amount of RAM installed for the number of applications you run simultaneously. Make sure to leave a minimum of 10% of the capacity of the hard disk as free space.
Add more RAM. If your computer less than 2 GB of RAM and you use OS X Leopard or later, then you can do it with more RAM. Snow Leopard and Lion works much better with 4 GB of RAM that is their system. Most concurrent applications, that you tend to use the more RAM you should have.
Always have at least 15 GB, or 10% of the capacity of your hard disk as free space, the largest. OS X frequently accesses your hard disk, so offering enough free space will keep things slow down.
Check for applications that may be hogging the CPU:
Before Mavericks
Open the activity monitor in the Utilities folder. Select all processes in the drop process . Click the % CPU column heading twice to display in descending order. If find you a process that uses a large amount of time processor (> = 70,) then select the process, and then click the quit icon in the toolbar. Click the force quit button to kill the process. See if that helps. Don't forget to mention the name of the runaway process, so you can find the cause of the problem.
Mavericks and later versions
Open the activity monitor in the Utilities folder. Select all processes in the menu display . Click the CPU tab in the toolbar.
This problem occurs often because of a corrupted cache or the preferences file or an attempt to write in a corrupted log file.

My first iMac - must provide advice on Protection antivirus and backup please
Hi all
So after 30 years of use of windows pc I finally had my first iMac
I am pleasantly satisfied how the iMac is easy to use although I have a few questions noob:
1 / I have to install anti-virus on my iMac software? one of the reasons why I chose the Mac is because of its superior security, but I still have to form any antivirus, and if yes what do you recommend?
2 / the iMac has it built in the hard disk recovery partition? I have not been invited to do a backup am so that a little worried if everything should go pear shaped I wouldn't have a backup to restore. If not, should I create a backup and how would I go about this?
Thank you very much
Luke
Luke, no protection against the virus. Is the same for the cleaning of the apps and most of the other third-party utilities. Maintain OSX and using good sense practical computer course and you will be fine. Watch where you click.
For backups Time Machine from Apple is better IMO. Get an external hard drive 2 to 3 times the size of your internal drive and let Time Machine is something. The first backup may take a while, but subsequent backups occur every hour in the background. you won't know what is going on. The end Pondini can be your guide for all time Machine http://pondini.org/TM/FAQ.html

Sleep and Hibernate works not properly
Hello
I have a laptop HP running Win7 64 bit which has developed a problem when you use power-saving features and ensures extended. I rarely stop or restart the system and very rarely use Hibernate, opting instead for simply use sleep function when I close the lid. Stop and restart both to perform as expected, but whenever I try to use the sleep function, either by closing the lid or via the options on the start menu, simply, the screen goes black and the laptop runs - the fan is on and the hard drive light flashes sometimes. I waited for about ten minutes, but nothing changes. Then, when I lift the lid to wake the system, nothing happens and I have to do a closed hard. The same thing happens with the Hibernate.I used the system restore already to try to resolve, by choosing a restore point, a few days before the recent updates or system changes, I did but the problem remains.
I also changed the settings in the power settings to try to solve the problem, but once again failed to do.
I turned it off Hibernation using start, run, powercfg-h off but once again, this has not fixed the problem. >
Any advice greatly appreciated.
