  I did now 2 installs fresh with the HP recovery discs and both windows update does not work. I tried different patches from microsoft that I found online in this regard and nothing works.

  I don't know if it's related, but said SP1 is installed, but when I look in the installed updates it isn't here. If I try to uninstall from a command promt it says is not installed and if I try to install it from the microsoft download it says it is installed.

  It makes me crazy. I was expecting it to work from a clean install, but it doesn't.

  Any help would be great.

  Welcome to the HP Support forum. Thank you for posting.

  If it says SP1 is included, it means it is included and comes with the system, so you can not unintall it - it is part of the system - built in. You will not see the updates installed because it's built, do not subsequently installed.

  It is a known problem that now when you perform a clean installation of Windows 7, the installation updates will be delayed. This is due because of many things including the fact that W7 is more priority Microsoft because of new OS on the juice of the horizon: like Windows 10. Some users have reported that after the new facility it may take hours of waiting until Windows 7 poster updates are available. But don't worry - they are not that critics and you shouldn't worry so much for them.

  I can offer a workaround is to:

  This update package, which combines updates dating all the way back to February 2011, is not be made available in Windows Update. If you install a Windows 7 system from scratch, you will need to go out of your way to download and install it. If you do not, Windows Update will download and install the updated way on day one by one, the slower, more tedious.

  You have now all the updates of Windows 7 since its initial release until may 2016

  After that, you try to install the new updates.

  I have discrepancies between "view update history" and "installed updates".  Updates do not match and there are a lot of differences.  I'll try and link to an extracted image so you can see the differences.
  I have a Gateway GM4574 with an AMD Live 64-bit processor, but am running Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) SP2,
  I found this problem when certain Office updates (KB2760411, KB2760583, & KB2760588) kept wanting to be installed over and over.  This problem is now resolved.

  When you click on the link and the page opens, look down the page and you'll see a thumbnail of the image.  Right-click on it and click View Original.  It looks better this way.  It is easier to read.

  Again, I didn't know you can see updates two of 2 different ways, but there are a lot of updates do not appear on the installed updates that appear on view update history.

  I'm worried about this because I don't know whether or not updates are really installed.

  History is not important, it's the installed updates that are important.

  At a certain stage, you can reset Windows Update, thus losing your history, or may have installed updates manually.

• ESW 520 8 ports - firmware update

  We have an ESW 520 8 ports currently on the 2.1.1.19 firmware version (version of boot 1.0.0.07, VID V01) - serial number CBT15100AN2

  The latest version of the firmware is 2.1.1.21, that we have downloaded and through the Maintenance, update the software, via HTTP, performed an upgrade to this version - upgrade appears to complete, will connect to see success but when we restart the switch it always shows as 2.1.1.19. Very strange!

  I'm spinning upwards a new print server into our VMWare / ESXi 5.5 environment.

  The answer is no... you can get what you want with the comments... clustering solution VMware solutions, as HA/FT can provide better availability of your virtual print server machine, but to do maintenance on the guest operating system, you will need to an other 'active' OS serving guest users, which is not the case of HA/FT.

  This only happens one or twice a year so I don't expect you have seen it anyway. You need to trigger an SR with Oracle to be added to an e-mail distribution list that sends your pod-specific information. It is an example of communication I received from [email protected].

• Radeon AMD in Pavilion dv7 notebook driver problem

  I have a pavilion dv7 notebook and for a few months, I had problems with my graphics driver.

  AMD does not support the graphics system from HP to address personalized and won't provide any drivers for it. As a general rule, HP does not provide "routine maintenance" updates and usually only releases updates to fix known problems. You could take the computer to a professional, however they will be able to do anything more than I suggested and maybe even not so much than that.

However, I do not use the 'Metro' Windows 8 features. My tablet is for that. There are a few features provided with Windows 8 "non-metropolitan" mode and I pretty much enjoy using 8.1 exclusively in mode "W7". I want to get out of dependence on Windows but appreciate having a Windows backup with the new unix environment.

  The BIOS has been F66 of Windows.  Update drivers through Windows via the HP support was simple. There was a problem with the Intel graphics before 2013-11-25, Version10.18.10.3325, updated 158,03 M always on the HP site. Graphical display would turn and the movement of the mouse was "sticky". An e-mail, I managed to come back from HP support that somewhere might suggest only there could be a problem with my system fan. Be sure to get updated 04/10/2014 of Intel 10.18.10.3907 now available via Windows update, which issue is resolved. Missing NVidia drivers are on the HP support site. I adapted my missing Bluetooth drivers to the preinstalled Ralink wireless driver.

  In the off topic about the Intel graphic display bug which results in putting on and off the screen (she came back! again), I guess its due to some incosistency between graphics and power features. Unfortunately, prevent the Windows driver updates prevents all updates driver that allows me to remove Windows Intel/use generic display make it impossible to solve other problems of driver (such as USB network emulator) and I had to disable the Intel graphics card so NVidia will not find his companion and I get just Windows base.   Situation was after a patchwork of maintenance update via PSU April 2015.

  During an inspection of Clusterware, we saw the level of different software fix of the crs softwarepatch crsctl query command

  and also a list of missing nodes and level patch via 'opatch lsinv' on our cluster.

  We now fix the problems:

  1. the different level of Patch by running the command followed on the node failed

  $GRID_HOME/crs/install/rootcrs.pl-patch

  2. the lsinv opatch lack of node and the correction level via

  I put the Oracle database in Linux CentOS 7 computer. I create use as oracle with a band called oinstall.

  I can connect to the Linux system using name - oracle, but I couldn't find this user when I open system 'users and groups '. Is that what this user (oracle) specific?

  I use Desktop Environment - Mate with package Mozo - fork of Gnome alacarte and using yumex as practical utility for the maintenance updates and other services of the operating system.

  You can source the oraenv file to configure the environment for you. See Oraenv - Oracle FAQ.

  I prefer to use the .bash_profile to explicitly set:

  ORACLE_BASE
  ORACLE_HOME

  Path (including the $ORACLE_HOME/bin)

  I also use rlwrap - must be manually create and install on Oracle's Linux (download the source and make a config, all makeand install). And then add aliases entries to my .bash_profile, for example:

  alias sqlplus = "' rlwrap $ORACLE_HOME/bin/sqlplus '"

  RMAN alias = "" rlwrap $ORACLE_HOME/bin/rman ""

  Note that to compile and generate rlwrap, a couple of RPMs of development must be installed via yum (using Yum Public Oracle filing) - such as readline lib dev and so on.
