I am new to android, and I was not able to create folders or albums or move photos from the camera roll to a folder or an album. The user guide has very little info. Y at - it an android tutorial liked somewhere? I also tried syncing to my computer and did not download the pictures on the camera to my computer. I guess it's more elemntary than the questions you normally deal, but I could use some advice. Thank you!

  • Creation of a photo gallery / portfolio for a customer to manage (CMS & Business Catalyst)

I was asked to create a website for a client, the client is a photographer and want a site to promote her nursery school photography business. She would like to be able to manage the site itself using the BC dashboard, upload pictures as and when necessary. I use Muse to create sites and have informed the customer that for any CMS they need hosting with Business Catalyst.

My question is to create a relatively unlimited photo gallery / portfolio. I understand a customer can download and edit the images on their site using the dashboard of BC, providing there is a slot available to do so. I believe that Business Catalyst has a module of Gallery of photo on their Web marketing package, it would be what I'm looking for? Otherwise there is no good solution workaround available for my client using only Muse?

In the future, the customer is looking for secure areas of the site and also a control system online, but right now it's a pretty simple promotional site with a good photo gallery.

I posted a similar question last week, someone very kindly suggested Smugmug, I looked into a separate (including Smugmug) solution but it is not appropriate in this case and I would stick to the Muse, BC and Adobe.

    Hello

Yes, you can use the photo gallery module, where your customer would be able to download new images of the backend site and update the module. There are also other settings they can use for image display with photo gallery.

For future preferences, your customer can configure the secure areas, online shop site admin etc.

"Why I can't choose the pictures to import? ."

Because Windows detects your newest pictures and doesn't matter the duplicate versions of the old photos that you've already copied to your computer, it is now easy to import your photos into the folder of photos in a single step. In addition, we recommend that you consult your pictures in Photo Gallery, where large previews make it easy to decide which newly imported imported pictures to delete from your computer. »

Windows detects your images and your most recent videos and is not a duplicate of the old photos or video versions that you have already copied to your computer, so you can import your pictures and videos in a single step. • Error unknown 0x88982F50 when you try to change the properties of a JPEG file in the Windows Photo Gallery

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack1 and use Windows Photo Gallery to managemy photos. I like the fact that I can integrate tags and ratings in JPEG files.

I just noticed though, that the tag is no longer to be stored in the JPEG file. I know because when I saw the properties of the file tag information I have in the Windows Photo Gallery is not present. If I try to change the properties directly, I get an error message stating:

An unexpected error prevented the operation. Make a note of this error code, which might be useful if you get additional help to resolve this problem: 0x88982F50 error: No. Error Description available.

    I checked the file isn't read-only etc.

I searched Microsoft.com for this error and have found no help. I searched the internet and have seen many forums to raise this issue, but I can't find a solution.

Note that when I try to fix an image in Windows (eye of harvest/red etc.) Photo Gallery, I also get an error that says I can't save the changes.

For me, it looks like a component is faulty or missing, but how is it resolved?

  • Image reverses from positive to negative when printing from Windows Photo Gallery

When I try to print directly from the photo gallery in the overview page positive image flashes until shortly before the reversal to the negative and I see nothing in the preferences of the printer (Canon iP4500) to remedy this.

I have no problem with the same images when printing in Photoshop.

    Hi bigfritz,

Welcome to the Microsoft answers community site.

Different types of devices tend to possess the capabilities and features of different color. Displays, for example, cannot show the same color scheme that can reproduce a printer. It is because of the fundamentally different processes that each device used to produce color content. Scanners and cameras have different color characteristics. Even different programs sometimes interpret and process colors differently. Without a consistent color management system, the same image can look different on each of these devices. The appearance of the content of the color depends also on the viewing conditions (for example, ambient lighting). This is because the human eye adapts differently to different conditions, even when you view the same image.

Thus, the color management manages relationships within color content so that an acceptable appearance can be achieved on different devices with different color and in conditions of display capabilities. This requires color management systems to control the relationship between the characteristics of the device and viewing conditions to produce acceptable results.

Color profiles are usually added automatically during the installation of new devices. Color profiles can also be added by color management tools, such as devices of calibration for the monitors. As a result, it is likely that there are already profiles for your devices.

However, if you need to install a new profile, follow these steps:

1: open management the colors by clicking on the Start button, clicking Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then clicking color management.
2: click on the devices tab.
3: in the list of devices, select the color device that you want to associate with one or more color profiles.
4: select the use my settings for this device check box, and then click Add.
5: you should see a Source to sRGB space. In the print profile you must now select the barrel profile that fits the study. You should see these choices for Canon paper.

    Canon IP4500 series GL2
    Canon IP4500 series GL3
    Canon IP4500 series MP2
    Canon IP4500 series PR1
    Canon IP4500 series PR2
    Canon IP4500 series PR3
    Canon IP4500 series SP2
    Canon IP4500 series SP3

6: these correspond to specific types of paper Canon - PR > GL, Pro Photo paper > iced, MP > Matte
7: then go in / intensity of the color and choose the manual Option. Click on Set and in respect of the Correction colors choose None.

  • Windows Live Photo Gallery does not use default printer

When I print from Windows Live Photo Gallery it always by the incorrect printer default.  By default, it uses the fax printer.  All other characters to the right printer progames be default.  And under priners Control Panel, it shows the green check mark on the printer default right.  If I change to a photo printer, it prints very well.  But then the next image always defaults to the fax printer.  I use Vista 32 bit.  The version of Windows Live Photo Gallery is 14.0.8064.206.  The printer is a HP C7180.  And I have the latest version of the driver.

Is there a way to get Windows Live Photo Gallery to use the default printer? Thanks for your help. Harry Karr

I think that the part Ne03 refers to a network or shared printer that is connected to your machine.  For what it's worth, I have this entry in my registry.

HP Photosmart C4380 series, winspool, Ne02: so your entry (to me) seems pretty good.

Have you clicked on your HP printer and select the option "Run As Administrator" / Properties / Security and checked permissions, such that manage printers, records management, to ensure that everything is all right in there?

I'm still thinking possible "Bug", but are happy to be contradicted.

My wife and I just bought a new computer with an operating system Windows vista Home premium.   We share this computer and we each have our own user account.  I imported photos from our digital camera in windows photo gallery and I can access and work with them, but my wife can't.  They do not appear on windows Photo Gallery program.  Our last computer had windows XP and we could both access our photos.

  • Photo Gallery can't open photo

Hi, I have a problem just downloading a photo on my digital camera. When I plug my camera into my computer, the thumbnail for that one particular photo does not load, and when I try to view the picture I get the "Photo Gallery can't open this photo or video. This file format is not supported, or you do not have the latest updates for Windows Gallery"error. I tried the option 'Open with', and it will always open in Paint, Word, Picture Manager, etc..

I tried on several PC and facing the same problem.

However, the photos can be viewed on the display of the camera without problem. Also, all my other photos load very well.

    Can anyone help with this?

It is possible that the picture uploaded in question is
corrupted... sometimes this can happen when the camera
the batteries are low... after a long photo taking session
    for example.

The following steps should help you re - download a new
    copy of your photo.

If you connect the device to your PC via a USB cable, turn
on the camera... then go to... Start / computer... it should be
    listed as a drive letter...

If_yes_right click on the drive letter and select... Explorer or
Open... This should display the directory of the memory card.

You can copy and paste or drag and drop the files from there to a
    folder on your hard drive.

In addition, if you have an internal or external media player... you
could remove the memory card from the camera and insert it
appropriate in the slot on the media player.

When the card is inserted... If you go to... Start / computer...
the card reader should listed as one or more removable disks.

    Removable (e :)) drive
    Removable disk (e :))
    Removable drive (g)

If_Yes_you can download photos from there. Left click
the drive letter that corresponds to the memory card must
display the directory of the card and you can copy and paste or
Drag and drop the photo/s of your choice in a folder on your hard drive
    drive.

Just a picture selected (highlighted) right click and choose... Copy...
then navigate to the folder you want it saved in and right click the
    folder and choose Paste.

If the steps above do not give a visible photo is apparently
altered in the camera. There are the software
to recover corrupted photos but they can be expensive.

A Google search for ' recover corrupted JPEG "may be useful to
