  For the backup and the multiplexing of newspaper, I intend to use the following method to save the data file, online newspapers, archive redo logs and control files (I deliberately put back on two different file system, i.e., one on the raw disk (file system managed by Oracle) and the other as cooks it filesystem ext3 (System)) :

  1, put disc in shape like the raw disk for FRA (for data files, online newspapers, archived redo logs and control files)

  Disc 2 to the regular file system format, that is, the ext3 file system (for the multiplexing of online newspapers, archived redo logs and control files).

  Naturally, in the case that the data files is crushed, the files on the FRA can be used to perform the recovery (both the FRA and ASM are in the same file system and managed by Oracle).

  Now, suppose the data files and files in the FRA get crashed.  I will need to rely on disc 2 (as mentioned above) and the files saved on the outside to make full recovery.  This seems feasible too.

  But I have a question:

  ASM uses the Oracle managed file system, while the files on my disk 2 are in the cooked filesystem (ext3 file system).  Will this be a problem in the future recovery (by RMAN) database?

  Not sure I fully understand your question, but as Hemant says it is quite possible to run a database on a mixture of ASM file systems.  RMAN will all support him, and he knows where to restore.  You just make sure that you have backups, backups.  And at some point, they must be separated by more than a Council of Ministers in the computer room.  My work of rman backup the database on the disk on the SAN mounted on the db server.  But immediately after the completion of the rman backup, I invoke a step which copy backups rman in two other systems, one in the local data center and the other at a remote site in another part of the city.  So even if the building Burns (or the other building) my backups survive.  If I lived in areas exposed to hurricanes, I would that this remote in a different city, several miles inland.  If I lived in an area of earthquake, I would that this remote in a different city, several miles from the same fault line.

  I recently installed the evaluation version of LabVIEW and I try to communicate with a dynamometer of Mark-10 series 5. The problem, however, is that MAX doesn't detect the device or any other instrument. It's not even a tree device and Interface.

  I am running Windows 7 and Mark-10 drivers are installed (and is detected by the device as a USB Device Manager).

  Someone has an idea of what could be the problem?

  And how are you trying to communicate with the hardware, GPIB, serial, usb, TCP/IP,...? Did you install NI-VISA is there and equipment driver provided by the manufacturer?

  I come from a programming background, and there is an aspect of ODI that confuses me.
  
  When I do the work of development ODI, I reverse usually engineer planning of Hyperion, Hyperion Essbase and some Oracle views which are also in development. I build interfaces, test them and make sure that everything is working well.
  
  Now when it comes to moving these interfaces in production, for me, feeling sense this Dermatology the same interface should be hitting views ORacle, Hyperion/Essbase planning on Production servers. So, my question is so how do I do this.
  If I have to reverse engineer still around: the models of planning and essbase in Production and re - build interfaces, its some duplication and a waste of time. I looked in the user guide and Administrator's guide, but none of them were useful.

  You're not far off where you want to get. If the structures in DEV and PROD are identical, so you don't have to worry about creating templates and interfaces in PROD. ODI runs it through its architecture in layers of the logical and physical diagrams that are related through contexts.

  Here are some tips...

  In the topology Manager:
  -Create your PROD servers and physical diagrams
  -If your master repository for PROD is on one server other than for DEV, then create logical patterns with the same names you have in DEV
  -Create a context of PROD and assign each logic diagram of the physical schema matching
  -Set up your repository work as a repository of execution PROD (there is an option when you create the repository
  (It is very important that the names are the same in PROD and DEV, CODES called are what master and repositories working links)

  In DEV Designer:
  -Produce scenarios of integration process to migrate
  -Export to XML scenarios

  By exploiting PROD (PROD Designer is not available because it is a repository of execution that is read only - with the exception of the variables):
  -Import scenarios
  -Launch the scenarios to test the whole works.

  There is a work around:

  Export your IE Favorites to an HTML file, and then import it into Firefox. If you have questions more do not hesitate to ask.

  1. import a picture in iPhoto 9.6.1 in an existing project in very small. Everything seems OK, picture looks that it imported, 4S etc but in fact there nothing there except a black screen, long 4 seconds. I tried all the suggestions in a dozen of discussions but nothing works.

  2 - by sliding the cursor (pointer) on clips in the project or the event of the flip backwards and return to normal once the cursor is removed. Clips of transfer of events to the project smoothly and are right side up.

  Are you running at El Capitan?   He does not play well with versions of iMovie earlier than version 10.

  I am trying to add a raw TCP VISA OR max socket.  When I right click on "Devices and Interfaces", the line is highlighted and any drop-down list appears, much like a left click.  However, when I right click on 'Software', the drop-down list appears.  I have all the software AND up-to-date. Is there additional software, that I should add (I NI-VISA 5.4 as well as the watering duration) visa?

  I think I know what is happening.  It seems that you have just the duration of OR-installed VISA, but not the NI-VISA full supports, which includes additional support of MAX configuration.

  With the new version of MAX 5.5, devices will appear with the help of configuration limited when you have only the version of the installed driver running as opposed to in the past when nothing arise.
