Management of access to print/save

We have several applications that open documents in Adobe.  Some users must be able to print these documents, other users do not have the ability to print.  We would like to restrict the ability to save/print/send these documents. We do not take this is a global setting, unless it is the only option.  We are looking for the ability to group A to print and Group B does not print.  What is an option?  Otherwise, what is the option to disable printing on a global scale?  We treat the HIPAA data.

Thank you

John

Hi johnbastonlexky,

I'm sorry, it is not possible to achieve this goal.

You can implement the restriction on printing, however it is specific not specific to the request file.

Each of the centuries can save PDF file, however you can restrict the user editing form, but once again, it will be a specific feature of the file.

Kind regards

Nicos

Is there a way to 'batch' record as very? We have a customer who regularly sends files without all the embedded fonts. "Save as Postscript is the longest part of the process, then I would be able to automate it.  Any ideas?

This is the worst absolute way to embed fonts for PostScript through deletes dynamic transparency, color management, bookmarks, hyperlinks, etc. Yucck!  You are in many ways to ruin the files, do not clean them.

Acrobat Preflight has a correction for embedding fonts. Takes only a few seconds per file PDF. And if you have a bunch of these files, you can create an action to do this.

Print > save as PDF - use an excerpt (part of Mac OS X), so Adobe Reader should have no effect on that at all.

As for the error "file corrupted", simply uninstall the Reader app will not affect it. Follow these steps:

    Mac/HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins

Trash the files AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin

    Mac HD/Applications

    Trash the application Adobe Reader

    [user] / Library/Preferences

    Trash the com.adobe.Reader.plist file

To access the [user] / Library, hold down the 'Option' and click on 'Go' in the FInder menu.

    Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe

    Trash the drive (full record)

    Empty the trash.

Download the installer FULL here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Quit your browser, and then reinstall the drive.

Run it from the Applications folder and agree to the license agreement.

You should have no problem with Safari PDF files download.

Unfortunately, ANY PDF file that says it is damaged.... You will need their trash.

How to access the tab 'Save all' when I close several jpeg files that have been adjusted with the "color adjust tool? He is currently making me close and save one at a time.  I've just upgraded to El Capitan.  Thanks for any help :)

I assume that you use the application overview.

I can't find an answer to back up everything, but a workaround could be while the file menu options are visible, press the option key

and the point of the window will become close, if you click on that dialogue will ask you if you want to restore the changes or save

pressing Save will close the image with the changes and then move to the next image and so on.

  • Cannot access the printer software after installing new ink cartridge

I installed new ink cartridges. It prints well but I can't access the printer on the computer action tab. I can't check ink levels, align the pages or check on maintenance. When I click on the folder of the printer it opens but it says it's searching for items. The printer of action file is not there. Anyone know what could cause this? I can't open the Toolbox of the product. What I have to reinstall the printer software, or is there something else I can do to fix this. I have windows 7 and a 3000 deskjet printer. Thank you.

    Harold R. Rodgard

    Hello Harold,.

The question most likley do not have much to do with the replacement of the ink cartridge.

Lately, HP has released a new software, due to the latest MS updates, you must update the software to get all the features.

Go to start > programs > HP > select your printer folder and follow uninstall them.

Now, download and install the new version of the software from here:

I would check with the manual that came with your printer.

  • Google Chrome Print - Save as PDF Glitch

    Hello

Since all July 2015, I noticed all the PDF I printed on Google Chrome the button print and selecting Save as PDF are unfathomable on my PC.

PDF documents I look just fine, but if you place the cursor on a line of text, then click on copy and past the text Google search or in a word doc then all I get is square box symbols and text.

I tried this on all 3 of my PC, Adobe running a Pro X and others running the standard version and the same failure is on the whole using Google Chrome.

Can the community do me a favor and see if I'm doing something wrong or if Google is curropting these files.

    Try with this Article http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/34956022

Print, save to PDF and once registered, copy a section of text and then paste you see if its readable.

In Firefox, print, save as PDF function works very well and you can copy and paste the text from the PDF file.

    Thanks for your help

You should ask your question in a forum on Google Chrome. These forums are on Adobe software.

  • Access cannot print settings

Hello.  Whenever I have save a set of print settings to print, that I can no longer access the settings to print again.  I searched the forum and found this answer. It works, but then the problem is the next time I go to print.  It's rather tedious reset all my preferences each time I want to print a document.

Mac 10.6.8. I have the latest version of CS5 fully updated. Printing on an Epson 4800.

    Help appreciated.

What I got from another thread, is to launch PS and now a certain combination of keys (I think that it is shift + alt + cmd), and it will reset your preferences.

    It worked like a charm.

gabevf has got the right answer! I tried and everything works fine now!

The combination is shift + alt + cmd and then double-click the Photoshop application icon.

    Welcome!

On another forum, Jeff Schewe has helped me with that. Apparently the bug is related to the deafult printers. If I remember correctly, this problem started when I deleted the printer which has been my printer by default (as a new printer has been installed). I leave OS - X the value of the last printer used for the default printer.  Here's the "Workaround" I need to go by to avoid this problem:

I need to set a default printer and:

b change the default printer (in my case a little all-in-one office)

    (b) define Photoshop manages colors

    (c) open and print settings save

    (d) change printer manages colors

    e implement the Epson 4800

    (f) press print settings and go from there

  • How can I download all my emails to my account so that I can access and print my emails in offline mode?

Sometimes the work email server fails. There are a lot of problems in the it Department at work and I'm afraid I might lose all my emails. Can I download all my emails so that in the event of a failure of server to work or even if IT guys delete my account by mistake, I would still be able to access my emails and if I want to print them?

    Thank you

One way to do it is to put in place a filter as:

    manual execution
    contains @
    copy to local/my_backup records

BUT run it that once it will copy everything each time you run it.

You can also mark the ones that you want to save, right click and copy...

You might have a backup add-on like importExporttools. at the request of make backups every day of your e-mail folders (only those changed)

  • Need to know where in the system folder of Windows Vista, I can access the printer for a shared printer drivers .inf files

I have a printer that is attached to my system down Dell Windows XP, I want to access the floor running Windows Vista from my Sony system.  I managed networked the printer so I can see it in my Sony Windows Vista network folder.  However, when I try to access it, it gives me the following error msg:

The server to the printer 'HP Photosmart 1215 series' doesn't have the installed printer driver.  If you want to find the right driver, click OK

Otherwise, click Cancel and contact your network administrator or the original equipment for the printer driver manuafacturer.

I advanced and clicked on "OK". and the system brings up a box for me to find the correct INF file to load.  I went ahead and tried the DRIVERS/WINDOWS/INF and a few other places, but has failed to find (any) of printer drivers

Can someone tell me where I can get these?

Download the appropriate driver from the printer manufacturer's web site.  If it contains a Setup program, run the program and when it asks you to specify the printer installation, create a local printer whose name is \\xpsystem\printer where 'xpsystem' is the charing system printer and "printer" is the name of the share.  This should create the printer.

You can also expand the downloaded driver and try to add the printer as you did before, direct the installation to the folder containing the driver that you downloaded.

  • Timed Access - won't save the changes of time

I am using access delayed for several years.  It worked great until today.  When I try to change the time settings, it seems to work.  For example, I got our xbox set to turn off at 11:30.  I changed it at 23:31.  I hit 'Fact' several times until you are prompted to update.  It seemed to work - I even went back to check.  But then less than a minute later she came back both previous.  I use an AirPort Extreme and just updated to 7.7.7.  I also expanded the network by using an Airport Express, which has the same parameters of time on it.  I tried to time changes using AirPort Utility on my iPhone and on my Windows PC.

Two options that have both worked for me:

    1) return to 7.7.3 firmware

    (2) keep installed 7.7.7 and delete all the access settings timed, updated to save installation and let AirPort Extreme will restart. Then enter the settings again.

Can't tell if it will work for you, however.  Good luck if you want to try it. Keep the Express turned off until you have AirPort Extreme up and running properly. Then, turn on the Express.
