Many questions about Wireless - A30

I was wondering if someone can help me. I have an A30 (512/2.8) and I am due to get broadband installed and wanted to have a wireless connection. I am aware that the series of satellites have a Wifi feature, but I'm a little uncertain about how to establish the wireless connection. Do I need a card network in addition to the router or just the wireless feature will be enough?

In addition, my LED does not illuminate when I flip my switch wireless, I assume that the light comes on only when it is connected to another device and won't come alone?

Thank you.

Hello

As said Sylvain, you can use a card PCMCIA wireless network or WLan USB stick.
Will you please google a little and I m you will find a suitable solution.

Good bye

  • Many questions about the HP 50 g

I just ordered a HP 50 g graphic calculator! I have a few questions about this so hang on tight! What is the USB connector on the calculator? Mini-USB, micro USB, or is it a connector owner, "custom". Then, it would be possible to connect a keyboard to the HP 50 g by using the USB Port? Is there a program that would make this possible? (I doubt it would work if you plug it..) I have a Mini-USB to female USB 2.0 connector. So I could just plug the keyboard right, provided that the port on the calculator is a Mini-USB Port. If this is not so that I could use my female to female USB adaptor to connect the keyboard.

  • Various Questions about wireless access controller

Help me please with these fundamental questions about the role of the access (AC) wireless controller.

Assume that the access controller and Access Point are connected via IP:

-Wireless frames sent to AP to acre; include the original MAC header (on the way to wireless access)?  If Yes, is there a Cisco AC gets to fill the WLAN and LAN it is plugged (which means that it outputs as ethernet frames as if they were issued by Mobile Stations).

-Is the AC necessarily the default gateway for mobile stations? I guess not. But it is possible the default gateway?

The Cisco AC can function as a DHCP relay?

The AP creates a tunnel to the controller. All IP traffic from the AP to the controller will address the AP source and dest IP to the interface of the Manager of the AP on the controller. The wireless client traffic is encapsulated inside this tunnel. When it hits the controller the CAPWAP is removed leaving the customer's original package to be sent to the local network through the controller.

The controller should not be the default gateway for wireless clients because it is not a router. Think of it as a device that converted into wired wireless traffic.

Normally, the controller acts as a proxy DHCP. Once the customer has joined a WLAN, the controller sends the DHCP packets to the DHCP server on behalf of clients such as the IP address of assistance normally configured on the router for cable customers. You can also configure the controller to act as a DHCP server for wireless clients.

  • HP a6700f - a question about wireless

My tech savyness is about 9 years old so I don't know that rather this computer has wifi or if it's just a regular wireless adapter that it a. I looked inside and it says G79G on a long order paper after that. The information on this site page says there's a wireless 802.11 adapter. I think it's wifi, right? So I searched in google and found a few pages we're talking about wifi and wireless. Is the adapter wireless provided with this computer, wifi by chance? I need to know because next week I go on vacation at redington beach Florida for a condo that has wifi. And I won't be disconnected from my online friends that I talk to every night. I'd hate to have to rent a laptop if my own computer can connect. At home, it connects to my router netgear very well. It look right. I was happy with this computer since the day I got it. I'd feel strange using a rental.

You shouldn't have a problem with the help of your adapter on your PC wireless to connect to another hub wireless "wifi" at least safety becomes an issue.  You may need a password to sign on the wireless hub.

  • Question about Satellite A30-power adapter

    Hello

I own a laptop Satellite A30 and my charger just died. I have looked on the internet to buy a new one, but can not find the same model of the same brand (delta ADP-90FB REV electronics. (E) and having trouble finding something on the site Web of Toshiba.
I found some Chargers compatible with laptops Satellite A30 on another site, but they are quite expensive (about £55). Another less expensive option?

    Thank you

    Thomas

    Hello

Believe me: it s better to use than stuff unnamed original equipment. On the one hand, you win money and if your machine is broken due to a power adapter that gives your machine
    a wrong voltage or whatever.

I had a great experience with my tecra 8100 a few years ago:

My old AC was broken, so I bought one in a store, which has been declared as "corresponds to 100% and blablabla".

    Cost: $ 37

After a while my machine freezes sometimes and for a day-> no boot.
Then I gave my machine to fix after they have made their diagnosis, they asked, what sort of AC, I used. Heh? They explained to me, I used the AC adapter was not a constant voltage,
If some capacitors smd-says 'goodbye '.

You can save money, but give you him another side, believe me.

    Welcome them

  • Usually the questions about wireless

I have a Toshiba laptop, and it has wireless lan card. He pops up she found a connection, and then it says to connect but when I connect and the realization of the connection, it appears and asks for a network key?

    What is c?
It also comes with blue tooth.
    Any help on this please!

    Hi lucodunlami

Looks like you are a beginner and don't know anything about the Wlan technology or login.
I think that you have activated the Wlan antenna and the laptop looked for available wireless networks.

The operating system supports an option to connect to a WLan that is available near the laptop.
For most wireless LANs are secure and encrypted. If you n t know the encryption key (password) you can not connect to the Wlan key.

  • Edge of 530 slow wake up and question about wireless relatively to sleep

    Hi, I have a 530 advantage, I got it 2 weeks ago, running on windows 7 64.

I found that on its quite slow to wake up default settings, I made a change that has been to the wireless card, I checked the allow my system to disable wireless to save energy (so it stays on). This seems to have made an immediate difference and the laptop wakes up now a lot faster.

The problem now is to have this option checked, when my laptop wakes the without wireless is disabled when he wakes up and will not turn back, I have to turn it on manually. If I leave the power save option checked for the wireless card, that it automatically connect when my laptop wakes.

Seems a little odd I thought uncheck the option to allow my laptop turn wireless off means he must just stay on, but he seems to have the opposite effect.

Can someone advise? everything I wanted, it was for my laptop to wake you up more quickly and the wireless is turned on or auto connect after he wakes up.

    Thank you

    James

I found myself the answer to this question, I found that I had to uncheck the same box in the bluetooth device, it does not work exactly as I wanted to and the wifi connection is more lost once I wake up my laptop

  • Question about wireless connection

I recently bought a laptop and I would like to try the version for this laptop's wireless, but the book information tells me to press the switch on the right to turn on the system. Looks like it is blocked?
    Any suggestions to fix this?

In my opinion if there is no wireless switch there is no ability to integrate into the wireless card because there is no antenna. As said Miro PCMCIA wireless card is the best solution.

  • A few questions about FileConnection/JSR 75

[I posted these issues some time ago, but got no response]

I am writing an application that targets the 4.2.1 and upward. After reading everything I can find (api docs, forum, kb, guides, web search), I still have many questions about the BlackBerry file system:

    1. Are store / and SDCard / internal name of the memory and the SD card root on all BlackBerry devices?
    2. JSR 75 leaves open the question of whether an application sees the virtual roots that are private to itself or if all applications share the same roots. How does on BBs? I have seen many examples where the path name starts by "/ store/home/user/app_name /" or "/ SDCard/BlackBerry/app_name / '. Is this necessary, or can my request simply use "/ store /" or "/SDCard/" and add the file name? If the former, are there best practices documented anywhere to manage collisions between app names?
    3. If the files are visible in many applications, there are layers of security available to protect data (I think something similar to how a PersistentObject can be encapsulated in an object ControlledAccess using the PersistentStore) or do make us our own?
    4. I read on this forum somewhere that store / is not available when a device is connected via USB and mass storage is active. Is this and other information like this documented somewhere?
    5. May restrict the COMPUTER strategies how an application uses FileConnection, particularly to the store / and SDCard /? If so, is there any guidance on common restrictions that developers should know when you write applications for general use?
    6. What restrictions are there on the names of files (allowed characters, length, etc.)?

Any guidance or pointers will be appreciated!

    Hi Ted,

I'm not sure on your remaining questions, but I'll try to answer as best I can:

    1. did not have different names on the devices until today.

    2. you have no problem on SD card and you are allowed to save files anywhere it. Not quite sure

shop around, but you should be able to save files on the file system visible and own created folders. There will be

some folders inaccessible devices that require internal processing (installed Te of applications etc..).

    3. you can open files as readonly etc. but elsethere it is not the layers of security installed. If you have data

issues of security, you must save this Te using the RuntimeStore class!

    4. I don't know, but it's a fact. But for this purpose, you can detect the toggling of mass storage

    programmatically.

    5 see point No. 3

6 see restrictions as specified in JSR 75.

    Kind regards

    Jochen

    Hello

I am about to order a Satellite P300 - 18 M and have just a few questions about this:

(Although these may apply for other similar Satellite/Equium P300.)

Is the touchpad made by / to use the Alps or Synaptics driver?

It has the Wireless N network card, is the map made by Intel or Realtec?

And also, someone has experience with face recognition software to connect?

If so, does it take a lot of time to initalise?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jack

    Hello

The P300 - 18M belongs to the PSPCCE series.
It uses the two touchpad drivers. Synaptics & Alps Electric
There is an Intel 802.11agn minicards WLan installed

The face recognition is a nice tool but local to be illuminated and you must take your face the right of the post sometimes it of not very easy

  • A few questions about the difference between the Satellite P70, L70, S70

    Hello, I have a lot of questions about the P70, L70, S70 series that come with a 1920 x 1080 panel.

    (1) what are the differences between the L70 and S70 series? With the exception of the RAM and HARD drive capacity, books seem pretty identical.

    (2) P70, L70, S70 doesn't support a 2nd HARD drive or it's just the P70 series that support?

    (3) all the three (P70, L70, S70 series) come with the same TFT panels?

    (4) of the above series, which supports mSata?

    (5) all the model of each series are delivered with support from mSata? For example, it could be that L70 - a - 13 m supports mSata is not the case of the L70-a-146?

    (6) all the foregoing, are delivered with a S - ATA II or III S - ATA interface?

    (7) who is the best of these series listed? I'm trying to understand what makes the big difference of S70 to P70 except for the envelope for example.

    Thank you in advance.

    > (1) what are the differences between the series L70 and S70? With the exception of the RAM and HARD drive capacity, books seem pretty identical.

What models Sat L70 and S70 do you mean exactly? There are different L70-xxx-xxx and S70 models on the market that supports different hardware specifications.

    (> S70 2) P70, L70, support a 2nd drive HARD or is - it just the series P70 that support?
As you can see in this [Sam P70 HDD replacement document, | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/CRU3903II0000R01.htm] the P70 series supports the 2nd drive Bay HARD, BUT even if there is a 2nd HARD drive Bay, this does not mean that you can use the 2nd HARD drive. In the case where the 2nd HARD drive Bay are equipped with HARD drive connector, you can use the 2nd HARD drive

I also found the [Sam L70/S70 HDD replacement | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/CRU3703HG0000R01.htm] the document on the Toshiba page and there I see this 2nd HARD drive Bay is not available

(> 3) all three (P70, L70, S70 series) come with the same TFT panels?
See point 1). Different P70, L70, S70 models were equipped with different material parts.

(> 4) of the series above, which takes in charge mSata?
As far as I know that some P70 models are equipped with an mSATA SSD of 256 GB.

(> 5) do all the model of each series are delivered with support mSata? For example, it could be that L70 - a - 13 m supports mSata is not the case of the L70-a-146?
See point 4) not all models supports the same hardware specifications

(> 6) all of the above, come with a S - ATA II or III S - ATA interface?
I don t think that SATA III is supported. I guess it would be SATA II

(> 7) which is the best of these series listed? I'm trying to understand what makes the big difference of S70 to P70 except for the envelope for example.
Not easy to answer because there are too many models released in Europea.
And not all models are available in each country. So I guess you will have to look for the models that have been released in your country.

  • Satellite M30: Questions about the battery, SD, energy-saving card reader

    1. After looking through the forums, it seems that my problem is not uncommon: my Toshiba Satellite M30 seems to have a life of the battery for about 10 minutes. Power not connected to the adapter, Windows detects 100%... 99%... Then 3%. Throughout the life of the battery is about 10 minutes, and I don't know why. Does anyone know? (Info from BG: laptop about 2 years, not too used)

    2. How will I know exactly WHAT model of Toshiba Satellite M30 I? (There is a code after the M30-part - I need this to find out what batteries I need to buy to replace)

    3. What is the nearest Service Center, I can talk to the United Kingdom with regard to my battery problem? From Toshiba Web site lists 20 companies different with Toshiba in them to the United Kingdom, and I have no idea which we touch!

    4. my SD card reader is a bit faulty. To put a SD card, no message appears to recognize the card - the laptop just doesn't recognize at all, and I do not see "SD card" or equivalent in "My Computer". However, if I put an SD card, and then restart the computer, I can see the SD card, it simply does not update while the computer is on, when I restart - cures for this?

    5. Finally, can I download the software of management of TOSHIBA POWER SAVER? I downloaded from this site but right now the only option when I open the TOSHIBA CONSOLE is 'Mouse' - there is no standby power options or network options or anything.

Thanks in advance, sorry there are so many questions and they are so different!

    Cheerio,
    John

    Hello

    1) looks like a dead battery. It s not unusual that the battery will discharge performance after about 2 years. As far as I remember, you can load and unload the battery for about 500 times. After this period, the lifetime battery decreases faster. The same symptom occurs for example with a cell phone battery. I think you should ask the new battery Toshiba service partner. PS: The guarantee covers the battery for about a year.

    (2) it's very easy at the bottom of the unit, you will find a label with the serial number and the name of detailed specifications.

    (3) visit this site:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?PF=true
You will find the database with ASP together all over the world. These guys are responsible for replacements, repairs, etc.

    (4) number of SD card is very strange. On my Satellite SD card window opens if I insert the SD card. You can try to remove the SD card from the Device Manager reader and after that new reboot, the OS should has new charge card CD driver. Eventually, it helps.

    (5) I don't know what you mean exactly but on the Toshiba driver page, you will find the tool power Toshiba compatible and taken in charge. If you have downloaded from the area Sat M30 driver so I think you can use it only on this laptop.

    take easy B-)
