Mask density?

I have problems finding the mask density and feathering.  I have a dynamic object with a mask.  When I double-click the mask, need me in the new area of selection mask.  I used to double click on the mask and was able to change the density.  Can someone tell me where it is now?  Thank you!

Hello

Is there a way to change the mask of density without window - properties to choose? This is much too long and requires another Panel to open. I used to be able to double-click the mask and the sliders of density available immediately. Now double click brings up the new select and mask tool, which is not what I want and is not density sliders.

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, go to photoshop preferences (Edit) > tools and uncheck Select lance Double click on layer mask and mask Workspace, then double-click on a layer mask will bring up the Panel properties instead.

  • Opacity of layer/density mask

I just update Photoshop CC and may not know how to change the opacity or the density of the layer mask after I create the mask. I used to create the mask layer 100%, and then change the density in the properties of the layer mask Panel. This option is no longer available... at least as far as I can see. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Select the layer mask, then go to the window-> properties

  • I can lower the opacity of the mask?

I am trying to find a way to reduce the opacity of the mask. I think that I would go to the mask in the layers palette, lower the opacity here. But that lowers the opacity of the layer, not the mask. I tried to find an answer online, but all the get is how to layer masks.

Is it possible to adjust the opacity of a layer mask? Thank you!

Right click on the layer mask and select mask options

    in the properties panel:

increase or decrease the density slider

  • Display problem in 16-bit mode of layer mask

With the new version of CC 2015 of Photoshop, I came across a weird problem in layer mask mixture. Here is an example, what it looks like:

layer blending bug - print screen.jpg

I opened a raw file (.dng) from Lightroom (16 bit, ProPhoto), created a black layer mask and began to paint with pure white. As you can see, the transparency model in the background is always visible, even if the density of the mask is 100% and the white brush was normal and opacity and flow were both 100%. The white layer mask doesn't seem to be completely opaque.

But it's more weird. Then, I put two rectangles in the image. This is the checkerboard disappear, but the color of the rectangles has no effect on the image on the top. So the white layer mask is opaque and not fully opaque at the same time!

I then saved the image in jpeg format and the picture looked like it should be there:

    layer blending bug.jpg

Apparently, the question has something to do with rendering on screen, not the content of the actual image. I also noticed, that changing the picture mode to 16 bits to 8 bits makes the disappearance of the problem. But as I also pay for the 16-bit mode, I would use it...

Everyone found this and you are able to reproduce this behavior? Or am I missing some setting somewhere? Can anyone suggest a solution, or should I just wait patiently as the bug fix?

Layer masks and alpha channels are all 8 bits, regardless of the number of image bits.

  • The adjustment brush does not work.  I choose and the pin code will appear on the image, but when I paint with it, nothing happens.  Even the mask won't show too much.

I have Lr 5.7, the adjustment brush has stopped working.  I upgraded to Lr 6 and still an adjustment brush does not work on both versions (running on the same PC)

I have antivirus programs and malware which have rubbed my machine, no problem.

This is the first problem I encountered.  Seems to have worked very well last week, then all of a sudden this function is toast.

    Help.

Press O to display the overlay that shows the painted mask.

Make sure that the density and the flow is not set to 0.

  • Opacity of the layer mask Photoshop in AE

I have a series of PSD files each with a layer mask with a default opacity of 100%. PS, I change the 'density' of the layer of about 15% in order to achieve the desired result. Either way, the layer mask is also an inactive Alpha channel.

My question is that when I include the series of the PSD AE as-is, the layer mask is available as a black. It doesn't seem to be a way adjust the density of the mask as in Photoshop. I tried to use an alpha channel and track matte, but no luck. The main PSD file has the default active layer apparently mask with no way to change it.

Maybe I'll have to put in place an action on PSD files?

    Thank you.

AE is not layer masks as separate channels, it uses only the calculated pixel opacity. Simply, you cannot use this method. Rasterize your stuff to separate the layers.

  • Layer mask works not properly on CS5

    Hello world

I had this problem for a few days and still have not found a solution.

Here's what happens: my layer mask has suddenly stopped working properly. Even if all properties are set to the right, the result of mask is sort of bland bland of the thing.

No one knows what might happen?

    Thanks to you all.

Have you done that in striking D and X?

As CS5 already has the properties panel where you can change the density of a layer mask?

  • Mask decoration color

    Hello:

Mask overlay colors went from a strong light for a soft pastel.  The colors are so light that I can hardly see.  Please tell us how can I get the bright colors on the mask overlay.

Sounds like your flow or density slider is close to zero.

  • Opacity mask setting

Hello! Is it possible to change the density of a mask setting after it has been created? Sometimes I want to change a setting without having to move all the sliders. It would be useful to be able to reduce the opacity of the entire mask. Is it possible to do this? Thank you!

After you set you sliders for the brush in the firrst screen you can click on the small triangle below "EDIT" in the upper right corner, and it will give you a slider "Amout" that adjust the settings, you have changed a relative amount.

  • How can I change the opacity of the layer mask?

    HI -.

I used a layer mask to hide portions of a picture.

Now I need to leave this hidden part of show at, say, 50% opacity (I'll have to experiment to find the optimal percentage.).

I'd like to screw up the layer mask and start on another.  Already, I thought I could duplicate the masked layer, remove the mask on the copy and set its opacity to 50% but now I have 2 layers.  I suspect that there is a way to do without a double layer.

Is it possible to adjust the opacity of the layer mask?

    TIA your entry

    JL

    Win7, Photoshop CS5

Have you tried to use the controls in the masks palette?

You control the opacity of the area exposed with the opacity of the layer and the density of the hidden box with the density on the masks palette slider.

  • Not crisp vector mask

    1) called on a solid green rectangle

    2) chose the shape once again the tool and the option value of path instead of shape layers

    (3) draw an oval or rectangular trajectory

    (4) in the layers panel, choose Add a vector mask

Even if the density is 100% and 0px feather in the mask Panel, I'm blurry / faded / or borders jagged/pixelated.  Y at - it a setting I need to adjust to make this a vector mask strong.  According to me, it seemed just before (with net borders) - do not know if I accidentally messed up something.

    Thank you

According to what you try to hide, any pixel, crossed by the border of the vector mask will certainly be partially hidden in the interest to create a smooth edge.

But pace the image of a greater number of pixels and the edge of the remains of vector mask also crisp it was.

Maybe I don't understand what you expect to see.

  • Good uneven density

I use 3 CS. I have a photo with uneven density (see table). The exhibition is gradually darker to the lighter to a lesser extent from top to bottom and left to right. I tried solutions without success. Is there a quick adjustment for this? IK

I guess that a layer with an appropriate mask curves adjustment might also do the trick.

The option of mask in the 10.2.3 fcpx color correction works only intermittently. When I add the color correction sometimes I can move my mouse over the color correction tab in the Inspector and the mask icon, sometimes it doesn't. • The mask purple of the private browsing mode, where is it?

    Hello!
I installed Firefox 42.0 on my PC running Windows 7 SP1 32 bit and it is stable. But the purple mask, the novelty of the private browsing mode, does not work in the following scenarios. I don't see the purple mask on top of windows.

1 right-click on the "Mozilla Firefox" shortcut, and then select Properties. Add ""-private "at the end of the area target;" \Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"- private.

2 tools > Options > privacy > history, click on the box "always use the private browsing mode.

    Do you have any advice?

    Best regards
    BluePencil

You will see the purple mask if Firefox is in normal mode and you open a new private window.
If you are in permanent private browsing mode, so there is no need to display the icon and it is deleted.

You can use an extension for private browsing mode support tab.
