Master media on 4.0.4
Win XP Pro SP2.
I just got a new PC with XP Pro SP2/IE6 SP2 on it and I can no longer administer the server from the unit.
Yes I have already disabled the MS Firewall has changed the security settings to allow activeX and the DCOM service is running.
On my lap top, I get a prompt after accessing a page of the Subscriber. If I ignore it, I can continue to operate. If I try to login, sessions of IE crashes.
I have watched the troubleshooting guides and could not find anything on the bar to kill a session.
On my new desktop machine, my settings never invited to the media bar, so if I try to work on any subscriber box, the session hangs. Any thoughts on how to get this working again?
The system also shuts if I try and access the APC.
Lee
I noticed the same thing on PC a couple you have described with your office. A Subscriber loading crashes when the MM applet is trying to load.
Any luck that you have loaded the new beta version of Google Desktop Search on this new PC? This seems to be the common denominator of both XP SP2 machines that leave the Master media in our shop to loading. We have other boxes of SP2 always perform SA very well.

Hello
I have mp4 video files that I can't to the list under the genres that I want to do in Windows Media Center.
I have the list of the kind I want them to appear as in the Details section on the right of the video click, but in the movies section, they appear under the type 'other '? Why?
Do I need a '. '. XML data file"to make it work?
I noticed all movie files that can take the date meta online have 2 to 3 "." XML files"in their records. These video files appear under the genres as they should.
I tried to make one. XML file for the video files that can't dry meta data online but they always appear under 'Other' type only.
I need more than 1. XML meta data file? If I do what they are and how can I do it myself?
Can someone lead me to a site that explains how all the. Meta data files XML that I need to make this work.
Thank you
John
Hello
I did a long time ago and it does not help.
However, I found a solution.
'Master Media Center' (free version of the program) will download the XML MetaData files and place them in the folder of video/film. This will force even make a MetaData XML file if it cannot find anything online.
Apparently, Windows Media Center uses XML files to determine what kinds of display movies under.
Without a metadata file XML Media Center will put the video file in the type 'Other' even if you wrote a kind under details.
Now, if I can get my Windows Media Center to stop crashing when I open "Movies!

DCOM error Win2K3 SP1 + Update Wizard permissions
Hi all -
I imported all of a subscriber unit into one of the servers (4.0 (5)) I updated Windows 2003 SP1 and run the Wizard permissions updates which corrects the DCOM problem with master media yesterday. I have attached the error in this post. The error is DCOM event 10016 - machine default permission settings do not have local activation for the COM server application... I was on HIS web of the unity Server authenticated with the administrator account on the unit. I was logged on workstation running IE with domain\userid which corresponds to a Subscriber on the server and has a COS administrator in the unit. The Subscriber of the unit, I imported was imported without other mistakes. Any help would be appreciated. Media master controls also work OK on this server.
Thanks in advance.

1 change Dcom more.
I also had to add the same parameter to AvDSGlobalCatalog to get the search features in SAWeb at work

Why Media Center interfere with the master of local network discovery?
At home, I have a mixed network of 5 win7, XP 3, xbox, pills and devices multimedia TV.
The network relies on a specific working group name (that all windows computers use) not homegroup.
This works well until my Win7 computer that is configured as a DVR with media center becomes the 'master' for LANs to discover. Then only the Win7 computers on my local network. All the XP computers disappear.
Why is this and how do I solve this problem?
It feels like the 'master' for local networks is chosen randomly.
Why Media Center interfere?
Can I stop this interference or inhibit the computer to be ever "master local network media center?"
I use a free app called lanscan to give me a list of computers available in each perspective of computers. When the broken state this app fails to list anything except on the Media Center computer. Lanscan also shows the computer hosting the network discovery.
Thanks in advance.
I have over 30 years of experience with computers but my network is just enough to get me in trouble (and keep changing the rules)

CS4 Master Collection updated installation media
I'll set up a deployment package for CS4 Master Collection remotely using the Toolkit for development to use with SCCM.
I was initially with 4 installation support provided by following the steps provided in the documentation. However, they are now clearly obsolete and require updating. If I download the installation media in the http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs4-product-downloads.html Web page if they have installed updates or client systems have will work always updates?
I found the tool to update remotely, but it says it's for CS5 and above. Is there a similar tool for CS4?
Thanks for any help.

CS6 Master Suite download when having a key but no media
I bought a license for CS6 suite parental thorugh my school. The instructions given by my school was to download the trial version and then activate it using the key. That was fine until the end of last week, when I had to reformat my laptop. I have no support for this software. It was bought the same 19/01/13 not 6 months. In any case, the trial for the continuation of master CS6 download is over. I read some of the forums and they route people to a website tool Prodesigns. I followed the instructions, without success. I have kepp on getting an access denied. I tried to do in both chrome and internet explore, but I have no chance.
How can I download this software again?
Thank you
Prodesigns tool Web site. I followed the instructions, without success. I have kepp on getting an access denied.
You will get an access denied error if you do not carefully follow the instructions very important on the prodesigntools page before you click on the download link.
Most of the people seem to fall on steps 2 and 3.
I just tried to download prodesigntools.com CS6 Master Collection and it worked fine for me in Chrome and Firefox.

Do I need to import in order to export my final product as optimized media as media optimized?
Hello FCPX community!
Please let me know if my reasoning is correct here:
When I upload images that the original and proxy, which means that I can see the project in one of these two codec I'm editing. When I export the final result as Apple Pro Res 422 or more, the exported project will be visible as media optimized.
I do not need to import as media optimized in order to export as optimized media. Import as an optimized media only allows me to see the project as optimized media that I am editing.
Am I wrong?
I uploaded a bunch of images in my project as original and proxy, and the project is now nearly complete. The problem here is that if I need to transcode all media optimized, there are a lot of images and will take much time because I recorded several hours in 4 k footage. I have an old Mac here at work...
Thank you for your time.
I do not need to import as media optimized in order to export as optimized media.
That is right. If you export a master file in ProRes, you export what has basically optimized media.

Help! Staples freeze after export. DVD/Master file, that affected both.
2013 iMAC 27 "o. 24 GB of RAM
El Capitan 10.11.2 OSX
FCPX 10.3.2
Hi all! Help, please.
I'm working on an edit of long marriage. About 1.5 hours long. All clips will play back fine in my calendar. BUT when I export, a bunch of clips "freeze" (IE video stops, audio continues to play). I tried many possible solutions:
-creating new project and collage of clips inside
-creation of new project at a different pace (the images were shot in 29.97, tried exporting 29.97 and 23.98)
-delete the files again rendered rendering and export of projects
-DVD / master file of exports (h.264, ProRes LT) all the same problems of gel experience.
Footage replays in the browser calendar and event without ANY problem.
Footage was shot on Canon 6 d @ 1080 / 30 fps IPB
Help, please! Thank you very much.
When you export to? Is it the same drive as your original media? How much free space on your system drive?

Media imported, but the layer check box is grayed out
I think I can have messed with a framework in my project because when I import media into the canvas or the layers pane, I manually option + click on the box to make it appear. I see the icon and the name on the tab layers, but it is grayed out for some reason any. It's especially annoying when an audio file is imported, because it wont let me check the Master volume box.
There is no problem when running the same tasks with a new project.
Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?
Here's a video of reference.
Looks like you have an object Soloed.

Carpet * a DVD-RAM UJ-850 s does not read blank media - need new firmware
Hey I have a laptop Equium only around the age of 4 months.
Had nothing but problems with the CARPET * A DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA Device drive.
I need to know where I can get the update of the firmware.Firmware for it, that she will not read blank media.
I agree with master... I don't know what kind of problems you have, but if the player doesn't work properly, it must be replaced. The warranty is certainly valid and the nearest authorized can help you with it.
Maybe you made a mistake. Take your laptop to the nearest service and show them what you mean exactly. Here, we can only speculate what may be your problem.

Cannot connect to iTunes Media folder on another volume during synchronization.
Whenever I try to manually sync my iPhone (iPhone 5, 32 GB, iOS 9.2.1) via USB with my MacPro5, 1 (OS X 10.10.5, iTunes current 12.x, 48GB of RAM) I get an error message (-54) that iTunes can't connect to the volume that contains the iTunes library.
The Tunes library is located on a RAID volume, separated from the volume 'system '. The path of the volume is specified (and has been re-specified) on the tab 'Advanced' in the iTunes preferences. The path to the iTunes folder is Master/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/iTunes. (There is an additional media 'MP3' folder in the folder "iTunes Media" he thus.)
Note, it ia a comment harsh in the Advanced tab, that it is best to place the follder iTunes in /Music on the users on the system drive folder / startup. It is not desirable in view of the size of the music library.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
There are several things that you need to understand your current situation. The iTunes library file is a database that keeps track of you iTunes media. It sets your iTunes library. It is usually called iTunes Library.itl. The iTunes folder (in your folder music startup disk user account) is the default location for the iTunes Library.itl file.
Then, there is your iTunes Media folder. By default, this folder contains all the files media real iTunes, classified by iTunes in subfolders by media type, artist, and album. The default location for the iTunes Media folder is also in your iTunes folder (in your folder music startup disk user account).
A common option to move your iTunes out of the startup disk data is to put your iTunes Media on an external drive (or network storage) folder while keeping the file iTunes Library.itl on your startup disk to the default location. To do this without iTunes lose track of your media files (where they are), set a folder iTunes Media vacuum to the location target. Change the location of the designated iTunes Media folder in the Advanced iTunes preferences pane to point to the new iTunes Media folder. Then tell him "consolidate library" so iTunes copy your multimedia files and organize them in the new location of the iTunes Media folder. This command is to organize bar menu-> file-> library-> library-> Consolidate files (checkbox).
NOTE: The iTunes Advanced preferences pane, the TWO check boxes to keep iTunes Media folder organized AND copy files to iTunes Media when adding to the library folder to check (unless you have a specific reason not to).
ANOTHER common option is to copy your folder full of iTunes (with the iTunes Media folder and iTunes Library.itl file) for the external storage, disk, or network manually (using the Finder). Then, use the option to open a different iTunes library
Open a different iTunes library file or create a new - Apple Support
to select the iTunes Library.itl file to the new location.
The main difference is the location of the iTunes Library.itl file. The iTunes Library.itl is frequently consulted and updated by iTunes. If it is on the network storage (with the much slower access compared to a directly connected disc speed), it can adversely affect the performance of iTunes. Therefore, the first option described above may be preferable, by storing media files on the network storage for the file iTunes Library.itl on the internal drive.
In your situation, the iTunes Installer is used?

Hello
The message appears because the laptop trying to boot from LAN.
Why?
The laptop cannot find the boot device
I think that your HARD drive is dead or the master boot record may be damage. To resolve this issue, you must install the system again probably you need to replace the HARD drive first and then you will need to install new windows.
If you have no recovery disk, see this page:

Problem installing Windows XP Pro/Windows Media Center Edition
A few years ago, I built a system which consists of MS Windows Media Center Edition. Recently, the hard drive failed. I replaced the drive with a 1 TB Seagate Barracuda SATA drive. Strangely, I can't reinstall MS Windows Media Center. To clarify... with MS Windows Media Center cd in the drive, the installation went well. The hard drive has been formatted and that the CD-ROM files have been hard disk messages were present. The next step was a reboot by MS Windows cd. This is where the installation fails. After the reboot, the Windows XP splash screen came as if the program Windows opened on your desktop. At halfway through the splash screen, the system restarts. Reboot forever more. I don't know what is happening. Anyone?
