Material interruptions and DPC using 20 to 30% of the CPU?

I have an Intel DZ68BC feet bar Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with 16 GB of RAM and an Intel Core processor i5-2500 @ 3.3 GHz overclocked to 3.8 GHz. I have a problem with the hardware interrupts and DPCS. No matter what I do on my computer, after I start it up, and it has been slowed down for half an hour or more, interruptions starts with about 20-30% of my processing power. Whenever it stings my music in Windows Media Player skips and jumps a lot. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may cause these spikes.

P. S. I have all my drivers and updates to installed Windows.

Thank you
Nathan

I checked with precess Explorer and found a few USB hub root abnormal but I disble and so good (my computer hp compaq dc7800)

  • Material interruptions and DPC / after XP - SP3 install

Following installation of the SP3 (made in safe mode by following the indications of the MS Support) system is terribly slow.

I downloaded sysinternals Process Explorer that displays approximately 88% CPU by the "material Interruptions and DPC.

My reading indicates that it is probably a conflict pilot or in need of an update.  How can I identify what particular device is causing the problem.

The system is a desktop with PCChips A33G v1.0 mobo, processor Athlon 64 3500 + and 2 G of ram and NVidia GeForce 8400GS video card.

This problem started immediately after the sp3 update.  Since the problem started I've updated drivers, BIOS and SATA, sound and network drivers for PCChips site.

To answer your questions, yes I went back to SP2, and no, I'm not meeting all the problems I've had with SP3. [1]

I run a full scan, no viruses / malware problems that I can find.

What do you mean when you say "manually updated to SP3"?  The last attempt to SP3 is the third time around.  The first two were both using automatic updates.

Try 1. Let it auto update.  (There no warnings or actions to be taken in advance). Said it succeeded, but I had this problem of slow use.  (a year ago) is back to SP2 and everything worked well.

Attempt 2. A month ago.  Automatic updates has caused a problem with the MSXML installation, slowing down the system.  The suggestion was to install SP3 for fix.  SP3 was installed by automatic updates, but only after checking that AV was disabled and the other two services (don't remember now) were not installed.  That has not fixed the problem.  So I returned to SP2, resolved the problem of MSXML.

Attempt 3. By suggestions received following the attempt 2, I downloaded the SP3 update and installed in safe mode.  It's the attempt that triggered this thread.

[1] deliver him remaining under SP2 is that, every time you start, the Wizard "new hardware found" said attempts to install a PCI device, can not find a driver and I have no idea of what the device.  I have a NVidia video card, but its drivers are installed and up-to-date.  I hit Cancel, the wizard tells me that something does not work, but everything works fine.

  • If I already downloaded and am using photoshop, if I update the 19.99/month plan, but choose illustrator, I will no longer have access to photoshop?

    ^^

    Hello

I see you are using Photoshop and Lightroom for $9.99 / month (with the same id in the forums adobe) If you upgrade to full creative cloud for $19.99 (student & teacher), you always be always will be able to use photoshop, since it is a complete package.

and if you add Illustrator as a single application for $19.99, it's just an add on and you will be able to use photoshop.

    Rick,

You could try to reinstall using step three way:

Uninstall, run the cleanup tool and reinstall.

    Hi llewdrac,

Right-click on your desktop and select Properties (you can see nView properties).

Click the Desktop tab and click Properties.

Go to choose the appearance of the background on the desktop. There is a drop down menu which will include these options: Center, the tile and Stretch.

    Choose Stretch and the apply.

Let us know if that helps.

  • Windows XP system using more than 50% of the CPU

    Hello

Recently, my windows XP works very slowly, with system interruptions take up more than 50% of CPU, most of the time. I've updated all the drivers yesterday, the problem disappeared for a few hours then reappeared again.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Start your machine in a "Clean boot" State and see if you still have your problem (I bet you won't):

"How to configure Windows XP to start in a"clean boot"State
      <>http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353 >

If the problem goes away in the clean boot state, then use MSConfig to find out which program or service is causing the problem:

"How to solve configuration errors by using the System Configuration utility in Windows XP"

There is a lot of trial and error, but finally you have to narrow down the cause of your problem.

The usual cause of this is that your broadband connection is not fast enough or you have multiple computers, try to use it at the same time.

This allows to check your speed broadband http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/diagnostics#results

  • Firefox has recently started locking everytime I try to open some Web sites, and it starts to monopolize the resources of the computer up to use 50 to 60% of my CPU where he usually uses 5-15%.

I had problems in the past three weeks or so, where Firefox will lock when you access websites like NP.eBay.pl or Facebook, and sometimes even Google search. When you try to load these sites, sometimes the program crashes and starts using 50 to 60% of my CPU and sometimes a constantly growing amount of RAM. The only way I can fix it is to go into the Task Manager and kill the program, and then restart Firefox. Is not always a solution, either, as sometimes exactly the same problem arises immediately when I reload Firefox and I have to kill him again through TM. I usually four to six tabs open, and have never had any problems with Firefox like this before the approximate date of September 17. Could this problem have taken birth in the latest updates?

    Try this:

For me, the solution was the Network.http.Max - connections setting. Lowering this setting is default 256 to 32 of correction of the problem. If you have not tried to change this maybe give it a go by typing about: config in your address bar, and then click the Network.http.Max - connections setting and by replacing the value 32.

  • Copy ESXi 4.0 VM off the ESXi server and start using it

    Hello

I want to know if it is possible to copy virtual machines stored in the ESXi 4.0 data store server that I can download just outside the server, let's say in a the position of work/external HDD and start using it immediately. Request, the reason why it is we have some scenarios that our demos are field office and so you are obliged to distribute virtual machines in a laptop or external hard drive. I have been using VMWare Converter 4.0 to convert the VM VMWare Server ESXi, but it takes time, is there another way to do much faster this process or any product VMWare Player or workstation that can run ESXi virtual machines without conversion.

    Looking forward to your feedback.

    Nikhil

VMware Converter is the best choice and really one of the fastest.

  • Satellite A300-U01 - do not have an ATI option using a right click on the desktop

I have A300-u01; It has the graphics card ATI RADEON 3650.
Well, I had Sat A205 which had the graphics card intel.
When I use to do a right click on the desktop there is possibility for Intel graphics card but on my Sat A300 I don't have the option even with right click deskop.

I saw an A300 Sat at the market and he had the ATI card and also had Option ATI with a right click on the desktop.

    With regard to the option ATI;
This option is displayed only by using Windows XP.
In XP you can join the ATI settings with right click on the desktop-> properties

In Vista, you should find the ATI Catalyst in start-> all programs-> Catalyst Control Center

    What about the battery time;
Battery working time depends on the use of the laptop and the battery.
If you are running high-performance applications then the battery will last longer, not as an hour.
You can extend the battery, time to work if you would be less light the brightness of the screen and would use a stronger battery with the value of my superior.

  • Envy 15 t: using a USB key as the recovery media

The instructions of assistant decision-making support, that the thumbdrive are not compatible with Windows 8 ?

The computer is a computer of Windows 8 (actually the 8.1).  Recovery files would be (probably) 8.1 recovery of files.

However, it seems that the recovery thumbdrive must be compatible?

    What I don't understand? ..... Izzy

    Hi @Izzy11201 ,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems, with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your TouchSmart from HP ENVY 15 laptop and issues using a USB key as the recovery media.

I think that the laptop it tell you that the Thumbdrive could not be formatted for all functions of Windows 8. It doesn't have to be 32 GB and is compatible to Windows 8 to create a recovery USB Flash disk. Here is a link to the creation of recovery disks or USB in Windows 8 flash player, if you need it.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.
