matter of timing in a signal to simulate (exit DaqAssistant)

Hi, I was working on a wave form simulating the box to exit DAQ Assistant (try to generate the sinusoidal waveform amplifier)

and... for some reason, I can't run my program

I thought that if I put the DAQ assistant to be "On Demand" should be all he gets:)

the error message says, that there are some problems with the sampling frequency,

I am attaching some pictures, please help me:)

Lol at the request is not that at all. How to take a single (scalar) value and write request. It does not accept a waveform. You do not use N samples or continuous

  • Weird behavior with Signal to simulate and loops

I'm having a weird behavior with Signal to simulate and while loops. Attached a photo of my program. The problem I have is that when I use Stop to stop inside while loop, then use to restart the inner loop, simulate Signal instantly generates a bunch of points of data between when I pressed Stop and Go. By example, if I stop for 5 seconds, wait 5 seconds, then press Go, it will instantly generate data for t = 5 t = 10. What I need is for the generation of signals to stop when I press stop and continue where it left off when I press Go. How can I accomplish this? I have no idea why he exhibits the behavior described in the first place.

    Hi optometry.

Can you give us a screenshot of the configuration window for the VI express to simulate signal? I was able to reproduce the problem when I used "Simulate the time of acquisition" at times, but the VI's are featured as you described you wanted when I used "run as fast as possible." Have you tried this setting?

  • Add value of signal to simulate

It's my first VI.  I'm passing together an array of 5 values that gets concatenated into a string.  I thought it would be neat for the 5th table value always change so I use the VI of Signal to simulate.  I have the result of this VI works fine but I don't know how to replace the 5th element.

    Thanks for your help

    Hi Scott,.

I think you're close enough to get what you want! After the signal is inserted into the table, you should connect the output of the function insert in the table in the array to string of worksheet function. Right now it seems like you simply concatenate the array generated by your autoindexed for the loop and ignoring the table you inserted the sine in.

I hope this helps! Good luck!

Hi all, I am a beginner of absoulte with labview so any help would be greatly appreciated, I want to increase the frequency of a sine wave generated, created using signal.vi simulation, increments together over time.
In other words, I want the signal.vi to simulate to produce a sinusoidal signal who will say during a period of time increase of 39.5 kHz frequency to 41.5 kHz increments of 0.1 hz.

  • matter of timing gives error-200279

    Hey

I'll have some problems in my program on the schedule and read. The question arises with the part of my code, relating to a barometer Vaisala PTB - 110. (in addition, the program is related to 4 x Rotronic HF5 transmitters and 3 x Brooks MFC). It worked fine for months with samples available by alternating channel between 0 and 1, but now he just continues to rise before giving the error 200279.

The intention is to have snack every second. I tried to play use 'samples available' for the 'number of samples', but this translates each other read value is 0. I also tried to set the number of samples to read 2 but this messes with my Save function, which is built to collect time-based.

The problem has left me speechless because nothing has been changed compared to when it worked fine.

The section of the code dealing with the PTB-110 is included.

I hope someone can help me understand what is wrong. If it is necessary to understand this out made me know.

    Thanks in advance

Not sure I understand what you try to do, but...

Looks like you're creating a continuous sample with a sampling frequency of x ms/sample (for example 500 ms).  Then feed you the 500ms in all loop and I guess off the screen is a wait function.  In other words, the while loop will iterate to slightly more than 500 ms/iteration (assuming that there is nothing slower inside the loop) and check back to see if there is a sample ready.  This means that the apparent read rate is slightly slower than the sampling frequency and the # available creep indefinitely. If something is much slower inside the loop (for example, something takes 750ms to run) you're problem will worsen.  I would like to try out a millisecond timer reading to an output of indexation of the while loop to see what really is your loop rates.

Seems strange that you're using "Channel N, N sample" and immediately the indexing on the first sample of the first waveform.  No further comment other than seems weird.

If you can tolerate a little jig in the calendar of your reading, you could try a single reading (1 channel, 1 reading, don't not continuous) inside the while loop (or better still within a dedicated loop parllel) and finish with the clock sampling and stuff of readings available.

  • Hive and IDM - a matter of timing

Can I add users to the hive today and not lose all that work when I install Oracle IDM (directory services)?

I have the hive today, but will not be able to deploy IDM and access for several weeks, I don't want to lose the space work, configurations, stored emails, etc..

    Help! < girn >

    Hi Michael,

If you install a beehive platform and create some test users, just to check that everything is OK (for example, SMTP, etc.) these accounts will be unusable after a synchronization hive with an external directory such as IOM. Also if synchronized users include those similar (login, email) to your initial users, they will have problems using the hive until the former user is properly purged.

  • How to create a delay between the start of the signal simulated one and the other?

    Hello

As a first step, I am relatively new to Labview.

I am trying to use Labview for 2 different output square waves (different frequencies, amplitudes, etc.).  I've implemented 2 signals to simulate different and do them in a While loop, however, when I start the program, I need a square to begin signal immediately and the other to start square waves 2 seconds later.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    A few questions.

Are these frequencies of associated signals? If so, were they to be "in phase"?   As from one simulation after another, put one start later in a case statement, pass a county of timer to establish the initial start time through the loop, subtract the value of the other in the loop, when the difference is => in 2 seconds, set a real flag and have the second simulation in the real of the structure of the business case.

    Typed too slowly again!

  • How to generate analog signals?

    Hi all

I'm trying to generate analog signals to simulate the position of the valve. I also want to simulate the position of the valve 0 - 5V (analog signal).  I've implemented the numeric position of the valve by using the toggle switches, but I want to implement analog signals.

    You can help.

    Thank you

You can just use a random number generator.

Since you have no generator hardware signals of NOR, I'm not sure why you are posting to this Board. Generic questions of LabVIEW. Post to this Board.

  • Loop in microseconds

    Hi all

I'm still fairly new to labview and I need your help for a matter of timing:

This is the material that I own:

    Chassis _NIPXIe-1073

    _NIPXI-6259 DAQ

    _NIPXI-6722 DAQ

_NI5751 FPGA with digital module 2147 (analog input) and 2148 (e/s)

The software I use is Labview 2012 64bits.

    Now, here's my question:

For now, I use only the Council of NIPXIe-6259DAQ which has inputs and analog outputs.

What I have to do is record an analog signal, a couple of matemathical asks about it and send it to an analog output. I do this in a while loop Labview (attached is my vi).

However the process of acquisition and output signals must be performed in 1 microsedonds.

For the time being with the NIPXIe-6259DAQ card when I try to run this kind of tasks, I can write only 10samples/ms... When I use probes in labview to check how many samples are written.

Don't see an obvious solution to my problem with the material that I own?

If not, should what kind of material I buy for my needs?

    Thank you very much

    Best regards

For the recovery of the microsecond, I really think you want to go with an FPGA, something in the Councils of PXI R Series should work for you.  I do not trust Windows at all to be able to turn around that data in a microsecond, consistantly nevermind.

  • Sleep button... gone power?

I have a Mac Mini that I run headless connected to my stereo. I use it as a jukebox and it is set up to start play iTunes on random when he wakes. I used the power button to wake up the machine and put it back to sleep. I recently upgraded the machine and now, by pressing the power button no longer works. This feature seems to have disappeared in El Capitan.

I find it hard to believe that Apple would have no reason to remove such a useful feature, but I have no chance of finding the power button settings in one of the preferences. They hide or has been completely removed?

It still works on my rMBP. I think it's a matter of timing. You hold the power for about a second.

  • HP 8600 all-in-one

Can someone please help, I have a HP8600 all in one, from this week of passage, all was good.

I can not receive or send faxes, he composed, its says connection then nothing, report print no response. I check my phone line which is a dedicated line that works, I did a test of fax that says that all pass

    I'm stuped

    Thank you

    Hi Theresa615,

Fax can sometimes run on a VoIP network, it can fail for the following reasons:

Fax transmissions are sensitive to the timing of the signals.

There is a slight delay in the signal because of the time that it takes to create the Internet packets.

Internet traffic becomes too heavy and packets are lost which must then be recreated.

Internet traffic also increases latency (the time it takes for a packet to travel between its point of origin to the point of destination) that surpasses the demands of the moment.

The only parameters that you can change on the printer, would be to disable error correction and lower the speed on the printer.

Sending faxes on a voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Service.

I contact the cable company and ask them to increase the speed on the line and to make sure that the line is clean. In this way no packets are lost, using the voip packets don't get recovered.

Hope that will fix this problem.

    Thank you.

  • Adding a 2nd, 3rd etc. to formula entry

    In the examples section, there

    "Lissajous with VIs.vi Express.

    in the examples section under

    / Principles/fundamental graphics and diagrams.

I can remove two entries of the formula and add them again, but I can't add a 3rd entry and more 'Trim' and 'X '.

Also, I'm wondering how to change the text of 'Simulate Signal' to 'Simulate Signal for Horizon/vertical' as in the example.

You simply define a formula that contains more parameters.

You can't have three entries in a formula that uses only two variables. That would be foolish.

Have you tried clicking on the express VI? Have you looked at the help?

  • Very basic error, don't know his reason

    Hello

I use your Express measure to calculate the amplitude and frequency of the signal to simulate for verification of the base.

Here if I connect the control of the frequency of the signal of the simulation, the vi correctly while when I disconnect the frequency of the signal to simulate, the measure of your Express does not have a correct reading for the Amplitude and frequecny. While the graph is displayed correctly.

Is this a bug or a mistake in the programming.

    Pls help out.

    Thank you

I did to change the number of samples to 400:

and then I get to the values that you used (8 Hz, 21 amp frq) this signal and correct estimates:

  • simple DMA FIFO reading two analog channels

    Hello

I have a question on a method of data transfer between two analog inputs for a simple DMA FIFO in FPGA. The code is described here: http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-6303. If I use this method, and I got out in a graph of my host VI, the calendar in the graph reflects the same schedule as the signals that have been entered? Or will they be phase shift between two signals?

    Thank you

    Grant

    Grant:

Because it is not all information of timing with the signals in the FIFO, there will be no lag phase on the chart.

Hope that helps. I would like to know if I forgot something, or who does not explain very well.

    Thank you!

  • Period measurement error 20308

I'm trying to measure the period of a very slow rate (Hz 0,083) to come to my DAQ (6009).

However, it comes with "error-20309 occurred at the" NI_MAPro.lvlibulse measures 1 chan.vi:2 "when it is called of" NI_MAPro.lvlibulse measures N chan.vi:1 "(waveform index 0 1)". "

DQA captures method is set on "on demand" however I also tried various (frequency + buffer) such as 10 k by 2 k.

but it always comes up with the error.

I know why it comes up with this error but do not know how to fix it.

I have attached the vi (the signal to simulate reply my DAQ)

Because you'll probably want at least 2 cycles whole to your measurements, and each cycle lasts approximately 12 seconds, I would get 25 seconds of data at 50 Hz (1250 samples)
