  I took my Mac for maintenance and has updated the OS to Maverick. Printing works fine but not the scanner.  Message is to make sure "scan to computer" is enabled in the printer software. I don't see all the software of the printer. Any suggestions?

  As you receive this type of error and you do not see the HP software on your Mac computer, then please follow this HP document on a message "No computer found" during scanning. The Photosmart 5514 software may have gotten deleted when you took your Mac computer for maintenance. At the end of this document provides troubleshooting steps to reinstall the software.

  Y at - it an update of software/driver for the Mavericks 10.9 HP?

  I ask this question because my scanner and mac records all scanned a PDF file in a file that is entirely black.

• HP scanner incompatible with Mac OS 10.9 (Mavericks)?

  A number of people seem to have problems scanning after update to OS X Mavericks.  Me too.

  In collaboration with 300 Pro LaserJet color MFP M375 nw.

  I use HP Scan my iMac, connected to the LaserJet printer, to scan from this printer/scanner of my iMac (to thedesktop), as I did a thousand times.

  When I try, the HP scan window appearance is everything as usual.  But when I "send to folder", the .jpeg (.pdf or .tif) that happens on the desktop is (1) (2) partial and distorted.

  NOTE: If I use this "generalist" do setting, no distortion - but with this setting I can't get 300 ppi, which is what I want.

  I also have a * little * result with the 3D setting.

  However, the parameter 'Documents with text' - the one I've always used - gives the same result, TVs/axe, no matter what I introduce variations.

  There don't seem to be software updates from Apple.

  I can't find anything on the HP site for downloads treat the BONES of the Mavericks.

  Something is in the works at HP?  How will we know about it?

  You are expereincing the same question scan tha are a lot of people.  We are gettign the solution posted as soon as it passes the test.  I can explain how to scan multiple pages into a single document now well.

  In the Image Capture.

  Choose your scanner on the left (mine are listed under shared), then click on "Show details" on the bottom.

  Choose the PDF format, then check the box for "combine several pages into single file" (or similar words).

• Scanner on HP Envy 114 not recognized by IMac (Mavericks)

  Our IMac (running the Mavericks) allows to work very well with our all in one HP Envy 114.  Now the scanner even not present in "printers and scanners" and I can't scan even if it prints very well.  Some advice for me?

  I've just updated to 10.9 (Mavericks) and the scanner software cannot save the picture correctly in PDF format.  The image looks fine in the HP scanning application, but the saved PDF file is cut on the right side (an inch or two).

• Scanner HP Photosmart 2610 not recognized by Mac OSX Mavericks 10.9.2

  Is there a problem with the current printer/scanner HP driver for the Mavericks?

  I did the software update and when I go to 'Printers and Scanners', Mac recognizes the printer but when I click on the "open scanner", the scan window opens but I get an error message saying it can't find the device. I can't even preview or Capture of Image to recognize the scanner.

  I just upgraded to the Mavericks of OSX. My HP scanning software seems to work with my Laserjet M175nw until I have save the file and then a lot of the right side of the document is cut off.

  I use Mac OS X version 10.9.2 and HP all in one Officejet J6480.  The all-in-one is able to print but not scan.  Here is the error message.    None of your above worked for me.  Either you are the reference to a different version of the operating system Mac or another HP printer.  What would you recommend for my Mac and a printer?  Thank you.

  Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I understand since the upgrade of the OS to 10.9 Mavericks you get an error "sorry scanner could not be initialized" with your HP Officejet J6480. After some research, there is no complete abailable features of software and drivers for the J6480 JO, that said that the printer would have been installed using the Apple updates. To get a better understanding of take a look below:

  There seems to be many discussions on this topic, but I want to specifically ask a MAC Mavericks 10.9.2 tyring scan a Photosmart 7520 wireless...  I called tech support and they said there is a work around, but they will have to pay to tell me what it is... not.

  Try scanning from your Mac. Use Image Capture app in your Applications folder.
  
  Click once on the scanner on the left side, and then click Show details on the background. Along the right side you will see MANY options for scanning and recording.

  Unfortunately the software, you get the update of the printer software does not include the application of scanning HP - only print and scan drivers.  I just checked out your product and it does not appear that he has plans to release a scanning HP Installer updated for this model.

  On the Mavericks seems, your best option will be to use the Apple's Image Capture scanning application.  You will find this application in the folder/Applications.  You also have the ability to scan using the preview.  Look in the file menu to make the command import from a scanner.

  I've been seen this problem for quite some time now and hove through the many posts about it and tried the fixes, but in vain. I "upgraded" to the mavericks and now whenever I use the scanner is leaving unexpectedly. Sometimes I am able to scan once, but then it crashes and just closes. Tried to get the new drivers and install these, same thing. Is there a certain way, they must be installed? Do I need to uninstall the old drivers?   If you haven't already done so, try to reset the printing system. This will require you to add the machine, which must use the correct drivers. Did you check Canon Website for drivers of Mavericks?

• Multi-page scanning with Photosmart 3150 and Mavericks

  I recently updated my OS from Mac to the Mavericks (OS 10.9.1).  Before this upgrade, my Photosmart C3150 printed and scanned exactly as I wanted.  I could scan a multiple page document and save it as a .pdf file successfully.

  Now, when I scan a document of several page and try to save it in .pdf file, I get an error message that says: "an error occurred registering the file because it could not be written in.  Check the properties of the file to ensure that it is not dead. »

  I don't have this problem if my digital file is a single page .pdf.  I tried to use the send to preview or send to the office, and the same problem occurs.  Sometimes when I try this, the HP Scan, the application hangs and I have to use Force Quit to close (but not every time).

  Really can't wait for scan documents several pages in individual files, one page.  Any other suggestions on how to overcome this problem?

  You can open the analysis option in system preferences and analyze the many elements from there rather than using HP scanning.
