Max of the Instance size?

Hey all,.

Nobody knows where and how you set the size the instance process max? I created an object of BPM with a string attribute. I then created a quick presentation so that I could cut and spent an xml document in the text box and submit the form. When I submit the form, I get the following error:

Caused by: error in executing for the process execution engine.
Caused by: Max size exceeded instance.
Current size is 23461, while the maximum size is 16384.

My code seems to work very well with a small xml document. Any ideas would be very appreciated.

Thank you
Graham

Hi Graham,

In the Studio, you can change the size of the max instance by going to the project Navigator-> right mouse tab by clicking on the project->, click 'Preferences of engine'-> with the 'Engine' category selected in the upper left corner click on the tab 'Advanced' in the upper middle part of the dialog box-> change the value in the field 'maximum size of the Instance.

There is a similar setting on the company, you need to change before starting the deployment of the project for this.

You will get a warning message if you did too big ("the amount of memory used to store the instance in memory (maximum size of instance * cache size) must be less than half the maximum JVM heap size"). If you see this error, remove your calculator and click on the 'Détails' tab (to the right of the "Advanced" tab "you clicked right on"). Note the "Maximum JVM Heap Size" (usually 256 MB). For example, if you change the size of the instance in the "Advanced" tab from 16 KB to 32 KB, you can change the setting of "Cache of Instances" of 5000 to 2500.

Hope this helps,
Dan

First, take a look at your instance variables in your process. Determine if some could be changed to be separated from the instance variables. Once the class of an instance variable passes from "Normal" to "Separated", it is not included in the calculation of instance size.

If you cannot mark variables as separate, then in Studio's "project Navigator" tab, right mouse click on the name of your project-> click on 'Preferences of engine'-> 'Engine' chosen as the category, click on the tab "Advanced" the top right the 'Instance Maximum size' to 64 KB (4 x the original value of 15 KB) and change the "Instances" Cache to 1250 (1/4 the original value).

  • How to query the current size of the instance to an instance of a process

    Hello guys,.

I am currently a capacity Plan for my BPM environment and I would like to know the size of the current instance of a different nature from the processes deployed in my environment. I'm going to need it to calculate an average size instance per process. The main reason for this capacity plan is that instance of our environment size is set to more than 1000 KB (don't know what kind of problems in the past that led to this value exceeded configured) and I don't want to leave this configuration but I can't be sure decline without knowing if our production environment will begin to launch exceeded error "Max Instance size.

Is it possible to retrieve this information? APIs or SQL query where I can find this information?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello, Luiz!

In order to estimate the size of the instance, you will need to summarize all the size of instance variables.
Forward-looking practice, it can be difficult to use the algorithm in the case when your instance variables are not simple types.

To already existing instances, you can look at the size of the instance in the database:
An instance is just a java object, which is serialized as a byte [] and stored in the database engine, PPROCINSTANCE table, column INSTDATA.
You can write a simple program (plu java or SQL) that would read the instance of the BLOB object and measure the size.

And Yes, with large instances, you may have performance problems.

  • helps the screen size of games I play

Hello... I have two games I play on my laptop; DIABLO 2 and HALO...
When I run these games the screen that is displayed is "cut" on the sides... in other words it does not use the mode FULL screen...

I looked through the control panel and tried to change it in the "PROPERTIES" of the game, but nothing helps... "

Two of my girls have the same laptop and same and their games use the mode FULL screen...

    any suggestions...?

    Thank you
    Reverend Rob Roy

You'd probably your monitor or different graphics settings.
I cannot use Nvidia as a reference for the forcing of fullscreen, but you should be able to extrapolate to any graphics you use - you use the control panel to the graphic drivers
    Go to-(Nvidia Control Panel)
Select the option - 'adjust the position and size of office.
    There are three options-
Aspect Ratio - retains the proportions of the software/game origin
Full screen - as it is said. Everything will be shown full screen regardless of the resolution.
No scaling - not sure how this affects on as I have not used.

There is also an option for "' perform the scaling on: monitor - or gpu '."
Here, you would use "gpu" If you want to use the options above.
Use "monitor" If you want your screen calibration to override the settings in the Nvidia Control Panel.
With the help of "monitor" will do everything full-screen unless your monitor has a specific framework to allow the 4:3 aspect ratio.

    More about aspect ratios:
These games were not designed for wide screen monitors. They use a 4:3 format.
While you can force on the big screen the results is not desirable.
Two different things can happen when forcing screen wide according to the
    game.
    (1) the image is stretched on the side which distorts the image
    (2) top and bottom of the image is cut to make the image to fit on the screen without stretching it.
It also has effect of reduction of the depth of field.
This option isn't so bad for some games. Personally, I prefer to stay with the many old games 4:3 aspect ratio, but also use (on a 24 "monitor) 1600 x 1024 which has small black bars than the 4:3 aspect ratio, but also retains the original close perspective.

Aspect ratios relate to the shape/size of the screen and it's native resolution.
    EG - 4:3 = 1024 x 768 / 5:4 = 1280xx1024 / 16 x 10 = 1920 x 1200 / 16:9 = 1920 x 1080
Once again-, this is only a sample and relates to a 24 "monitor. Your laptop monitor
    would use some different resolutions.

16:9 is an unfortunate aspect ratio for a large number of older games as you are limited to a maximum of 1280 x 1024, because often, these games have an option of 1600 x 1200, which cannot be done on a monitor with a vertical resolution of 1080 (24 "monitor) max with these games 1600 x 1024 is therefore a good option if the game allows.
1680 x 1050 can be good with games as well.
BTW - I use 1280 x 1024 with Diablo 2 and the sides and the top of the black bars.

If you don't already have it, the mod in the link below is very convenient for Diablo 2-

But the hard for instance file is 34.5 GB size - it is more than 20% larger.

Any not really - I'm just curious as to why I can't get it down to a smaller size (mainly to speed up backups)

  • The file size of data in Windows Server 2003 R2 x 64

    Hello

I have an Oracle Database 10 g Release 10.2.0.4.0 - Production (single instance) on Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x 64 Edition, 64-bit of the IBM BladeCenter HS22.

And I would like to know what is the maximum size that a database can reach in an environment like this?

The real database, have 10 data files and each data file a giga bytes.

    Can someone help me!

The maximum file size is determined by the block size. For a tablespace petit_fichier (which is almost certainly what you have), it is 4 M blocks, so if you use 8 K blocks (that you are almost certainly) the maximum size is 32 G. A bigfile tablespace can be blocks of 4 G.

  • What determines the maximum size of a data file store?

I have two SAN devices that serve as warehouses of data for virtual machines.  When you look in the view of data warehouses, the Configuration tab, selection of a host (although a data store is selected in the tree view in the left pane), then selcting properties for this data store.

On a data store the total capacity is 600 GB, VMFS3.33, Max File Size 256 & Block Size 1 MB

On the other data store the total capacity is 1.42 to, VMFS3.46, Maximum File Size 1024 GB, & block size 4 MB

Of course, I understand that the amount of free space in a data store can limit the size a file size may be, but I wonder what are the other factors.

It is the block size when you format first. If you need more large file size the only way again is to reformat. http://KB.VMware.com/kb/1003565
