maximum rate of series cRIO 9066

Hello.

I would like to know the maximum flow to the serial port on CompactRIO 9066. I couldn't find it in the manual.

Kind regards

Daniel

Hello

The maximum speed of all cRIO-906 x devices is 230.4 Kbps. CAR 554278 has been filed to have this information included in textbooks of specifications, but at the time meant, serial specifications will be equivalent to the cDAQ-9068.

Kind regards

  • With CVI to transfer files to cRIO 9066

    Hello

I'm trying to copy files to a directory on a cRIO 9066.

The method I use is to map a drive in Windows 7 and I want to copy the files with the CopyFile function in CVI.

The reader is defined as \\ni-crio-9066-030c6bf1.local\files (I also tried http://ni-crio-9066-030c6bf1.local \files).

With this method I can transfer files on this disc with the CopyFile function, but the transfer rate is extremely slow.

For a 300 KB file, it will take about 25-30 years.

During this time, my request is breaking, there is no more values in the controls or the UIRs until the copy is complete.

I tried to disable 'Automatically detect settings' in Internet Explorer in tools > Internet options > LAN settings > connections as I've seen in a knowledge base (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/4EBE45E8A816B19386257B6C0071D025).

The copy is much more rapid 1-1, 5 sec but I have a few failures of transfer. Windows told me that the transfer failed in a popup, the file in the cRIO is a file of 0ko (and CopyFile returns an error).

In the knowledge base, they warn about the failures of transfer but I was hoping to get an error code in the CopyFile function.

I also tried to run cmd.exe copy 'name of the source file' 'target file name' with LaunchExecutableEx but I got the same results.

I'm in a dead end for now.

Do you have any idea how I can transfer files between CVI and the cRIO?

PS: I tried the WebDAV protocol in Labview and it seems fine with that (good transfer rate and no failure of transfer). But I did find this library in CVI.

    Thank you for your help.

I'm sorry for my late reply.

I managed to send files in the cRIO 9066 via FTP.

I installed 'Legacy FTP Server' on the cRIO and I used the FTP API in CVI (proposed on the french forum and by the regulation).

    This solution works very well.

I didn't want to use an external if possible API so I chose the FTP solution.

  • Acquisition of data using C++ and cRIO-9066

    Hello!

I want to write a C++ application that would make the acquisition of data from modules installed in the cRIO-9066 chassis and this application should work without LabView. How can I do? This chassis connect to my PC using NI-DAQmx? Is this possible?

    Hi aanodin,

When you use a device that uses our architecture of RIO, it is usually best to use LabVIEW to develop your application. In this way, you can also program the FPGA with LabVIEW FPGA module and makes programming much easier real-time processor. In fact, your model of cRIO is officially supported by our LabVIEW programming language, as seen on page 4 of the Manual: (http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/376186a.pdf).

Due to the FPGA interface, you cannot use DAQmx with cRIO. I hope this helps.

  • CRIO-9066 FIFO data conversion problem

I'm having a problem with a multiple element SGL FIFO on a cRIO-9066 where data is not read correctly.  Here is the configuration:

I have two Host - to - Target FIFOs, identical except for type: FXP is the other SGL.  Both are 16-element.  Data SGL which are read turns a conversion error.  A sample minimum (2014 for the 9066) project is included.

The example works fine if the FIFO SGL 1-element; something more big fails.  Is not supported on the same 9066 thought that the project allows the creation?

    Thank you

    David

It seems that maybe it's a bug in the Simulator.  Exit the simulation mode, run it on your target and watch the interactive mode in this way.  The results are what you expect.  It is strange that they would be converted at some point.

  • Maximum rates of VMware NSX

    Hello

Is there an official or non-official documentation on maximum rates NSX? Max rules dFW, max dLR dLW... like vSphere?

    Thank you

    Hi EcoBassam,

I was also looking for the same information on the VMware NSX - V official documentation page, as we are currently in the design phase of a project for the integration of NSX - V. And these limits really importance scale.

I have published the information that I received from VMware PSO on the following ticket:

I hope that the information will answer some of your questions.

  • The PXI - 6259 sampling rate M SERIES DAQ

    Good afternoon friends,

I'm reading my series M manual trying to find AO maximum sampling rate I can run my PXI-6259 to.   I need to generate four-channel (A0:3) grid output wave high fidelity.   Higher sampling frequencies enable higher frequency in tone generation and a better representation of the sounds of broadband as white noise.   How fast can I run this puppy, and is there a point where performance and reliability starts to suffer?

    I'll keep digging for answers!

    Thank you

    Zach Hey!

If you look on page 3 of the 625 x card product, the analog output with 4 channels update is 1.25 MECH. / s.  Rock on!

  • problem writing series cRIO

I want to communicate between cRIO-9073, and PC, the master will cRIO. Now am with VISAS for communication, my problem is when I write from PC and read in RIO I can do. But when I write of RIO and read from PC I could not able to read. No value is coming. I don't know what I'm missing. Maybe the difference in speed? Do I have to change baud rate? Now, I put to 9600 in the two.

    Can someone please help?

Am still not familiar with the serial port signals but I'm trying to help you. Just do a test: disconnect the cable from the RIO and just turned the numbers 2 and 3 of the serial port cable and run both at the same time code in the host. If you receive data properly, then the problem could be with the cable (right or pivot) option.

  • Satellite L650 - what is the maximum rate of WLan 802.11n?

    Hello!

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L650-11th with broadcom wireless card.

The driver installed is version 5.60.48.35, dated dated 21/01/2010, which looks like the most recent available at Toshiba.

However, Windows 7 indicates a rate of connection of only 65Mbps.
With an another Toshiba that I have, with an Atheros chipset, I get 135Mbps.

The broadcom 802.11n only does support 20 MHz channels?
Is it possible to configure it to use the 40 MHz channels?
    How?

In addition, the network search, I found a broadcom WiFi driver in HP site with version 5.100.82.130 (May 25, 2012).
It would help to install this driver, or would it be a bad idea?

    Thank you
    Paulo

    Hello

The wireless network card supports 802.11 B G N standard

    You should read this info:

+ Can use the 5 GHz on the wireless network card in the standard WiFi "n". +
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB0502VM0000R01.htm

Usually, the standard 802.11 N standard supports 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz but 5 GHz are supported only if the WLan card would also support a standard 802.11.
802.11 is not supported, the 802.11 standard operating at 2.4 Ghz

    Howdy,

  • Need for clarification: recommended Configuration of maximum rates for NIC ports

    Ran across this KB 1020808 other one http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1020808of work.

We build on a new data center. Hosts will be:

    • ESXi 4.1 U1 (latest version)
    • HP DL380 G7
    • 2 Xeon X 5690 3.46 GHz (hex core)
    • 192 GB of memory
    • 2 - NC522SFP 10GbE (two ports Netxen)
    • 2-8GB Fibre Channel

I had planned to use to start 1 port on each card 10GbE and interfaces 1 GB 4 - Board. The article has a few numbers of modeling that concerns me because they all say 10GbE-4 or 2-10GbE cards and x number of 1 GB. There is not a mention of 4-10 GbE cards and also 1 GB.

    1. This allusion to only used 10GbE interfaces or interfaces that ESXi can see? I have no way to hide the unused interfaces of the OS.
    2. If referring to only used interfaces, I'd be in a 'public' setting if later, I decided to use all 4 10 GbE ports and 4 1GbE ports?
    3. I see the number of CPU/memory on the list and I was wondering if I'm supposed to extrapolate from that (i.e. I have 12 hearts and 192GO so, I should be able to support more of the graph.) Didn't know what this function would be?

I would appreciate any clarification, so I understand that if I have some limitations or restrictions to consider.

Personally I would only put VM Networking on the Nexus 1000v and perhaps vMotion. It is not supposed to put something else out there because they are related to high level functions of vSphere infrastructure. The Nexus is all about discount back control of your network to the network environment go ahead guys, if you don't mind losing this kind of control, but as I said the most relevant way to implement this is to your VM networks.

I wouldn't put on Nexus one and probably management traffic no storage either if you've always dreamed of iSCSI. FT and vMotion you can probably up there without any problem.

In a feet network with several uplinks in an Active all Hash IP configuration will give you a much higher throughput. See:

    http://KB.VMware.com/kb/1011966

For the physical NETWORK card support information see:

    http://www.blueshiftblog.com/?p=148

    http://frankdenneman.nl/2010/07/load-based-teaming/

If your configuration would differ somewhat from my original post because management would use two of the uplinks of 1 GB instead of a slice of the 10 GB ports. Configure the management in an Active configuration with two vmnic and use the default policy.

    Kind regards

    Paul

  • Generation of series in multiple channels

Hi forum, I need to ask a few questions. Any help is appreciated.

    (1) I need help with the generation dynamic series in several channels. Here, we can see how the dynamic data set generated by a single channel. But I can't find anywhere, how to generate several series signals in multiple channels.

    (2) what is the limit for this generation series? I think it depends on the material, but I don't know, what is the limit. My hardware is SMU-6544.

    (3) it is possible to generate different signals in different channels using scripts? and to start the production in these channels at the same time? the example given in the script generation labview is unfortunately only for the generation of a channel.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kind regards

    Yan.

    Hi Yan,

Produce on several channels with multiple data is difficult without a tool to view the data, or series of each channel bitstream concatenated into a software ADE and transposed before be downloaded into memory.  To make Visual things here, I'll assume that you want to generate a pattern of 3 bits on sample of channels 0, 1 and 2 is 8 wide.  Assume the following models of the series bit for each channel:

    ch 0: 0101 1010

    CH 1: 0000 1111

    CH 2:0100 1101

So the question now is, how do you load this in the SMU-6544(or any other HSDIO hardware)?  Of the two options, you can use Digital Waveform Editor (NEWS) to create visually and save to a file type HWS then load a DJ using the API HSDIO.  It is the easiest in my opinion.

The second way is construction examples of data based on a basic example.  I want to say is you take it all binary streams and built a 2D table so that it looks like:

    01011010

    00001111

    01001101

An array of 3 x 8 and then transpose the table that turns into:

    000

    101

    000

    100

    111

    011

    110

    011

Here you can see we have 8 lines, each line is a sample, and in the form of U32 read in decimal, you get 0, 5, 0, 4, 7, 3, 6, 3.  That's what you can load into our niHSDIO U32 function write a waveform.  I hope you can see how this translation occurs and how it looks like in terms of load on the jury.  Each sample usually contains data for all channels, where each bit in the U32 is one of the 32 channels available on your device.  So if you want to write a '1' on Channel 5, you would load a value of 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0010 0000 in the form of sample, where the 5th bit is 1 and all the other bits 0.  In decimal, you would write '32' value.

With regard to the limitation of the size of series, if your flow rate is slow enough you can disseminate and make an almost endless stream, but assuming that you are running at the maximum rate, your series of waveform size is limited by the size of your on-board memory.  Since each sample generation is 32-bit, which is 4 bytes for example, if a memory size of 32 MB will correspond to 8MS bitstream series max.

For any questions or comments are welcome.  Thank you.
