http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7
Windows 7 64 bit comes in handy when you need to deal with at least 4 GB of RAM or more. Windows 7 32 bit can use up to 3.2 GB of RAM. Because the address space of memory is much larger for 64-bit Windows, this means that you need two times more memory than the 32-bit Windows to accomplish some of the same task, but you are able to do much more, you can have more apps open, do things like run a virus scan in the background it will affect the performance of your system. 64-bit Windows 7 is safer too, malicious code cannot easily infiltrate it, drivers are more reliable because they must be signed before it can work with 64 bit Windows 7.
Regarding compatibility, you need device drivers 64-bit hardware devices, you may have. In addition, there is no 16-bit subsystem in Windows 7 64-bit, which means, your applications must be 32-bit only, not 16-bit Installer or programs uninstaller. Also, if you decide to switch to Windows 7 64 bit in the future, there is no way to upgrade from 32-bit Windows, clean install only.

Qosmio G20: I want to change the operating system, but I can't do it.
Please help me and I will be grateful
Hello
Of course, you can change the operating system and install another I wonder what OS you prefer? :|
I think that you can not install the new OS because the HARD drive is not visible. Am I wrong?
Fact is that the G20 series supports RAID functionality. You must install the RAID driver before you continue the OS installation procedureThe RAID driver can be downloaded from the European pilot of Toshiba page and should be included in the operating system using an external USB FDD drive.

I highly recommend that you do not have it.
Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the

do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
What software record cleaning suppliers are trying to convince you,
have unused registry entries is not really make you hurt.The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake

use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
good deal.

Helps the Vista system recovery
Hello.
I have Vista on my desktop. Recently, a friend told me that I was able to connect my Xbox 360 to my pc via ethernet. I did, and of course, it did not work. I've disconnected and ended up with something like "the file calculated checksum does not match" or something like that. I havnt been able to access the windows since.I followed the instructions for the Vista system recovery. Downloaded 64-bit using the binding and the ISO burner. Basically, when it says "Press any key to boot from the CD/DVD drive" I do, but instead to load the screen of Windows recovery process, I usually get an error with this screen below "Windows cannot recognize the digital signature for this driver" once or twice he managed to get that load the files on the disc but then goes back to "press any key...". "and when I do I get 'checksum of the file...". "or whatever. I keep going in circles!
So, that being said... I don't know what to do. Help, please! Thank you!!!
If I understand you correctly, you have downloaded a startup repair disc, NOT a Systrem recovery disk to put it back to factory settings.
Here's how to do a startup repair disk:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vista Media recovery obtaining and/or using the Vista recovery on your computer Partition to perform a recovery to factory settings.
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
They will tell you how to do this.
Every computer manufacturer has their way of doing recovery disk/s.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

Backup of the Vista computer error
Windows complete PC Backup 64 Business impossible. The disk error 0 x 800 80005 stops the backup every time. Regular file backup works fine and the timeline for the 500 GB ESATA drive. I made the suggested registry checks and disk maintenance tasks. Nothing has changed the appearance of the error.
I want to make a backup of the computer, because Vista start not right. It starts slowly. After about 20 minutes, he finished his commissioning and works very well. Also, event viewer said always the registration Service is not started and does not work. My motherboard is the ASUS P5N-E SLI with 8 MB of RAM.
Hello
· What is the exact error message/code you get while taking backup?
· Are you trying to backup a drive hard or CD/DVD?
· For how long is your computer running slow? You did it changes on your computer before this problem?
This problem may occur if you close the backup progress dialog box before the end of the backup.
You can try taking the backup and do not close the backup progress dialog box after the insertion of CD/DVD discs or after connecting the hard drive.
To improve the performance of the computer, perform the clean boot and check if the computer is working properly. Clean boot will start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs and eliminate software conflicts.
The following link has steps showing how to perform the clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
(1) perform the clean boot (check the link to perform the clean boot).
(2) enable half the services.
(3) determine if the problem comes back.
(4) enable half of the startup items.
(5) determine if the problem comes back.
(6) repeat the steps above until you find out which program or service is causing the issue
Note: Please make sure that the computer is configured to start as usual according to step 7 of the article: how to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.

Use an existing drive - failed with the General system error
Hello
I have a 5.0 esx host. as soon as I created a virtual machine and installed an operating system.
Now, I want to have another exact copy of this virtual machine.
what I've done is therefore:
- copied hard and flat-vmdk vm1 files in another data store.
- in the Wizard "Select a disk" has created a new vm2 and chose to use the existing virtual drive (chose the path where I copied the vmdk files).
- When I try to turn on the vm2, it fails with "does not illuminate: General error has occurred."
What Miss me in the configuration.
Please note that I have so not vcenter server cannot use cloning option.
Thank you.
You will find may be easier to use the functionality to export the OVF template and deploy OVF model in the vSphere Client. Export the virtual computer off and when you deploy the same VM you can rename and choose the destination data store. The configuration will be supported and then you can customize just the required guest OS.

I have Vista with my dell desktop computer. I guess I got a virus that has deleted/messed my main hard drive. All of sudden my computer was dead and when I try to restart, I found I can't boot the system. I loaded the DVD for the resettlement of Dell to come with the computer and try to install it. But it shows "Disk 0 unallocated space" with 222 GB and 'Disk 0 Partition 2 Recovery' with 10 GB. I could not install Vista on the first, as it says "Windows must be installed on a partition formatted in NTFS.
How could I solve this problem? I could not allow me to format the drive because there a lot of data, that I just can't lose.
Any help is very welcome!
Marco
Problem with the recovery process, contact Dell at the link above.
It's recovery process from Dell, NOT Microsoft.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Try this to save your data:
Data recovery:
1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.
2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.
3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:
http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html
Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
Download the Vista software from the link above.
After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.
Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
See you soon...

I installed software and after a successful installation, I tried to open the software and it came with this system error: "the program can't start because d3drm.dll is missing from your computer.
