MD3000i dev survives no restart

My linux host is presented since the MD3000i with/dev/sdb.  I then fdisk there and together as and LVM type.  Then I create physical and logical volume:

pvcreate/dev/sdb1

vgcreate PowerVault3000i/dev/sdb1

lvcreate - name mysql01 - size 930.50 G PowerVault3000i

mkfs. XFS/dev/PowerVault3000i/mysql01

mount/dev/PowerVault3000i/mysql01/var/lib/mysql /.

After that everything seems fine, / dev/PowerVault3000i/appears in / dev

BUT after a reboot, this device is more appeared.  I tried to mount/dev/sdb1 but

Mount t xfs/dev/sdb1/var/lib/mysql /.

Mount: wrong type of fs, bad option, bad superblock on/dev/sdb1.

or too many mounted file systems

I get that.  The MD3000i does not support XFS or LVM, or am I just missing something simple here?

We have an application running as disabled storage node which acts also as a MapListener on a cache.
This application performs certain actions when entry inserted/updated to day occur.

However, we have observed that when there is network problem, the cluster service will be shutdown. And
This application will not join the cluster after that the network problem go away. Here is what we

According to this article, this problem could be solved using MemberLister.

Listener for events of cache recovery

If we implement the MemberLister, and we get MemberLeft event when the cluster service has obtained the judgment.
However, we receive no MoreRejoignez event at all when this application join the cluster.

The MemberListener has been added to the CacheService belong to the cache, we added the MapListener. It seems
the MemberListener don't survive that restart CacheService in this case, so no cases of MoreRejoignez received.

Now the question arises. What can we do to ensure that MapListener can survive restarting the cluster service
in our case? Or is there a way for us to detect that the MapListener is not valid more so one reattach necessary?

    Kind regards

    Chen

    Hi Chen,

In the thread of your monitor, instead of CacheFactory.ensureCluster () you can call cache.size () (on a cache that you added another to.)

    Kind regards

  • File deleted on esxi system after the restart with the last patch (256968)

    Hello

Since I installed latest patch on esxi (build 256968), every time that I reboot server esxi, I lost the files in / opt and the .ssh folder.

Before this patch, the files were still there on reboot.

Do you have any idea what's going on? Is this a new limitation of free esxi?

I ' am, using this file to VM backup with ghettovcb and everything works fine (until I reload )

    Thank you.

This is provided with ESXi, there is difficulty set of files, including any of the local VMFS volumes that are kept at the restart. There is a cronjob schedule that works for the configuration files important backup automatically at a local bootbank, which is then loaded after the next reboot, all files created by the user and most likely using the Busybox does not support console will not survive a restart by default.

If you use the ghettoVCB.sh - Free alternative for backup of VMS to ESX (i) 3.5, 4.x & 5.x , recommendation would be to store the script and all relevant files is the local VMFS volume or on the shared storage (NFS, iSCSI/FC SAN) volume.

There is a script in "/sbin/auto-backup.sh" that you can actually run to see what files are being backed up, you can easily modify this script to save additional files which will ensure that they are saved on a restart.

  • A USB device has exceeded the limits of its hub port power

Hello. a problem occurred while my daughter was using my pc. She is often in and out with his flash drive. I'm come home to find that she had swapped mouse USB cos the orig had stopped working. Same thing happened with the replacement and I got the above error message. Now the mouse has frozen and no USB device is recognized. thought I had a defective mouse but brand new purchased and all also died. Have tried to throw the mouse in all USB ports but none works.

I'm not getting no messages. My flash drive lights up momentarily when inserted then goes dead and does not appear on the list of Solution Explorer. I'll have to navigate in Windows using the keyboard only - a pain.

I tried to uninstall all USB devices through Dev mgr, then restart. Everything went through the reinstallation but no joy.

I have 4 in the back and 2 on the side front of the PC.

PC is a HP Pavilion, Pentium® 4 CPU 3 Ghz, 1 GB RAM, Windows XP Home SP3.

Can someone please help? I have followed several threads on the net, but none fit my situation.

    ' ppreciate it.

You can try to perform a restore of the system on the computer to the point while it was working fine and check if it helps.

Because the uninstall and reinstall all USB controllers on the computer did not resolve the issue there is a possibility that it's defective hardware device on the computer that is independent of the windows.

  • createChannel and company

int the documentation I read this:

'Creates a channel to push for the given application. When a channel is created, it will survive application restarts and therefore don't necessarily need to be called on each application start.

However, for a consumer application, since it is possible for the public/BIS PPG to destroy a channel in certain circumstances it may be advisable to periodicially re - create the channel (e.g. once a month).

A successful creation must have been made before calling this function.

This function must be called for an application to be able to start receiving impulses. If adestroyChannel is called, no shoot cannot be received until a createChannelcall is made again. »

This also applies for companies? What I have to re-create the channel to push?

You should not have to re-create the channel to push, even on BIS, it is very rare.

Ideally, it would be a little oversight. You can recreate channels that every X number of days, but more appropriate would be to control the time since the last thrust has been received. If this time is greater than what is 'normal for your app' then it can be interesting to recreate the channel.

For example, if your application provides several updates daily, then after 2-3 days of no push coming, it can be interesting to try to recreate the channel. However, if you simply push a weekly bulletin, it may be preferable to wait 15 days with no pressure before recreating. It really depends on the context of the application.

An easy way to keep track of the time between is to exploit Local storage when help arrives to record just the time and use that time to compare to when the next growth comes in.

Ultimately, however, the BIS and BES channels should persist for the lifetime of the application on a device, there is that a few cases that might occur, it won't hurt to watch.

  • USB connection dropped on reboot

I'm on the merger 7.1.1. and OS X 10.10.3. In earlier versions of the Fusion and OS X, USB connection would survive a restart of a Virtual Machine (Windows 8.1 in my case).

What is happening now is that everytime I restart the VM, the USB connection is lost and must be reconnected manually. The device is a USB from Panasonic adapter.

Any ideas how to solve this problem so that the machine reconnects automatically on a reboot as was previously the case?

    Thank you very much

    Jim Strong

    Hello Jim,

Please take a look at your USB to your Virtual Machine settings.

To do this, go to menu 'Virtual Machine'-> 'USB & Bluetooth'-> 'Settings USB & Bluetooth'-> put a check mark in the box on your device and in the last column, make sure that it is set to 'Connect to Windows' and not 'ask what to do '.

    Hope this helps,

  • Difference between persistent messaging and messaging is not persistent

    Hello

I have a confusion related to persistent Messaging.

According to my knowledge, the message becomes persistent if the JMSDeliveryMode flag is set

SO what - this by defalut?

Where stored for instant messages for non - persistent messages.

    Thanks in advance :)

Persistence of the message is defined by the attribute of mode of delivery for the producer in the JMS message client or it can talk together on a basis of messages in the send operation. The default value for the mode of delivery to the producer of the message is PERMANENT.

WebLogic JMS has a function to override the shipping method defined by the producer of message. This is the configuration of the Destination where there is an attribute called the Mode of delivery replace which can take the values:

Not provided: Mode of delivery of the message producer is not overridden
Persistent: All messages are marked as persistent regardless of the message setting producer
Non-permanent: all Messages are marked as non-persistent regardless of the message setting producer.

All non-persistent messages are stored in the memory in case of normal use. If there is a stack to the top of messages, weblogic moves the body of the message the disk in what called a store of pagination for the JMS server, keeping only the headers of the message in memory. The characteristic of non-persistent messages, is that he cannot survive server restart. If these messages even when they are on the disk in the paging store custom survive restart of the server.

  • The link on cRIO speed settings do not survive restart

I'm running a cRIO-9068 with firmware revision 1.0.0f1.  It is part of a static network including setting on autonegotiation link speeds.  However, if I put the cRIO to autonegotiation link speed, the cRIO fails to connect to the switch.  Fail lights and pings on the cRIO and switch activity doesn't show any activity.

Curiously, the cRIO connects successfully when I set the connection speed to 100 Mbps/Full duplex or slower, and it is an acceptable workaround for me (for as far as the requirements of the project creep beyond 100 Mbps).  My problem is that this link speed setting does not survive a reboot cRIO.  After the reboot, the connection speed is reset to auto-negotiation and the cRIO is disconnected once more.

I'm doing the link configuration changes via web interface of the cRIO speed.  I am logged in as an administrator and save my changes, and I get confirmation that the speed of the link has been set at 100/FDX.  Despite this, restarts always resets the cRIO to auto-negotiation.

Another curiosity is the ratio of the switch that the cRIO is connected to 100/HDX.

I tried to make a file of script in /etc/init.d with the command "ethtool speed 100 duplex full s.  I have updated using update - rc.d, but no joy.  Any script OR bat mine is either not using ethtool, or it is not dans/etc/init.d.  I don't know what else to watch because no where else to look at.

Change the setting of switching to 100/FDX has solved the problem, but this setting is applied to individual ports.  This would force me to always use the same port for the cRIO, a restriction which I've had rather not commit.

The problem is obviously the switch, because the cRIO connects to my development computer fine with auto-negotiation framework.  Unfortunately, the switch is a component not negotiable material project.  The fix should be done on the side of things cRIO.

Any thoughts on why the cRIO doesn't remember it's link speed setting?

    Red evening,

I found a known bug with this problem reported for LabVIEW 2013. I did a little test with LV 2014 shows that it is work as expected.

You can try to upgrade to the latest NOR-RIO device driver? I could not find the details of it being fixed, so I don't know if its on the side of the LabVEW or the driver but its worth a shot.

Car # is 464089 for your records.

One last thing, you should switch to RIO 14.0.1 because there was a bug with disocvered with some components in the FPGA that fixed us that you need to upgrade.

Please delete "Little Snitch" and see if the panic stop.

Any third party software that is not installed on the App Store or by drag-and - drop in the Applications folder and uninstall by drag - move to the trash, is a modification of the system.

Whenever you delete changes to the system, they must be eliminated completely, and the only way to do this is to use the uninstall tool, if any, provided by the developers, or follow their instructions. If the software has been removed incompletely, you may redownload or reinstall even to finish the job.

I never install modifications of the system myself, and except as stated in this comment, I do not know how to uninstall them. You'll have to do your own research to find this information.

Here are some general guidelines to help you get started. Suppose you want to remove the so-called "BrickMyMac" (a hypothetical example). First of all, menu using the product, check if there is one, for instructions. Not finding here, look at the Web site, let's say www.brickmymac.com. (Maybe it's not the name real site, if necessary, search the Web for the name of the product). If you don't find anything on the Web site or in your search, contact the developer. While you are waiting for a response, download BrickMyMac.dmg and open it. There may be a request here as "Uninstall BrickMyMac." If this is not the case, open "BrickMyMac.pkg" and look for an uninstall button. The uninstall program can also accessible by clicking on the button customize, when one exists.

Back up all data before making any changes.

Generally, you will need to restart the computer in order to perform an uninstall. Until you do this, there may be no effect, or the unpredictable effects.

If you can't remove the software in any other way, you will have to erase and install OS X. Never install any third party software, unless you're sure you know how to uninstall in the contrary case, it can create problems which are very difficult to solve.

Try to remove the complex system of changes by hunting for files by name, often will not work and can make the problem worse. The same goes for 'utilities' as the 'AppCleaner"designed to remove software.

You have the misfortune to have a model identifier 6.2 MBP that GPU problems. There was a program of replacement card logic on these models, but that has expired.

To resolve this problem, you can have the logic board replaced at your expense.

As a temporary measure, you can download and install this application:

    https://gfx.IO/

This will cancel the discreet GPU and run the MBP using only the built-in. This will result in a decrease in the graphics performance.

    Ciao.

  • iMac freezing and automatically restarts randomly

    Hello

    Hello

I'm a new mac user. I got an imac, but I'm having problems from the beginning.

Freeze the computer when using and automatically restarts randomly.

iMac 27 inches, (end of 2015)

    3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 - 8 GB RAM - 1 TB FusionDrive

    AMD Radeon R9 M390

    OS X El Capitan 10.11.3

I brought the computer to a genius bar. No known hardware issues. They reset the mac to factory settings, but already during the first launch of configuration, the computer froze again. For a few days, everything was ok while the problems started again. I only certified software: printer Canon and Adobe Creative Cloud. I tried to change the position, to connect the mac to the router with the cable to the same WiFi spot left offline, but the problem persists. sometimes with intervals of 2 hours to others 4 times in an hour. Write an email, with safari or even left (do not use)

I tried new Apple Diagnostics and disk utility both without errors even if disk utility displays more ssd.

The console since the last crash log:

Please launch the Console application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

    In the Console window, select

DIAGNOSIS AND diagnostic USE information reports ▹ System

(not diagnose them and use Messages) in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

    in the menu bar.

There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points downwards. You will see a list of reports. A report of panic has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends with ".panic." Select the most recent. The content of the report is displayed at right. Allows you to copy and paste to validate all of the content, text, not a screenshot.

If you don't see any report, but you know, there was a panic, you have chosen diagnostic and using the list of Log Messages. INFORMATION on the USE of DIAGNOSTIC AND choose instead.

In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you change the UUID ' anonymous, ' a long string of letters, numbers and dashes in the header of the report, if it is present (it cannot be). "

Please do not post other types of diagnostic report.

I know that the report is long, perhaps several hundred lines. Please report all this anyway.

When you post the report, an error message may appear on the web page: "you have included content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

  • Black screen after restart of the Bootcamp Assistant

    Hello

I understand that 10 Windows is not supported with the MBP Late 2011 officially by Apple, I have it working earlier today and had no problems at all. I tried to add another partition for windows side so that I would be able to install Deep Freeze on Windows have a clean install of Windows every time that I boot in there and have all my programs and files on what would have been called "Local D.

I deleted the Windows partition and I deleted the first player who had only 200 MB normally created from windows which I believe that holds the MBR for the old Windows Installer install. I tried to create 2 different partitions in disk utility and that the load bootcamp. He said well obviously not, because the reader must be around to do this, I did the road together again, put my Windows 10 disc in and let bootcamp.

I wanted the reader to have 51 GB of bootcamp, that I would use 300 GB for the 'Local D' drive and the rest of the SSD 1 TB drive, I got OS X El Capitan. If at this point, I have X amount of GB to OS X and 51 GB will be used so that the wizard has done for me, once the wizard bootcamp is made, it will restart OS X and brings me to a gray screen. Normally, it's just going to continue in the installation of Windows, but it takes me to a black screen and does nothing else. Is this by far where can I fix? I even tried simply to launch the installation of Windows Installer directly from the drive itself without going through installation of bootcamp by holding ALT and selecting the drive and he finally took to the installation without any problem and now it goes to a black screen and does not change even.

And for those wondering, no I do not get a flashing cursor in the upper left corner of my screen. Its completely black.

You have deleted the EFI Partition from Mac. Not a very good idea. She does not hold the MBR. Your Mac uses a hybrid MBR. The MBR and the boot for Windows Manager are two separate entities.

Disk utility is now considered an invalid drive due to a missing EFI partition. How did you again the reader "XV"? If you start from W10 in the optical drive, it is no Bootcamp involved more.

Please after the release of the following Terminal commands.

    diskutil list

    Cs diskutil list

    sudo TPG - vv - r see the/dev/disk0

    sudo fdisk/dev/disk0

The "sudo" commands will prompt to enter your password, and there do not appear to come back. You can also see caution against improper use 'sudo' and the potential loss of data due to an "abuse" of the order.

  • Automatically restart vi Express following error

    Another newbie question, I'm afraid...

I am writing an application that will spool the data in a spreadsheet for a period of time which may turn out to be several weeks or months.  I have stated the application of redundant data to ensure that I could survive a power failure in the quite inevitable cases where it occurs in that time.

Which is all went well, now that I have worked at several problems with the formatting of data, so I put the program in place through a trial period last week and (Fortunately, I suppose) the power exploded.  Since the vi runs on a laptop, the battery kept things up that power relit, and the vi never stop.  However, because the hardware logged a loss of power (unlike my example below, the material uses a cDaq chassis), the program threw a pattern of error and things unmanaged stopped, waiting for user input before allowing data collection to restart.

I'm looking for a way to handle errors, then, such that they will not stop the program from running.  Instead, I just want to go to a routine that waits for a bit and then resets the Express vi, management errors that are likely to be out error even once if the power of the material is always off.  I use a method that would make a controls programmer scream machine, but for the most part I just watched part of the status of the error on the cluster, commissioning an indicator if a fault is detected and also some time of start of loop that contains nothing other than a timer.  It seems to work for most; It allows, at least, the vi to continue to operate without crashing when I pull the plug on my USB-6008, which runs behind the Express DAQ.

When I plug the device back in, however, the State of the loop resets (if I have the probe in the schema it reads, 'FALSE') but does not restart the acquisition of data Express and the ERROR indicator does not clear.

I'm guessing that there is a very simple way to update the status in a way that the elements of program downstream can see, but do not know.  Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Danielle

In the user dialog functions, there is a function of manifest error that you could put in the delay loop... You can add a constant error to create in the error in the DAQ thing... maybe that would...

If you want to get real cute... can take the case of the error and decluster the error to another business that manages the specific error number... Use the handeling General error function and set it to clear the error when it matches the number you get when the system breaks down... Or just delete all of them and see what happens.

Sorry... I have no data acquisition on the machine, here, try it.

    Hope that helps.
