• Satellite Pro L300 Windows 7 Upgrade - DVD player no longer works

  Hello

  I upgraded my Satellite Pro L300 Windows Vista to Windows 7 a few months back, now, I noticed the Player DVD no longer works! All ok in Device Manager, but the habit of reading anything.

  I have use a Toshiba Windows 7 upgrade disk that could be my problem. I used the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and Windows 7 Ultimate disc.

  I tried to download and install the latest Windows 7 32 bit DVD Toshiba drivers but still no joy.

  Can someone advise procedure I should follow to correct, if I need to downgrade back to Vista, hope not!

  Do you have problems with some specific discs?
  Original music and film discs are readable?

• Media Player 12 is not playing music through all before only speakers (5.1) 2 & void.

  Once I've changed in XP to windows 7, I have not noticed Media Player no more playes music through all 5 speakers.  The system is configured correctly, and DVD in 5.1, but no music more plays.

  I read that vista has a tab under the speaker Configuration to allow 'fill improvement', but it's not in Windows 7.   As I noticed this problem I installed the drivers for my audio hardware, but still no option anywhere to play music on the speakers.

  How can I fix it?

  If you have an audio device realtek hd, you can go directly to the site and get the most recent update.  It tends to be more up-to-date than what Microsoft pushes.  From my experience with Realtek and Windows 7, it makes a big difference to get the most recent drivers from them.

  Are your speakers connected directly to your computer or you are using an optical output to a receiver?

  Do you know what type of audio device you have?

  IF you are connected to a receiver, do not forget that the DVD is integrated with the encoding for if there is something to your receiver to surround sound.  You need something to take 2 channels of audio and turn it into surround sound before being recognized.  You CAN turn his 2 surround channels simulated on most receivers clicking through the dolby settings, but the question remains that everything worked fine before the upgrade.

  Insofar as this change in the upgrade from XP to 7, it looks like a driver problem.  WMP is designed to recognize the encoding it is fed, but not to assign any what additional coding.  Your driver will be award any additional improvement and manage the allocation of the audio to the appropriate channels.

  -As I mentioned above I have do graphics, this machine is mainly intended to browse the internet, maybe a few docs world, does not make the 9 million presdec, I quite understand this concept.

  but it has started to overheat, I speak not a little hot, I mean completely illuminated, that much you can cook an egg on. not only by the machine, but also the power supply. remembering this machine is always less than 2 months.
  The heat was intense it burns a rectangle perfect on my old girls arm of 3 years.

  -discuss with my wife not to sue for defective and dangerous appliances I phoned customer service and spoke to a very nice gentleman who was happy to help.

  Excellent laptop get picked up and taken to get fixed - SEE NOTES of CUSTOMER SERVICES.

  I was as considerate as I re-formatted the machine and all the essential tools on the desktop, you know the Control Panel, system settings ect. and even made a nice jpeg scheme where the faults are "because I know how off a pain in my teeth, it can work on the side of the tech and anything I can do to help"

  Jump forward 6 months later, just before the manufactures warranty runs IRONICALLY.

• 3D, eliminated the Sony S790 BD drive

  The latest 3D app disappeared (without notice) the player 3D 790.  Now, there are NO 3D for purposes of demonstration applications. And without access to Netflix 3D.  Hey Sony!  I bought this drive for... 3D!   Customer service has no knowledge of any firmware update to allow access to Netflix 3D.  Gee... I've only had the player for a few months and now (with the exception of Blu-Rays) there is no 3D.  And they have also fallen by CinemaNow.   I will NEVER buy another Sony product.  When I UHD, it will be Samsung, LG... Another thing that "we do not support our products" Sony.

• Tried 6 times to install Flash player on Firefox. Having read all your H ELP. When I install, I get a notice stating that I managed to install, but that's not true. I disengaged adblock and antivirus. What should do?

  Flash Player works on Internet Explorer, but not Firefox. I am trying to install
  Flash 10.3...

  There are two different versions of Flash, ActiveX for IE version and the version of the plugin used by most other browsers.

  1. download the Setup file of Plugin Flash version here:

  Save it to your desktop.

  2. close Firefox using file > exit
  
  Then check the Task Manager > processes tab to make sure that firefox.exe is closed.

Moved this year on the campus of the University and since then (using the University proxy server) install windows updates is no longer. It's a new laptop me issued by the University last year, is come pre-programmed with Vista and Office, Media Direct and other programs, most of which I didn't use.  Technical support here at uni cant/wont help... can you?

  You are able to update of AVG?
  Any other antivirus (i.e. Norton, McAfee, etc.) has already been installed on this computer?
  When you say 'Nothing' that you tried to install?
  If you disable AVG and then run Windows Update you get a different outcome\error?

  I get the pop-up message following when I go to use something that requires the Flash Player. The message begins with the text, that I'm unable to copy. The following is the only part of the message that I managed to copy.  I'm afraid to download it, because I've eliminated a previous hard drive of the computer by downloading what I thought was legitimate Adobe.  I think I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player and Google chrome allegedly updates as needed.  Has anyone received the following pop-up message?   I get the following error message:

  The instructino at 0x71a30000 referenced memory at 0x71a30000. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program.

  For some Web pages, clicking ok will cause the error msg to disappear. For most of them, like the pages of Amazon, the error msg will make a loop, that is, I click OK, then the box appears again.

  It started immediately with the latest version, Firefox 15.0.1. I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin, nothing helps.   NOTE: We suggest to install the application on the primary drive however, you can configure the destination of installation of in creative cloud application preferences. Please note that there will always be shared resources stored on your primary drive. In addition when installing temporary process files will also be created on your main drive.

  If you have already installed Photoshop and Lightroom, you will need to uninstall and do location changes to Creative Cloud Desktop app after that, restart the machine and now install Photoshop again once and it should install on you new chosen location.

  So, now when I run Safari to watch a movie on TCM, I get the message that it requires Flash Player.

  I already have Flash Player.

  I read that I can activate it, but no instructions available on how to turn it on.

  I've never had this problem before about 3 weeks back.

  There is no problem when using Google Chrome or Firefox.

  This problem can be fixed, or should I just use other browsers?

  I noticed that there are times when an image is not visible in Safari, but is

  If it does not play a specific media type, then you probably don't want play anyway.
