Media Center Windows disable alert 'No TV Signal'

I have a Windows 7 x 64 media center PC with 2 tuners Haupauge 2250 PCIex a double tuner, and a 2650 dual tuner USB w / card connected to Comcast cable.
Two tuners work very well. The 2250 PCIex has no cable card, so it only gets clear QAM signals. Of the 2650 GETS clear time and encrypted QAM.
I receive many NAGs "no TV signal. How can I disable this Nan? It always saves the show on which he nags.
Is there a way to just disable all of these unnecessary NAGs?

  • Windows Media Center will not receive a TV signal

My Windows Media Center worked very well and I was receiving many channels of television to the present. This morning I had to uninstall my 2009 trend micro software and then install the software of micro trend 2010. All this went well and it had no effect on Windows Media Center. I then tried to watch TV and I get an error message saying: TV stations must be offline or check the attenna. I get channels on my regular TV so TV stations broadcast. I disconnected my attenna and plugged into a different attenna. Still nothing. I tried to reconfigure WMC for a tv signal and I get a message saying that nothing can be found. I try manually configure and I get a message saying that a Hauppauge WIN TV 885 is available but is not selected. So I guess there is a problem with the Tuner? Everything worked fine yesterday.

  • Xbox 360 connects to Windows Media Center (Windows 7-64 bit)

I can't get my Xbox to connect to Windows Media Center.  When I ran Vista it would work, but now that I am on Windows 7, 64-bit, it just does not connect.  The strange thing is that I'm able to share media from my PC to the Xbox without fail.  In addition, Windows Media Center has detected the Xbox on the network.  But for some reason, the Xbox cannot find the Windows Media Center.  It makes no sense at all.  I even tried disabling the Windows Firewall to see if it would work, but it didn't.  There is no other firewall in my home network.  Help, please.

    Hi Imautobot,

You may need to configure the Xbox extender for Windows Media center for Xbox to work.

Step 1: Get the key Setup of Xbox 360
    1. on your console, go to my Xbox, and then select Windows Media Center.
    2. follow the on-screen instructions.
    3. write down the 8 digit Media Center Setup key.

Step 2: Add an Extender on your computer
    1 start Windows Media Center.
    2. click on tasks, and then click Add Extender.
    3. When prompted, enter Xbox 360 8-digit setup key.
    4. complete the configuration of the Extender.

  • Xbox 360 slim crashes at connection screen media Center windows

I had windows for windows xp sp2 Media Center and I got the xbox 360 s connected to the computer. Everything is all connected and correctly configured, but when I try to connect to windows media center, it remains just to the screen where is says contact windows media center. These circles are still flashing so the xbox has not frozen. I waited at least 10 minutes and its still on the screen all the advice on what to do?

    Hello, bob4544353534

What security software do you use? (Antivirus, firewall, etc.).

Try restarting the computer and Xbox and try to reconnect.

If you use a third-party AV or firewall, remove the extender connection, disable the firewall/AV and then configure the extension once more.

For information about how to remove the Extender, check out the following link:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Use-a-Windows-Media-Center-Extender-device

Remember to re-enable your security software after the addition of the Extender.

  • WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER - WINDOWS 7 - COMPUTER CRASHES

Whenever I turn on windows media center to watch live TV, after about 10 minutes of watching TV, my computer crashes / turns off.  I have to hold in the power button for a while turns back on after that is the case of the computer. I get no error message, it's just completely off / hangs the computer.

    Dell Inspiron Intel Core duo

    Windows 7 Home premium

I got so sick of this, I spent the last few hours trying all sorts of things.

This seems to have solved that problem.

First of all, I went to my monitor of resources because of the above message on the video memory. I have never in line or running anything while I watched the live TV on windows media center. As I thought, everything was fine. I had a lot of resources free etc, but while watching I noticed my McAfee security software and decided to disable real-time scanning and firewall. (I never try to watch live TV on windows media center all in line.) I always turn off my network card when I'm not online anyway so felt ok with turning the firewall and scanning off.)

And guess what! for the first time since I use Windows Media Center, it has not crashed my computer. So, it looks like Microsoft and McAfee need to understand this. I tested it several times and each time McAfee is on and working when turned off, it blocks. It will be a headache to have to remember to turn it on when I go online and off when I want to watch the tv media Center in windows.

I suggest to have the people to do this step first before making do them all the steps you gave me above.  We hope to see some sort of update of Microsoft and McAfee for this question.

  • Using an ATI TV Wonder HD 750 PCIe and the Media Center can't find the analog signals of the conductor not to use a decoder

I just installed a diamond ATI TV Wonder HD 750 PCIe on my 64 bit Windows 7 system (it's actually the second tuner card I tried) and still get the same problem. Media Center recognizes the card and both tuners analog and digital, but fails the analogue listening. I get digital very well. I tried to add a channel manually and still no luck. I use cable TV with no cable box and tested the signal on my TV and receive all channels.

I also downloaded the latest Diamond driver and installed all updates more recent windows.

In Media Center, I tried to automaticlly and manually select my signal and each combination, but available with no luck.

    Can you please help

    Rob

Because, for an analog tuner, Media Center requires that said tuner is an MPEG2 Encoder (or that the manufacturer creates a software encoder which emulates this.)  The Theater HD 750 chip is not this, and it seems (after some looking) that ATI has not created a software encoder (side note: they are unlikely to do so, because they left the tuner market.)

Out of curiosity, what was the 'other tuner"which has been tried before?

Honestly, my recommendation would be to return the tuner (if possible) and get a combo tuner or hybrid that is known to work properly.  My first recommendation would be for a Hauppauge HVR-2250 (Council dual combo/hybrid), because it works wonderfully in MC as a tuner NTSC/Clear-QAM of combo/hybrid.  MC knows how to treat as what it is, and it works very, very well (I have not one.)

That, or an AverTV Combo G2 (which is not as flexible as the ' 2250, where its slightly lower price.)

    HTH,
    Chris

  • Media Center crashes when configuring the TV signal

I bought a new computer there with Windows 8 (64-bit) a month and set at level to Pro pack for the Media Center. I use a TV HDHomerun tuner that is connected to the network that worked fine on my old machine of Windows 7 and Windows 8 new machine until this week.  I noticed that a show than I had expected did not record.  I found that Media Center did not find a signal.  When I started the process of signal TV Media Center froze.  After several trials, Media Center not continue and set up a TV signal.  I get a popup that says that Media Center has stopped working and closes.  I also received an error in Media Center indicating that Media Center has encountered a serious problem.

I searched for this resolution and have not found one. I tried a clean boot and received the same error and crash.  I uninstalled Media Center, then reinstalled, which did not work. I also deleted files of database to let Media Center rebuild, which also did not work.  SFC \scannow comes out with no error.
Can someone help me please?  I feel I lost the $100 for the Media Center of the Pro Pack.  All of this worked smoothly in Windows 7.  That's happened?

If I can add my two cents to this, even if the thread is a year old, I have two tuners TV, one by HP and DIAMOND.  The DIAMOND is new and has not been tested with Win7, but the HP tuner worked fine with Windows 7, and it worked with Windows 8.1... once.  Now, whenever I try to use Windows Media Center to put in place my TV signal or watching television, the receiver service crashes, restarts and continues to hang until I have leave any action calls this service.

The Compatibility Center said that the DIAMOND tuner is compatible with Win8.1, but not the HP tuner.  However, the computer is a HP.

EDIT: Look in the event viewer and all ehRecvr.exe accidents are related to C:/Windows/SYSTEM32/vorbis.acm.  This file is associated with FL Studio.  I renamed the file vorbis.acm.bak and tried again, and made me the error.

  • Cannot connect to AT & T UVERSE installation to media center windows 7

Try to set up ATA & T UVerse box configuration of Windows 7 media Center. Setup is not going thru. This isn't beyond saying IR, display of learning... Any help

    Hello, ChaCol

What happens on the screen of infrared learning? If it does not recognize the remote?

Some users have reported success learn the remote control codes as follows:

On the learning IR screen, hold the remote control to the IR receiver. Keep the number, raise the remote to the receiver until it says "Release to continue button" then it away from the IR receiver. Hold down the key.

Make a minimum of two times until she is ready for the next button. If it takes more than 4 times (try an entry and confirm a try), then make sure that the remote control is not in the line of site of the receiver until the button is pressed for a second, and that when blocked to the receiver, it is no more than three inches from him.
