Media playback volume goes down when any usb device is inserted (REPORT of BUG)

Whenever I have plug in a USB device (iPhone / USB key) and I media play (video in the browser / media player / music etc.) device that plays the media has the volume automatically turned down to very low volume.

While I can increase the volume for the single device that is quite annoying... I have disabled the option of mixer to allow other apps to control the sound, but it continues to impose...
I think it of more of a bug than anything else, but happy to try and proposed the solution

Eeek just figured it out

Sound > playback devices > Communications tab
Change option to reduce the amount other noises of 80% nothing to do...
I think that Windows thought my iPhone was a communication device, even if I tried to load ;)

  • Windows crashes when any USB device is connected

    Hello

I have a laptop Dell Latitude D505 with Windows XP. Recently, whenever I plugged in a USB device, Windows would freeze and I have to hold the power button down to turn it off.  Since then, I tried to replace the RAM, re - install Windows on a new HARD drive and taking the other components (Wi - Fi, CD). I still don't understand why it freezes. Any ideas?
    Thank you very much!

  • What happens if the network goes down when the broker DataGurad (with fast failover) is configured?

    Hello Experts,

We have configured Dataguard in our environment, now anxious as the broker. But we have some queries.

    1. what happens if primary fails (failover or passage)?

2-if failover occurs, go back manually when the primary is available?

3-if Eve falls down, how would react broker?

4 - If the network goes down (for any reason) for some time, observer cant find primary and standby, how would he react then?

Please help me with your advice.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Vignacourt zerwali.

    Hi David,

Let me put in a way if I understand your question. So, you have broker + observer configured in your environment. FSFO occurred which means your watch becomes primary and is running. Then after some main real-time is alive and what will be the observer will do here. ? right. ?,...

If my interpretation is correct, here is the answer,

    (i) when the old primary remains alive, just bring up the State. The observer resets automatically (if its market) the database, bounce the old primary and synchronize with the new primary (i.e. your old database pending). But remember that your old primary will undergo sleep role yet...

    After the process described above,

(II) If you want that your old primary again, we have to do a manual failover to get your old configuration.

Hope he would have deleted you. !!

    Kind regards

  • Why the frequency of images in Photoshop CC 2014 goes down when I play the video?

I'm currently editing a video file in Photoshop CC 2014 and on the digital SLR camera, it says 30 fps with when you open the video in Photoshop. But when you play the video, the pace becomes red and goes down to 5 frames per second. It gets all confused. I have already edited a video with the same fps and quality in Photoshop and it worked well, but this time it won't work. I also tried closing and reopening already. Help, please.

If your computer cannot go as fast as playback, Photoshop "will fall" frames. If you play again, it should be a little smoother. In addition, you can adjust the playback quality less and more images are rendered.

  • My laptop goes down when I try to play games. Internet works fine however.

My laptop fell down while trying to play WoW, Civ, RATW, and Spore.I done a virus scan mcafee says the computer is clean. Internet seems to work very well as well.

    Hi DanielWilkinson,

    ·         You receive an error when the laptop goes down?

    ·         Have you updated with the latest drivers?

Check to see if the following is useful.

Method 1: Reduce hardware acceleration. To change the hardware acceleration, follow these steps.

    a. Click Start and then click Control Panel.

    b. click appearance and themes. Click on display.

Note: If you use Windows classic themes, use the next step:

    c. Click Start, click Control Panel and then click view. On the settings tab, click Advanced.

    d. on the Troubleshooting tab, move the hardware acceleration in the second position of the left and then click OK.

Note: The following message is the description for this slider control position:

Disable all DirectDraw and Direct 3D accelerations, as well as all cursor and advanced drawing accelerations. Use this setting to correct severe problems with DirectX accelerated applications.

    e. click OK to close the display properties dialog box.

Method 2: Log on to the manufacturer's Web site and update the laptop with the latest graphics card drivers. In addition, update the last chipset and other updates to the device driver.

  • What is the best/better way to reenumerate USB ports from a script? I need to emulate the same enumeration that occurs when a USB device is either plugged or unglugged to a USB port.

I'm working on a network to restrict access to the ISSO role USB mass storage, only. Management wants to access USB Mass Storage for ISSOs on all workstations while blocking access to USB mass storage to all others... on all the workstations. They also want to that USB ports remain available for everything except Mass Storage.

There are many ways to do it, but the only 'reliable' method, I found so far is to point the HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\UBSSTOR\ImagePath key to some fake file to block ports and rename it back to access it again.

To do this, I need to do things more two 2...

    1. make sure that the ImagePath key always has the false value at startup, and

    2. create a login script that affects the ImagePath value when a member of the ISSO group connects... and reset it when they log off.

Which meet the requirements of the direction if only it worked! The problem is that USB devices must be listed again to re-read the ImagePath registry key after each change. Reconnect the device will do, but it would be unwise to rely on a user to restrict access (fox/Coop).

The following Microsoft KB seems to be the way to go, but we do not have compilers on the network...

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/259695

I know that this hack to the system is not the most elegant, but I'm just trying to make the management happy.

    Nobody knows...

    1. any (more elegant) way to meet the specified requirement, or

    2. a way to re - enumerate USB devices from a script.

    Hello

Have you noticed yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager next to USB host controllers?
    Check it!

Even if the yellow exclamation points are not visible in the Device Manager I recommend to remove the USB host controllers and root device manager USB hubs and restart the laptop again.
Wait that all USB controllers will be recognized by Windows and retest your external USB devices.

  • Computer do not normally sleep wake up and the computer hang when external USB devices are connected

    Hello

I have a Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit desktop CyberPowerPC, and there are currently two problems with it:

1.), I have two USB ports in the front of my case. I am connected to my computer. Then I tried to connect my external hard drive using the USB cable supplied with it, but just at the moment where the end of the USB cable touched the port, the screen is black and automatically rebooted and froze when the display shows the brand CPU that is before the login screen. I actually press the restart on my case button to restart the computer with the hard drive already plugged. Then everything should work normally.

It's the same thing when I tried to connect my iTouch 2nd generation.

This problem occurs sometimes, however, but I wonder if someone always has a solution to this?

2.) whenever I put the computer to sleep and he remains asleep for a while and I turn it on it once again, powers for about 2 seconds then it turns off. I have to turn the power supply and light in the order so he could get out of mode 'sleep'.

I was wondering if you have solutions to this problem, as well.

    Thank you.

Original title: new Windows 7 problem

    Ok.. I'll try again...

The problem is caused by a bad 'ground' between the USB ports of the case and the motherboard. Static electricity is originally the USB device to short on the USB port which is originally the motherboard restart mode.

I had the same problem and got my computer case exchanged. The problem has not entirely disappeared, and I use the USB port on the front on the card reader, just in case.

It can also be a problem with the power supply or even the motherboard. It is very difficult to locate the failure without replacing in turn, a process that happens to be a bit expensive.

The above is the reason why I recommend that you contact the MANUFACTURER. Don't take no for an answer off the manufacturer or supplier. It is a problem annoying which can eventually damage your operating system if it is enough...

  • Malware can be transmitted through any USB devices

    Hello

Please excuse me if this is a silly question... I remember reading an article on the possibility of USB devices (such as keyboard, mouse, lamp) from malware if the QA on the device has not been made properly.  I know that it happens for USB drives, but I'm not totally convinced that he might happen to keyboard, mouse, switch KVM etc..

I'll share my keyboard and mouse between two PCs using a KVM switch.  One of the PC is very old and I don't know if it's totally clean or not, so I just wanted to know if it is a good idea.

    Thank you very much.

You cannot transfer malware using a keyboard or a USB mouse. You should feel comfortable using the KVM switch. However, if your old computer is on the same LAN as your new computer and file sharing / printing is enabled, make sure that both computers are clean in all cases.
