Media Player does not start after loading Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N
I have installed Windows 7 Ultimate N and wanted Media Player 12, so I followed the instructions and downloaded and installed the Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N and had no problems with the update. When I start Media Player I get an error message that says "Windows Media Player is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled. You want to install the player from the Microsoft Web site? ».
I'm running x 64 and double checked the update I downloaded was for x 64. I ran a scan SFC and he returned 100% complete without any problems. I try next?

I was upgrading my system Windows 10 free upgrade offered by Microsoft. After completing the download of the system has been installed. When close to 50% of the installation is complete the computer turns off because the battery has been cut. "When I connected on the power of the screen said" back to your previous version of windows. Then a message popped up that PC start up failed and u first "Startup Repair". I went for the option and a widow open saying: "Startup Repair is checking your system for problems... Attempt to repair ". This is the case for the last many hours and there is no progress. If I have to cancel it is said that Startup Repair cannot be cancelled. Please can someone tell me what I'll do. I created back to the top of one of my data.

Computer Toshiba laptop does not start after trying to install SP2 for vista 32 bit
Tried to install SP2 for vista updates, it stagnates at 12%, message saying a problem has been detected and windows has been closed to protect the computer. At the bottom of the error message screen, it reads, technical info-stop OXOOOOC1F5. Windows doesn't start at all now, has tried running safe mode, pilots seem to load, then it returns to the screen error message with the same problem said. Nothing seems to work, tried same recovery disk came with the computer, it says it is loading files, then it returns also to error message screen. Computer came with vista pre-installed, so I don't have this drive to try. Someone at - it solutions? Very frustrating, how do I search problem when the computer will not start at all? Help!
Follow the info below to try a Startup Repair:
As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.
If yours falls into the category above, download the ISO on the link provided and make a bootdisk of it.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista repair disc.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
There is not a disk of resettlement. And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

New player does not start after cloning?
I'm having some problems with my hard drive, so I decided to install a new larger hard drive. I cloned my drive C using Macrium Reflect Free Edition and at first, it seemed to clone OK although I noticed that the old drive was 10mgb of used space is superior to the other.
When I disconnected my old drive and I tried to boot from the new drive, I had a Manager directed black screen startup (?) asks me to insert a system disk and choose repair. Also, the screen said "boot selection failed because a required device is not accessible."
When I tried to start using the drive of W7, I got the same black screen.
If I boot using the old drive I see the new disk in drive F and it seems that all my files are there, and I can access, the data files and the system.
When I opened disk management, both drives are shown however:
Drive C (the old disk) Watch - healthy (System, boot, Page file, Active, Crash Dump. Primary partition).
Drive F (the new drive)) shows only - healthy (active, primary Partition).
Then of course some files, including the MBR were not copied. How can I copy these files to my new drive so that it starts?
Thank you
Tony
Thank you for that. I had problems to get the PC to boot from the CD using the W7 installation disc but I used the recovery disc Macrium and who recreated the MBR and now everything goes well :-)
Thanks again
Tony

My phone is lock and does not start after you install an update to Windows.
After you have installed the Windows Vista Home Premium on my laptop, I am unable to start my laptop properly.
Boots systems and load normally until the display of connection where instead of the login screen, I show the screen updated frozen on "Installing part 3/3 (0%) update." The laptop stays on this screen, with the cursor froze with a loading icon, for about half a minute until the screen shuts off and reboots the system, put the system in a loop, I can't on.
I tried: turning off on and powered. using advanced boot options to open the system to all types of 'Safe Mode' and leaving the laptop for some time before trying to turn on the system again. All these things have not worked and the system remains in the lock down.
I wonder if it is a common problem after the latest Vista updates or if it is more specific to my laptop. Whatever it is, any kind of feedback and advice would be most appreciated.
Thank you.

Original title: xp does not start after the installation of avira
I have a HP Slimline s7410
XP Home Edition SP3
I had Norton free with Comcast, but since I have no more Comcast became Norton expired. So I uninstalled Norton and installed the free version of Avira, he scanned the computer and it was clean. I went to reboot and now it does not start.
I have a cd/dvd drive of work.
I don't have an XP bootable installation CDMy system worked well until: I installed the free version of Avira
Whenever I select one on the XP advanced options options menu start, it goes into a boot loop.
I turn off the auto reboot system failure although it seems only work once, as the next time he's trying to start up it goes into the boot loop. Here's what my BSOD looks like:
Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities. Check the configuration of your hard drive and check the updated drivers. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.
Technical information:
STOP: 0 X 00000024 (0 X 00190203, 0 X 87174270, 0XC0000102, 0X00000000)Any help is greatly appreciated! :)
My first suggestion is to do a system restore at this time point.
second suggestion is to keep your external drive connected to the pc at all times. only detach when necessary. of course, it would be better to install a second hard drive in the computer instead. in any case, keep your personal files out of the system disk is a wise thing to do. You can also download and store files for free on the Microsoft Skydrive site.
third suggestion is to keep your system set upward through executing a check disk and Defrag at least once a month. Basically, you can open the Explorer and right-click on the drive letter. then select Properties, and on the Tools tab, you will have the opportunity to run the disk check. then reboot and do a Defrag. where this disk check fails, then you will need to run it to the drive via a bootable cd prompt.
Interestingly, I don't know if the bootable cd that you made you allows to run the disk check.
so my suggestion is to do a series of tests using your cd bootable your computer works. see if you can actually run a chkdsk/r at the moment with them. If Yes, then if your constant worries are having bad sectors on the hard disk, chkdsk/r will identify and mark so windows will jump on them. in any case, see if your boot at the moment media can run a check disk at all, and let me know.
fifth proposal is to install "microsoft security essentials" like your anti virus program. even if you have run ubantu, it is not likely to have been an infected copy. anti - are most critical virus for windows and not not so much for ubantu or linux is because windows is a system of world class operations. the people who make the virus deliberately their engineer for the windows operating system. If, however, ubantu and linux have been just as popular as Windows, virus engineers would make infections for the o.s. too. Although they no doubt, attacks are more frequent for the windows os.

Computer does not start after the screen goes blank &; Compaq.
Hello
A few weeks ago, I turned on my PC and it showed at the Compaq screen and then went to a blank screen & would not respond. I held the switch button to turn it off and after 4 attempts, it start fine. Next time, it took 20 attempts to initialize and now it does not start, it will be maybe if I try like 100 times he can do... The problem is when the Compaq screen comes up it comes only for like a second so I know that it does not start, if the Compaq screen stays for a few seconds as 3 + I know it will load windows and start.
History > the computer originally had XP and has been replaced with VISTA memory was 2 * 512MB, but it was a bit slow and I was advised to upgrade. I bought 2 * 1 GB memory and put it in my PC a few months there may be 5 + had no problem so far.
I tried the following:
Remove the memory and replace it. Remove the 2 * 1 GB of memory and its replacement by the Moose 2 * 512MB to check if the memory is at fault.
Cleaning of the dust around the fan (at this point, I removed the fan over the CPU and cleaned the thermal compound from the CPU to make it nice and shiny, only tried to start one time after that for a few seconds heard blowing fan and turend it took off. Depuis_lors, I realized that it wasn't just muck and had a purpose na derwiche put a little more on)
Remove the battery of the BIOS for half a day
Move jumpers CMOS from1, 2 to 2, 3 positions
I can not get into the same if BIOS start and hold F1 he will show me the BIOS for a second and then go to a black screen.
Specifications of the computer
Compaq Presario SR1629UK desktop PC

Dell inspiron 15011. computer does not start after the Windows XP logo window
2 works well in safe mode, even connect to the external monitor
3. I reinstalled xp many times, problem stil exist. All the answers?
Hi dhanushm,
- What happens after the Windows logo screen?
- You receive an error message?
- You have security software installed on the computer?
- Have you performed an installation clean Windows XP and even after that this problem exists?
Method 1
As the computer starts up fine in safe mode there is a possibility that some third-party programs installed on the computer is the origin of the problem.
I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See section to learn more about how to clean boot.
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State
