HP Dv6 6 c 50: laptop does not start after interruption of the upgrade of windows 10

I was upgrading my system Windows 10 free upgrade offered by Microsoft. After completing the download of the system has been installed. When close to 50% of the installation is complete the computer turns off because the battery has been cut. "When I connected on the power of the screen said" back to your previous version of windows. Then a message popped up that PC start up failed and u first "Startup Repair". I went for the option and a widow open saying: "Startup Repair is checking your system for problems... Attempt to repair ". This is the case for the last many hours and there is no progress. If I have to cancel it is said that Startup Repair cannot be cancelled. Please can someone tell me what I'll do. I created back to the top of one of my data.

Thanks in advance

From my understanding, you should not be able to see an image on the external monitor, until you start the operating system.  You can try to perform a system restore by using this document:

My Dell XPS 1530 stopped working after installing vista sp2. He gave me instructions for installation, step 1 of 3 and it went all that they way up to step 3 of 3 and said its closure and never came back...
Please let me know, how to start the laptop.

    Hello GoogleGuru,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers forum.
Because your computer does not start until the desktop computer, we were able to try the system restore to a point before you install SP2.
Thus, with the computer is shut down. Press the power button, then press on and press F8 until you see the startup options, and then it will give you the ability to boot to the last known good configuration. (select it).

If this does not work, you can try to boot from the Vista DVD and use the recovery console to perform a restore of the system to another point in time.

    Post back with the results.

  • Vista does not start after I disabled the service DCOMLauncher

Hi all.   I really hope that someone can help me with this, because I can't use my computer at all, and I have to use a notebook different to write this post.

The problem: Windows Vista does not start with the normal settings or Mode without failure.   To be more precise, after Vista starts, he has only a black screen and a limited mouse functionality.

The background & problem: I use Windows Vista Home Premium SP 2.   I have disabled the DCOMLauncher Service using the program Autoruns from Sysinternal.

What I tried: I tried to start Vista in Mode safe with no result.

Thanks to all those who are trying to help me.

When you choose Safe Mode choose last known good startup.

As long as your subsequent boots are deemed unsuccessful, which is perhaps not the case, this will start the configuration before using Autoruns.

    Safe Mode command prompt works?

    But it is not today.

    What should I do?

    Hello

This is a really bad story and I put t see any chance of getting the laptop works without any replacement hardware.

I think we are ve got the worst case. This means you have a short circuit that could damage the whole motherboard. :(

I think you should certainly contact the notebook computer technician for a control.

But it sounds really bad, Buddy :(

  • Acer laptop does not start after the blue screen

After I got a blue screen (flashed by too fast to see the error message) when I try to reboot my acer 5610Z laptop computer with vista home edition, usually nothing happens at all. sometimes windows is trying to run the Startup Repair tool, then crashes and only a cursor flashing at a black screen.  Tried to open the case and clean the Fan & Heatsink heat to air without effect.

The blue screen came a few days after I started using a new USB mouse, but the fan seemed to get high a few days earlier.

But I noticed it will make the road to startup repair only if the battery is in, and never if only the power cord is attached.  Also, if I let the computer sit for several days, it is more likely start (even though he never passed from the Startup Repair).

    1. try the system restore.

    2. try to do a startup repair disk.

    3 acer Recovery Options.

    4. contact Acer.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    See you soon.

If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:

As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.

As your grave in the category above, download the ISO on the link provided and make a bootdisk of it.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

  • Laptop does not start after upgrading CPU

    Hello

I have a dv2528ea and I decided to upgrade the processor and the RAM. According to the manual of the T8300 is compatible, so I bought one on eBay (so-called new). When I powered the laptop, the bios screen appeared as usual, but nothing more happens. Among the options available in this screen only works the "ESC" (boot messages I think). I can't access the configuration. The CPU, RAM, HARD drive and DVD drive is correctly detected, the BIOS and video BIOS are "shaded" don't know what it means.

I know that I didn't break something because after putting the T7100 back in place, the computer worked fine.

So my question is: is the burned T8300? Do I have a bios problem?

I've never updated my bios (since 2007) and the CPU is not physically damaged, but this last part can doesn't mean anything...

    Thanks in advance, Pedro.

    Hi, Pedro.

I hope it will do the trick.  F.0Une is old and I think that's the reason why your processor does not work.

The problem is that you are under Windows 7.

You can put Vista on it and flash, or do you know how to make a flash out of the file based BACK?

    I don't know how.

I'm saying that you are taking a considerable risk if you flash in Windows 7.

  • Re: My laptop does not start, it cannot detect the hard drive

I'm having the same problem but a bit different. I noticed that the support said to replace the hard drive and that's what I did with a disc Windows 8.1 and I took a step after test and see if my hard drive is not really usable. I put it in another computer that is also running Windows 8.1. It worked but my origianl computer still does not work, it says always "no drive detected". What the heck!

think at this point, the best thing to do for you what we call. It is perhaps that the computer is a little less than a year and is still under warranty. Whatever the case, a technical support professional phone can certainly discuss your options with you.

What you can do, is to use the following link to create yourself a file number, then call and it can help to expedite the appeal process:

Step 1. Open the link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter the product number or select Auto detection
Step 3. Scroll up to "still need help? Fill out the form to select your contact options.
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: contact HP options - click Get phone number

File number and phone number are displayed.

    Hello

That sound great for the hard drive.

With regard to the problem you have with Windows activation, it's because your laptop is listed as originally came with Windows 7 Home Premium - as I mentioned in my guide for the creation of a sale installation disc at retail, the image that you use needs to be also be Home Premium - IE you cannot move to professional or ultimate edition as the key on your COA label will not work for a different version of Home Premium and there is no way around that.

The image that should be used is on the following link.

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

You will need to create another disc of installation using the above Image and then use it to reinstall Windows 7 - the activation methods I described previously, then will work fine.

    Kind regards

  • Laptop does not start after Windows update

I have HP laptop with Windows 8.1.

It no longer starts after you install updates.

It has happened before several times. I used system restore and it should correct the problem temporarily until the next time for the installation of updates.

Now I can not even run system restore. He says that I have an administrator account.

    Help, please.

The process I'll tell you will solve the problem, but it leaves a few effects. All the installed update will be uninstalled the version they had when you have installed 8.1 windows and programs in your programs (x 86) NO program file in the C: drive or the drive where windows is installed must be UNINSTALLED. The uninstalled programs will appear on your desktop as Applications.HTML removed. If you have any problem with the effects that I mentioned that process as follows:

    1. at start up press F11 to enter recovery.

    2. go on recovery to solve problems.

    3. then in troubleshooting, click on refresh your PC.

    4. wait it ends (it takes about an hour)

    5. your system is restored.

    Hope this helps

I have a HP G60-126NR laptop. One day she was cold stone when I press the power button / stop. I unloaded the mothboard.  I then installed a new CMOS battery. I use the power supply to the power supply adapter. When I press the power button, I get nothing toally dead, except to show the light of connection. If I remove the CMOS battery, then discharge the motherboard again, then plug in, and the portable lights without power button / stop touching and goes into the Configuration screen to access in time. After time, it starts in Windows without a problem. SFC Windows scan shows no errors. If I stop, not sleep, the laptop died again unless I dump the motherboard and start from the square. In addition, I would like to say that when Windows is running, if I close the lid to put to sleep, you can see that the screen is still active despite change 'what happens when I close the lid. My diagnosis tells me that it needs a new motherboard.

PS: I flashed the BIOS off HP site thinking that it would solve my problem, but it has not...
