  • C:\Windows\mixer.exe appears when I turn on my computer first

Is what is coming up on my screen when I turn firstly my computer asks me to run, I have to, what is? If I should not the lance how can I get rid of him?

I do not have this file on my system, so it's probably a Vista file.  While in Safe Mode (press F8 repeatedly during boot to enter the mode safe mode with networking) try to run anti-malware programs because you are probably infected with some form of malware. Do NOT run! To correct this problem download, install, and run the following two programs: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php and http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html.  Once you find and remove it, you can stop the scan.  You can also try a free trial of Pandasoft (www.pandasoft.com).  Before you download pandasoft, uninstall all anti-virus program you currently use (because the installation and execution of two simultaneously can cause conflicts, freezes and all sorts of problems).  Once you have uninstalled your current AV program, download, install, update and scan using Pandasoft.  I think you might be amazed at how much she notes that other software missed.  Once complete, uninstall pandasoft and re - install your current AV program (unless you decide to spend that I did when I tried about 4 years ago).  You can also try the new, free Microsoft Security Essentials http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/default.aspx (with the same caveat that only program AV one ALONE can be installed and running on your system at any time). Restart after you have completed all the scans.

If these analysis and cleaning to solve the problem (if the box no longer appears), then we will check some of your system files just to be on the safe side:

Go to start / programs Alll / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run. It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well, it is completed with no corruption that he could not repair (cases of corruption, post here).

While we are here, we will check your hard disk by typing chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  It will scan and try to repair the bad sectors.

I hope that this will solve the problem.  If not, post it here and we will look at some other troubleshooting steps.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

If you have not had luck in iTunes (https://discussions.apple.com/community/itunes/itunes_for_windows?view=discussions#/?tagSet=1234) forum, uninstall and reinstall iTunes as described below:

To perform a "clean" iTunes installation uses this technique proposed, from Support of Apple HT1926 article.  (If you are using Vista, see THIS instead).

Go to control panel > Add/Remove programs
Remove these applications in the following order (do not restart your computer if you are prompted during this process):

    1 iTunes
    2. Apple Software Update
    3. Apple Mobile Device Support
    4 Hello
5 Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)

    6. iPod for Windows (this may or may not exist, be it, it is not necessary, then we can remove it)

    7. iPod Updater

    8 QuickTime

Open my computer > C: > Program Files
    Delete these files (if present)
    1 iPod
    2 iTunes
    3 QuickTime

Follow these steps if the message "cannot delete iPodService.exe: it is used by another person or program" appears when you try to delete the folder of the iPod.

    1. Make sure that you have iTunes and iPod Update utility are not open.
    2. Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete.
    3. Select Start Task Manager.
    4. Click the processes tab.
    5. Locate the iPodService.exe in the list.
    6. IPodService.exe-click and choose end process.
    7. Quit Task Manager.

    Empty your temp directory:
Open my computer > C: > Documents & Settings > username > Local Settings and delete the contents of the folder called "Temp".

If you don't see the local settings, enable hidden files:
Tools > Folder Options > view tab
Select Show Hidden Files & folder, and then click OK

Once this file is empty, restart the computer

NOTE: If you have trouble uninstalling applications, or if you have a problem, reinstall iTunes because the installer complains that it can not uninstall the current version of iTunes, see the 'Installation issues' section below.

Download & reinstall iTunes from here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

    Installation problems

There are several tools to deal with problems installing or uninstalling applications.  If you have these problems, the following should help.  Before using one of these tools (including #3), you must create a restore point from the system first (or back up the registry with C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT).  See http://windowsxp.mvps.org/registry.htm a complete disk image would be safer if you have this ability.

1 Microsoft has a program install and the resolution of the problems of the uninstalling which is supposed to "work better" and be "safer" to use the old Install Cleanup Utility (3 below).

    2. free Revo Uninstaller.  You can also download a trial version of uninstaller Revo's ' Pro', which has a few more aggressive cleaning options, but this should not be necessary.

3 Microsoft Windows Install Cleanup Utility.  Although this tool has been the preferred tool to deal with the problems of Windows Installer, Microsoft removed from Microsoft download servers because it seems sometimes deleted more than he was supposed to (I believe this was linked to Office uninstall).  You can still get Windows Installer Cleanup here--> http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html utility

  • active desktop recovery message appears everytime I turn on my computer, how do I get rid of it

I didn't add something back to one of my sites or web pages, my computer was left on and I guess that came into fashion "sleep" and was extinguished without being loged out.

I suggest you restore the system to an earlier date before the problem.

If this does not work a good cold start (make a start > Shutdown > Shutdown and wait that it to completely disable and then give 15-20 seconds and power back on) after correcting your office to be where you need it. If it does not work. I suggest to remove all the websites your ad, restart the computer, add them all back.

    What is the problem?

If your computer has not already been infected by virus or malware, it is probably now after you have downloaded and installed something of a site that wants to pay you $50 to remove something you didn't know you had until told this same site.

Do you mean that you have installed Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010?  Your subscription is up to date?

Similarly, you would update SUPERAntiSpyware before running a scan of your computer?

I'm not sure what you mean by '2 boxes.'  Do you mean that instead of characters for a file name, you see two empty squares?  In any case, download Autoruns http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx install it and let it scan.

When Autoruns analysis is complete, click the 'connection '.  Review them entered what whether that looks like "bad."  I can't be more specific, because you could not see that the name of which has been commissioning.  By looking at the name of the entry, its description and its publisher, you should be able to easily identify most of the entries in the logon section.  If you can't, either post the details of back here or do a Google search.

For any entry that does not appear to be legitimate, uncheck the box to the left of the entrance.  Close the Autoruns and restart the computer.  Messages should no longer appear.  Once you are convinced that you have disabled the correct entries, you can go back and use Autoruns to delete (instead of just deactivating).

I also suggest you analyzing your system with other tools.
Download, install, update and run MalwareBytes Anti-Malware.
Go to http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner and let it scan your computer.

  • When I turn on the computer, I get this message - COM + Event System has stopped working. How can I activate this return?

I had virus protection total defence installed. This occurred immediately after.

    Hello

Thanks for your answer to my question. I was about to start step 2, by performing a boot minimum when a message pops up informing that 2 programs were slowing down my computer and also to stop because they were also running. Ironically, these programs I've ever used has appeared on my computer advertising protection against viruses and to speed up the computer.

I did not purchase the license if it comes to start up all the 3 or 4 days telling me that my computer is slow.

I uninstalled both programs, which I won't mention for obvious reasons and the event system Com + message did not return after the computer has restarted 3 times. Apparently, the problem has been resolved, but I will continue to have oversight. If the problem returns I'll restart and inform you about the results.  Thanks again for your expertise. guavaridgemb

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

I understand that when you turn on the computer, you get an error message indicating that COM + has event system stopped working. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will certainly help the question of fixing.

Please follow the steps and check the question below:

    Step 1:

Check the event viewer for the logs of error from the links below.

    Open Event Viewer:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/open-Event-Viewer

What are the information in event logs? (Event Viewer):

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-information-appears-in-event-logs-Event-Viewer

    Step 2:

You need to perform a clean boot to prevent any third party conflicting application from interfering with your computer.

To put the computer in a clean boot state, you must follow the steps in the article mentioned below and check with the question.

How to perform a clean boot for a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: You must follow step 3 of the article mentioned above to recover your computer to a Normal startup after you complete all the steps.

    Step 3:

Scan your computer by using the Microsoft Safety Scanner by clicking Download now to check if there is no virus infected:

    http://www.microsoftsafetyscanner.com/

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    Hi Olliewoods,

    (1) since when are you facing this problem?

    (2) what is you receive the exact error message?

An application installed on the computer may be the cause of this problem; I suggest you try the following steps:

Method 1: Put the computer to boot to determine which application is causing the problem.

Follow step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.
