  • Massage "cannot Access Volume Control!" on my Satellite L20

I have this strange problem on my laptop Satellite L20-100 with Windows XP Pro pre-installed.
When I turned on the laptop this morning I got this massage WARNIG: "Can t Access Volume Control!", then I noticed that the (Windows) Volume control icon does not appear in the system tray of taskbar.

Generally, the sound works under Windows. When I go to control panel-> sounds and devices Audio-> Volume V is marked near the "place volume icon taskbar", I tried to deselect and score again. It still does not appear, if I can change the volume here (Panel-> Sound) and Audio-> Volume devices and it works, but when I try to change it with Fn + up/down the whole bar is red because he does not see the sound card or something.

I tried to reinstall the audio driver, nothing happens.
This actually happened before, the first time that reinstalling Windows helped, I think.
Anyone have any idea what should I do? Thanks in advance...

If this problem occurred suddenly have you tried to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool?

    Hello ErikG_787,

Have you checked for viruses or malware on your computer? Just remove any drive Windows should not give you this kind of symptoms.

You can download the Microsoft Safety Scanner and run to search for viruses and malware. Download from the link below:

    Hello

Have you noticed this on Toshiba pre-installed OS?

Hmm, this option is available on my Sat M40.
I mean it depends on the audio driver
But AFAIK the Realtek HD Audio effect software has been installed and placed under the control panel.

This utility must offer the same functions as the advanced sound control.

Sorry, but Captivate has never offered Thos options. At least not as options of the PlayBar. Captivate is offers an option for full screen, but you should choose at the time wherever you post your output.

If you want a Volume control, Captivate 5 offers a Volume control widget, that you can insert into the project.

What antivirus/antispyware/security products you have on your machine? Include everything that you never
a includes those that you uninstalled. (These can leave leftovers that can cause strange problems.)

A search for all most .cpl files will be in "C:\Windows\System32" However, you can have others.
Click on each of them at a time and see if we won't start – if so right-click on it and rename it using
cpZ as extension of the sort that we are to find. Retry Control Panel - if no joy persevering of all .cpl files.
(Note that other people find other subfolders under C:\Windows shouldn't be judged because they are not
    Active).

    Some of them are appwiz.cpl firewall.cpl, desk.cpl, powercfg.cpl, inetcpl.cpl, timedate.cpl and
    others.

Try these in case the General corruption has a role to play:

  • Can't access bios dv3500

I've updated my OS to Win 8.1 and while the operating system works very well - I can't access the BIOS during startup.  I made several tough stops and restarts and tried (F1, F2, F8, F12, DEL, and ESC) but I am unable to enter the bios.  Y at - it a workaround solution that will allow me to interrupt the boot to access the BIOS?

    Hello

Now try the SHIFT key when you click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.  Then away to the ESC key as soon as you press the power button and see if it launches the Start Menu - if this is the case, select the Bios Menu (f10) from here.

    Kind regards
