Message "CPU is not supported.

my CPU was upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10. Well, I did a reinstall flash drive system. So, when 10 windows begin to have pictures in it, I tried to install window 10 flash player, it wouldn't work. so I formatted my hard drive & reinstalled my windows 7 recovery disk and then upgrade windows 10 asked me to update, I said yes, now I get the message "CPU is not supported.

Last reply no where about useful! It is not a graphics issue or a multiboot installation

Hello

Please contact Microsoft Community.

I understand how frustrating, it would be, I suggest refer you to the suggestion given by Andre Da Costa in the mentioned thread:

    Hello:

I suggest that install you the upgrade from the DVD (authoring tool of your own from the link below - media Make).

The DVD will bypass the hardware checks.

Also, when you install W10 from the disk, skip verification of updates when you are prompted.

  • Error starting data recovery - "your CPU does not support long mode.

    Hello

When I turn on the VM data recovery, and after that he begins the boot process, it displays a message "your CPU does not support long mode. Use a 32-bit distribution"

Data recovery is installed on an ESX 4.0 update1 then the ESX is installed on a VMware Workstation 6.5.2 as a virtual machine in my home test environment.

My processor is a 64 bit CPU (AMD Phenom 9950 Quad-Core).

I wonder if this message is because the ESX is running in a virtual machine on the workstation may be that it not only Duke that the processor is a 64-bit?

Someone at - he of the idea?

    Thank you

    Marcos

You can run the 64-bit if clients your ESX is a virtual machine. VMware Workstation does not pass through the VT extensions that are necessary for the performance of a 64-bit as VDR host.

You may need to test if:

    (a) you run a review of 'good' (in terms of supported 64-bit comments) CPU (for example, several AMD chips have been officially ranked 'not kosher' VMware because of the inadequate support of segmentation) - see http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=1901 for more details.

    (b) AMD - V / Pacifica (VT if it is an Intel CPU) is not disabled in the BIOS of the computer.

  • When vga cable connection to tv message comes up not support on the TV screen

When connection cable vga to tv to the computer message comes up not support on the TV screen

There is a compatibility issue, which is that the TV is showing the signal it receives cannot be treated by the latter.

If my suggestion is to look at the manual of the television or the manual online for television at his homesite to get 'accurate' requirements to connect your computer to the television, including DPI

then see how you can get your computer to meet.

you might need a buy a specialty graphics card (this is xp compatiable) who has the ability to convert computer and output to the TV signal.   in others, the graphics card can meet who needs the TV.

  • Upgrading from Windows Vista Home Premium at 8 - CPU does not support NX

    Hello

I have Vista Home Premium (very probably OEM as it came with the PC) on a PC and I bought the upgrade license to Windows 8 Pro.
I understand that it is in terms of the license transition, but here is my problem:
The CPU does not support NX (and for sure there is no setting in the BIOS for this).
    So I can't move to 8.
To replace the CPU, I need to replace the motherboard.
If I replace the motherboard my understanding is I'm losing the license because it OEM.
So, in reality, I can't switch to Win 8.
The license, I bought said that I can pass any system running XP, Vista, Win 7 to 8 Win.
It does not distinguish between older versions of Windows OEM and retail versions.
For me, it's a huge conflict.
    So the question is:
Can I change the CPU + motherboard to earn 8? or not?
    Thank you
It has been some time but I finally had the time to do the upgrade (hardware + software).
For history and for others who could come on this post with a similar question and be discouraged by responses like this:
I contacted the technical support of MS and they confirmed that I had a Windows 8 Pro upgrade license and after upgrading my license would Win 8 Pro full-detail (what you want to call it). Essentially, after upgrade, I can reinstall any other motherboard. Of course you can only use a license on a machine at one time.
(Of course your upgrade license type may be different to mine, so you should check they type of license)
In any case, what is more interesting, it of that I got the confirmation that I can do a clean install and activate my upgrade license. Not only that, but they recommended the installation of Vista should not be present when installing on 8 to win. I was very skeptical and I asked for an account of the cat to be on the right side. They assured me that the support had made several times and is not a problem.
And so, I do a clean install on the new motherboard (and a new player) and activated windows 8 with no problems at all.
It seems very stupid that you can change the motherboard after the upgrade, but could not make the move and the Windows update at the same time. Fortunately, it is not the case.
To me, it seems that the MS are aware that in you to go from XP (soon), they should also use the materials for the upgrade.

The upgrade from Vista to Windows 7

I just bought Windows 7 upgrade Windows Vista. I get the error message: operation is not supported on this platform. What should I do to get this latest version in my computer?

Have you tried to do an upgrade installation or a custom installation?  A custom installation requires you to back up your files and settings with Windows Easy Transfer and then reinstall everything after installing the new.  If an update install does not install work, you need to do a custom.

In addition, a Windows 7 Anytime Upgrade will not work and you get a message from a platform if you have bought a UA and tried to use it with Vista.  Vista upgrade requires a detail, a copy in the Windows 7 box.

    Hello

always check the compatibility of vista programs on the link below

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/default.aspx

If a program is compatible vista you can try to download and save it on the desktop, then right click on the setup.exe, and then selecting run as administrator

It is not compatible with vista, you can try running it in a previous operating system mode

This does not work for all programs

  • Impossible to reinstall Lightroom 6 retail DVD.  Gives the error message "Windows Vista not supported."

After a horrible experience with the upgrade of Windows 10, I re-installed Windows 7 Pro and had to reinstall all my programs.  When I try to install the retail DVD of Lightroom 6 version, I got and error message that Lightroom does not support the Vista operating system.  This is NOT Vista; It is Windows 7 Pro x 64 SP with installed updates.  Installation stops there and will not continue!  I then reinstalled my old version of Lightroom 5.2 (who has updated to 5.7) without problem.  How can I bypass the installation process that incorrectly detects Vista?

Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.  I really miss my 6 LR!

    Hello

I have vmware esxi 4.0 installed on a HP dektop. I have already 3 VMS running (perhaps 32 bits), but today when I tried to install FreeBSD 64-bit and CentOS 64-bit, I get the following error "CPU mode is supported not long." or "use a 32-bit version.

Which is ridiculous because it is what came with the laptop!

    Any ideas or suggestions?

There is a update the BIOS of your system as dated March 2015 [F.60 Rev.A]

Although it does not specifically address your problem, it may be useful and HP 'recommend' the update.
