MF hangs at startup, but works in safe mode and a few minutes after I made a new user, can anyone help?

After a repair for a few hours, I don't always find a good solution. Actually, I've learned that if I create a user profile, with this command in windows Run: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" - p, I can open the profile user manually and create/delete menu a user new/UN-new, and the creation and use of a new, it works fine. Open the browser, in any case, in which she translates into the same problem as before for a couple of times. I made a list and compared the old files for files users a whole new and found some differences. Indeed, take

Compatibility and .ini file extensions differ by 3 KB, with a new user being 1 and the former user 4.
The RDF store Local file differs from 2 to a new user, 4 for a former user.
The RDF file Mime Types differs from 3 for a new user to 4 for a former user.
Plugin Reg(istry?) .dat differs from 17 news for 20 old ones.
Search.JSON differs from 13 to 16 old news.
Search Metadata.json differs from 1 new on 4 old.
Classifier URL 3 key. txt differs from 1 new on 4 old.
Web App Store.sqlite differs from 96 to 128 old news.
(All units are KB)
Because a few articles about the problem are "more maintained" and the solutions work only temporarily, I came here hoping to solve this little problem. Thanks and good luck in advance.

Notes; the first crash, what ID for the new user that crashed, the last is for a former user.

If this problem just started in the last few days, I can guess that you are using google.com (or a localized variant) for your home page.

If this is the case, the Olymoic "doodle" animation is causing crash at startup. Mozilla developers are aware of this issue and are looking into it.

For now, change your home page, or use a blank page when opening Firefox and then press the Home button to load you the home page. A real difficulty doesn't could not be 'pushed' until after the Olympic Games are finished and Google goes back to a static doodle.

HI Maria/Winston.Not, trying to be coy but. I've never had close the firewall to load anything. It will be, or at least should invite you to make a choice to leave the program to run or not? Nevertheless. If you have windows activation hurt you firewall can reactivate manually without going through the bugs that you can not. If you click Start and choose the runtime application. Type cmd, and then press ENTER. When the command prompt box appears type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes. He'll say firewall reactivated and ask for a reboot. Restart the computer and it will be active again. Just trying to help.

    Hi Winston/Hewlit,

Thank you both for your advice.
While waiting for your answers, I pushed all sorts of buttons and downloaded all kinds of programs in the hope that I could break the firewall (Hewlit the printer I tried to install says to disable the firewall to install the printer, and then turn it back on?).

Uninstall what you can the normal way via the Control Panel, and then use the CS cleanup tool.  Then try to reinstall. You might want to try an installation download rather than the disc if it continues to fail.

  • Mac will not load some web pages but works in safe mode

    Hello

I am trying to solve the following problem...

MacBook Pro with 10.11.3 will not load some web pages (booking.com people.com are just a few). Browser will not make a difference.

Looked around the discussions and tried a few remedies but without success. for example, change the dns data, site reset or 8.8.8.8.8 create a new user and I have tried several different networks.

All the site will load in safe mode.

    Thank you guys!

If they load in Safe Mode, then it is a third-party plug-in or software blocking sites while not in Safe Mode.

Do you have the third-party antivirus or firewall? Do you have any unknown third party plugins or extensions?

Open the Finder, click go > go to folder, copy and paste the following and click on Go

    ~/Library/Internet plug-Ins

This is where your plug-in user. By default, this folder must be completely empty, so anything here has been added either by you or with 3rd party software that has been installed. You can move anything in this folder on the desktop and then try with your sites. If this works, your choice in their folder one by one until it doesn't. Remove the problem and it redownload only if you really need.

    Hi Manju,

Remember to make changes before this problem?

If the computer works fine only in Safe Mode, then some present third party software on the computer may cause this problem.

    Hello

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
    • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
    • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    • Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:

This solve your problems? Please report to us!

I don't know what your problem is, but I would point out that when you say "I have no virus", you could very well be wrong

No antivirus program is perfect, and the more popular (Norton and McAfee) are among the worst. Just because they do not catch something doesn't mean you're not nfected.

In addition, more virus there are other types of malware, such as spyware, and even if you have no virus, you could be infected with spyware.

For an anti-virus program, I recommend eSet NOD32, if you're ready
to pay for it. If you want a free anti-virus, I recommend one (do not run more than one) of the following three:

    Avira AntiVir
    Avast
    Microsoft Security Essentials

You also need anti-spyware software (even if you run a program like Microsoft Security Essentials, with anti-spyware feature integrated into it). I recommend that you download and
    install MalwareBytes AntiMalware (freeware)
