Microphone and Audio HP pavilion dv6466us

Hello

I use a HP pavilion dv6466us and recently put in a new hard drive HP plu from inside and put windows 7 on it.  Now my microphone internal, any microphone I plug into the microphone port, and no matter what headphones I plug into the microphone port does not work.

Really, I don't mind the absence of helmet so I'll just describe my projects to try to fix the microphone.  When I first came to sound-> record, everything that is listed is Line In and it says not connected.  When I plug in a microphone that also does not change.

I tried SP40170.exe and still get installation: failure and I tried SP47803 and error: the driver Installation failed: could not find the device for this driver.  It seems to me that not only my intern and no matter what microphone that I plug into the microphone port not working but it doesn't recognize even one of them anyway.

Thank you for your time and any help you can give me.

Hello

As you can see ago class 5 audio drivers for your model. You can find them here and here.

Test them all. Don't forget to install in Vista compatibility mode.

Before installing the new driver, don't forget to uninstall the old driver first.

  • Microphone and speakers won't work - HP Pavilion laptop dv7

    Hello

Last night I was using Skype and my internal MIC was not working (it's the only microphone that I had). I was confused and he looked in the forums of HP and found this: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-PC-Sound-and-Audio/dv7-Pavilion-integrated-microphone-array-Sk...

    I followed the instructions:

Check if it works, otherwise you have to uninstall and reinstall the driver.

    1. click on start, type: DEVMGMT. MSC in the search field and then press ENTER. It opens the Device Manager window.
    2. go to the category 'Sound, video and game controllers' and expand it. Right-click on the entry of the IDT high definition Audio Device, and then click on uninstall

    3. click on start-> all programs-online REcovery Manager-> click Dirver Hardware installation, select the Sound Driver entry and click on install.

For step 3, I am looking for the Recovery Manager and I find the HP Recovery Manager, I then select "drivers and reinstall applications" to the title of immediate assistance. I tried to reinstall the driver for IDT HD Audio Driver. Tried twice and both times it failed.

Now my computer doesn't have speakers... When I hover over the volume icon in my toolbar, it is said that there is no speakers or headphones installed. I need my speakers... Is this something that can be corrected?

I don't have the capabilities to mic. When I go into the properties for under sound recording, there are NO MICROPHONES appear. I bought a microphone, external and plugged in, and it does not work as well. The microphone is not as important to me as the issue of the speaker, but I still want this corrected.

If anyone can help? I know that I probably did something wrong and I'm far from being 'good' with computers... Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    Amanda

    Hi Amanda,.

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp52501-53000/sp52658.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

  • How to set up a USB Microphone and a headphone audio jack at the same time on Windows 7?

I recently bought a CAD u37 USB microphone for use in various records and a commentator game on Youtube when I came across a problem. When I plugged the microphone all other sounds immediately extinguished and I couldn't hear the game. I tried to unplug and re - plug in the headphones and the microphone, even play with no helmet without result.

I did some research and found out it's because the microphone is automatically configured for audio input and output and the card sound/headset, not having a configuration. I've recently considered buying a $5 female jack audio converter USB to work around this problem.
Will this work, or just be a waste of money? Are there simpler solutions like a flick of a switch of audio control panel configuration? Are there any programs that will allow me to configure the audio and input output? Is it still possible? Thank you!

    Hi Ben,

I suggest you try to connect USB female to the converter audio jack, this should help to solve the problem with simultaneous USB microphone and audio input jack using headphones.

If you have any more questions, respond to this post with the State of the question. I'll be happy to help you.

  • How to record audio Microphone and PC?

I've been looking for everywhere tutorials on how to do it, but don't can find videos of audition 3.

I want to record my mic and PC audio at the same time (Yes, my PC supports "Stereo Mix").

    Thank you!

Just hearing records everything that is given by your sound card or audio interface so you don't have to sort the parameters he who send the microphone and the audio PC to the record side of your system.

How to do this will depend on exactly what your audio device and how you set the ranges.

Once you have the end of the sound card put in place, the hearing is easy though.  Go to hardware edition/preferences/Audio and, if all is good on your sound card, it must appear as an option in the menu dropdown for entry 'default'.  You can also route the default output however you want to listen to things.

A couple of points... the 'Device class' box allows you to specify the type of driver you are using.  Unless you have a specialist audio interface, it'll probably be Ms. also, the sampling frequency that you define in hearing must match what you set when you were selecting things on your audio card/interface.

I don't want to end on a Downer, but many sound cards these days this force you to save on the thing or the other and cannot make a mixture of sources like XP and earlier versions of Windows used to offer.  Maybe that's why you keep finding tutorials for AA3.0... it was the last version designed around XP and previous versions.   I hope you're one of the lucky ones.

  • The input microphone and WEBCAM microphone don't work

    Hey.

    I'm on HP Pavilion dv6 1330-er.

The problem is - my microphone and webcam microphone worked fine until this morning from yesterday. The night before I was talking with my friend on Skype and then went to sleep. When I woke up - input mic webcam and mic were not working.

    I use Windows 7 Ultimate x 64

Nothing like this has happened before.

Video webcam itself works very well. Headset works fine.
Tried to reinstall the driver - didn't work.

Laptop resting on the table, just as I left it in the evening

Have 2 different windows installed on my laptop (the other is windows XP, not a single program installed, a few drivers) - microphones do not work.

The microphone even on different PC works fine.
The system detects the headset microphone and webcam microphone and the system shows when I take micro helmet inside and out.

I have no idea what's wrong with audio input. Maybe you guys can help, thank you.

    Hi again toxyyy,

    Thanks for the quick response!

According to the information provided in your post, I advise you to follow this document on the use of the Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 7). This should restore the drivers software and hardware of origin provided with your computer. Once the software installation is complete, please follow this document on using the HP Support Assistant to update your system drivers.

For the component XP from your computer, I recommend later in this document on the no sound (Windows 98, ME and XP). This should help to restore the sound on the side of the XP for your operating system.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your response!

I want to get away from Google because it is invasive... but what Firefox wants to "permissions" are just as bad. Is it possible to install without this requirement unreasonable?

    Hello

Please read how we use permissions below

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/how-Firefox-Android-use-permissions-it-requests

We ask only the camera and the microphone when you opt - in the camera and microphone for the sites that make use of selectively to the WebRTC (see http://www.webrtc.org/). We provide a browser menu dialog drop-down where you can select your camera and microphone. • Satellite C650-197 built into the Microphone and Jacks does not

As the title, I tried to use the microphone that comes built-in on this model (Web camera VGA integrated with built-in microphone) and found his does not work. I tried to plug in an external microphone via the microphone jack and still no registration.
I can't seem to find the drivers for the integrated or plug anywhere.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

    > I can't can't find the drivers for the integrated or plug anywhere.
This drivers don t exist. The sound card driver controls everything.
I think you should first start the webcam software and should test the microphone because the internal MIC is part of the webcam.
Webcam software provides a tab; settings and properties. In one of these tabs, you will find settings for the audio.
Here, you can increase the volume of the microphone and was able to record a small audio session.

In addition I recommend the settings in Control Panel-> sound.
Make sure the microphone volume is set to maximum. Don't forget to check the hidden devices and disabled it there...

  • L830 satellite - built-in microphone and webcam not working

    Computer: Toshiba Satellite L830-10N
    Platform: Windows 7

    Hi guys,.
I have problems with my integraed microphone and webcam. All of a sudden out of nowhere, it wouldn't work. I tried to restore the system to go to a previous point where I worked, I installed several anti-virus programs to clean up the computer just in case of virus and still nothing.

The recorder has also been verified, but when I try to save, an error message appears and says "an audio recording device is not found."

I also tried to go to control panel > sound > recording, but a message says that cannot recognize anything.

Also, the system tells me that I have a problem with the WD SES pilot seriously, I don't know what it is but just in case it could be linked.

He worked before without any problems and I did not download or some kind of action is suspected, but now it will not work.

I checked the above in relation to the subject, but none of them does not work for me.

    Thank you very much.

Webcam is listed in (imaging devices) Device Manager?

If you are using Win7 64 bit try reinstalling the webcam driver.

    Hello

Please remove the serial number of the position since its considered to be personal information.

Ru trying to watch the news online, if so, then yes its due to dial-up access.

For videos (as in watching videos) streaming on the internet, you need a faster internet connection as a connection high speed.

Try playing videos on the system as in the sample videos folder if it plays very well I suppose that the system should be fine.

I have a new Touchsmart 610xt. 5.3 Skype video works but audio does not work. Gmail video chat works very well for the audio and the video. Any ideas?

    Solved the problem.

Skype does not choose the speakers or a decent microphone by default during installation.

    He chose the correct video.

GoTo call settings and choose the microphone and speaker and correct Skype works perfectly.

For some reason, google talk was able to correctly choose everything. Its nice to choose both.

    Hi Billylambert,

1 Windows operating system you are using?

    2. What is the brand and model of headphones and microphone?

    3. what video editing software do you use?

    4. were you able to use the device before without any problem?

    5. have you made a recent software or hardware changes to the system?

If you are using Windows 7, you can try to run the Audio recording utility and check if it helps.

  • Whistle with ECM - W1M Bluetooth microphone and a3000 camera

Web site of Sony said that the a3000 and ECM - W1M are completely, 100% compatible. I bought the microphone and the receiver lights up on the camera.

I try a lot of things until I decided to try to record with the receiver on the camera, blue light comes on and the microphone and the receiver coupled with each other. I know that through these hoops does not mean that 100% compatibility. anyway.

The problem is that the microphone has a very strong sound when not all the sounds. Example. You turn it on and it pairs. Before you start talking there is a strong sound. Once I have start talking the hiss disappears but comes back if I stop to talk to a down while.

Question to Sony, are Multi Interface devices all different? Sony sells an all being the same and compatible. And I'll be back the MIC because the whistle is going to get better?

    Thank you.

Seems to me that if you have an AGC (auto gain control) turned on. If you are not familiar with the MCO, it does is amplify the volume of the sound entering the camera until he hears it. In other words, it increases the gain of the sound. This is probably why when you talk about the hiss disappears, but he returned when there is only available for noise which is much more difficult for the camera to 'hear' compared to your voice or loud sound source as an instrument for example.

I am not familir with the a3000, but you could look through your menus and see if you can turn off or maybe the audio manual value.

    Hope that helps.
