Microsoft and account Local

Hello

Can I set up my laptop with me as the main user connected with my Microsoft Account and full administrative privileges and my partner connected with a Local account with standard privileges?

Hello

The first time you set up Windows, you have created a user account. This account is automatically an administrator account, so that you can complete the configuration of your PC and install any programs that you want to use. When you add other accounts to your PC, however, they will usually be standard accounts. Standard accounts are best for everyday use. The Windows login screen shows which accounts are set up on this PC.

If you are an administrator, you can easily add accounts of users through laptop settings.

You can check the link for more information on the user account.

  • Merger of Microsoft and Skype accounts

Impossible to get a straight answer to onthisone:

I started to use Skype when I had 8 win computer laptop and I connect to Skype via direct. com

I use this account with Win 7 Pro

I opened a separate account with a non-microsft connection, using my gmail address

I also started a 3 month subscription inthi counts as a separate skye # phone

After that I built my profile and save itl.

The message is: the benefits of the merger to your Microsoft account with your Skype to othe account = 20%, which would give me a total of 100%.

The problem is simple: how to merge the 2 accounts? I'm doing research and I get responses on the merging of accounts.

And? my Skype phone # and my subscription of 3 month deferred on account of gamil on behalf of microsoft as welol.

I can't do this thing of fusion and I'm about to drop the bloody service.

Thanks for allowingme evacuate ;) lol

    Drew

This merge option you're talking about now is to merge Microsoft + Skype accounts.

The original you message posted, you seemed to indicate that you had 2 separate Skype accounts (as you say, you had a separate phone for each number), and you want to merge these.  That's what I meant about "no merger", there is no way to make a fusion of Skype + Skype.  If you didn't speak to merge two Skype accounts, I apologize for the misunderstanding of your request.

Follow these methods and check if that helps.

Press or click accounts, and then press or click on other accounts.

    b. press or click the account that you want to remove, and then press or click delete.

    c. press or click delete the account and data. (Please back up all important data before you delete the user account).

    d. it may take a few minutes, if the account has a lot of associated data.

    Method 2:

  • I got a call from a woman who told me she was from microsoft and my computer shows signs of malware

I got a call from a woman who told me she was from microsoft and my computer shows signs of malware, then let him check my computer remotely, he appeared on my screen that I had 39000 flaws and they would now clear them for free, then, she told me that I need an internet security shield to stop what is happening again at a cost of £189.00 a one-time payment. I told him I didn't have the money and after some time, she put a guy on the line to convince me that I should buy this article, I told him I wasn't happy to transfer money to a stranger and I thought it was a scam and hung up. I noticed that they had installed a program called Advanced SystemCare3, which I've uninstalled it. Now, I'm worried that they can hack into my computer and find the personal information.

    Is this possible?

    It is a scam. See:

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security/online-privacy/msname.aspx .

If they have access to your PC, they can install any number of malicious programs, as well as you have uninstalled. My recommendation is to do a clean reinstall of Windows - it's the only way to be sure that your system is clean.

All the data on your computer (passwords, credit card numbers, numbers of account documents, etc.) may have been compromised (they may not know now). According to the companies concerned (for example your bank) what happened.

Use another PC to change passwords.

    Consider telling your local police.

Microsoft will never call you unless you request them.

  • User account local windows 8

How can I remove an ACCOUNT of the LOCAL USER in windows 8 created under my main account from microsoft?

You must always have a local user account, even if you connect to your Microsoft online Account.  The local account is necessary or you can't use your computer.  Microsoft 'joins' with the local Account, it is not replace it.

If you want to remove, you must disconnect your Microsoft Account, then go into Control Panel and delete the account.

  • Microsoft email account password reset

    Hello

I have a new PC that I bought last Nov/Dec with Windows 8 operating system.  At the point where I was getting set up I had either a Microsoft Access email or something but he bypassed that and I was able to set up local access and password which was very good.  I confirmed that I have a Microsoft email account configuration * address email is removed from the privacy *' with a password is valid, but this password does not work on my PC if I try to switch on my pc to Microsoft.

How can I get the password reset for my Microsoft account which I suppose is using the above email address.

    Thank you for your help.

    Best regards

My computer crashed and I restore my my hard drive recovered Thunderbird email, how do I restore my old emails (stored emails and accounts)? I found 2 folders (a local sub) & another under roaming which appear to contain my email stuff. How in Thunderbird set up again to access my old emails/files? Create a new profile and copy the one above him. See this article for instructions.

Your old profile is located under "roaming."
For Thunderbird there is nothing that you need to restore from "local."

APTURO scam is alive and well... and I just fell for it.  I was scammed to the tune of $ 207,91 to solve a problem on my computer that did not exist.  Convincing, but aggressive, 'technician' called Microsoft Support had received reports that my computer had been compromised and that his company had the task to fix.  The malware to compensation would cost US$ 169.  I've stupidly it gave access to my computer for all 90minutes.  What he was doing right now that I don't know, but I just finished all my blocking bank accounts and change the passwords.

It is not good enough, as far as I'm concerned.

In addition to their money get on your part to do anything of any value,
If you leave them in your computer, who knows what they were doing or where
    What confidential information they stole.

So if you have done so, I highly recommend that you do both of the following
    immediately:

1 do a clean reinstall of Windows.

    2. after reinstallation of Windows, change all your passwords.
especially one of the banks or other financial sites. Once again, even do
    If you have just made.

Since they have perhaps installed a recorder of strikes, changing just your
Passwords may not be good enough.

  • Difficulty to configure Windows Live Essentials, unable to connect to applications with a Microsoft operating account

I am currently trying to set up parental control and accounts of e-mail for my children.  I am running Windows 7 (working group, but currently on a group of houses), I installed Windows essentials three days ago.  When I click on the user account I am redirected to connect to Windows live Family Safety, where I quickly said that "my password or email is incorrect, please try again."  My log in details are very good, (I changed the password twice, added to an alias, spoke to Live ID twice).  I couldn't connect at all when I connect to my Microsoft account to access the fss.live.com in this way I'm told I'm not a parent of an existing family and around, I'm going again.

I thought it was a problem specifically related to the safety of the family, but when I tried to set up my account @outlook.com to synchronize with Windows Live mail 2012, once again, the password is rejected even though I can log in and access my Inbox via firefox.

Any suggestions on what I can do to solve these problems?

I actually fixed me this problem.  It is that I have a two-step process of verification of my microsoft account who don't like no other applications like Windows Live Mail 2012 and Windows Live Family Safety.  I had to use a code app (generated in the section of the security of your Microsoft account) password, instead of my usual password.  All fixed.

Three days of hell, 4 cats with Microsoft support, 2 phone calls with microsoft technical support and the suggestion that I have to contact my system administrator or pay for outside access to fix it.  All this because having not used codes app before that I didn't know that's what they do!  And nobody told me to use for my paper application code in.

I got a phone call from someone who said they were from microsoft and my computer was in danger, unless I paid 130 pounds for a new warranty, is it a scam?

    Hi Debra,

It's a SCAM! Microsoft does not make that neither have they partners that do and don't they hire contractors or individuals or even to find volunteers to do. There are probably thousands of these companies out there do every day - we get two or three posts like this (or more) each day ask about it. You are lucky who have recognized the scam enough not to be sucked in and eventually identify theft, infections, hacking your computer, convince you to buy software or services you either did not need or that do not really exist at all and all sorts of nefarious stuff. You'd be surprised how much contact us AFTER THAT that they realized they had been duped asking what to do. Don't waste time talking to these people, not give them any personal information it is, don't be fooled by what they can get allows you to see on the computer - in fact, not do anything they suggest on your computer or even to visit Web sites they recommend and for the love of God don't give them access to your computer.

Microsoft knows this is happening, but with these companies popping up like dandelions, or closing and changing names when discovered and operating mainly from abroad, it would take an army of lawyers to sue each other. They do the best they can, but they are just too many and more added every day. People need to pay attention to these things. They occur not only by telephone, but also by e-mail, instant messaging, mail and all the ways imaginable. Forget not that Microsoft doesn't this and hang up or remove the emails or messages or mail from someone claiming that they do because they know the information on your computer or that you want to get information from you to confirm your account so that it will not be closed and asking you your name of user and password and all sorts of other personal information. Microsoft DO NOT!

    Good luck and best wishes!
