Microsoft calls
I get alleging phone calls from microsoft saying that there is something wrong with my operating system. Microsoft take these actions?
No, they do not. Microsoft will never contact you except when a support call is open for yourself.
These people who call you are crooks who will try to convince you to let them have control of your system. Once they did this, they inspect and retrieve any personal and financial information you have for purposes of identity theft. They will also try to load you can remove their software from your computer.
Avoid at all costs. Do not engage with them, don't believe a word they tell you.

Several years ago I purchace one program, I thought to be from Microsoft called makeover. It's where you took a picture of a person and with the program changed their hairstyle, color, features of the face. Found a disc I scored some photos of my kids we did together at a family event, and they are .vmo files and would like to know if there is a patch to open.

A person supposed to be Microsoft called and said my Firewall Security Center was not working and had an ID # they said was my ID of computers that he read out to me and that I have no idea whether or not this is the ID. They wanted me to be in front of my computer and asked me to do things and wouldn't continue until I started, I started to do what they asked which of course I did NOT! I requested a call back number, and that's what he gave me:
1 855-731-4936 and his name was Fred Watson, was not American speaking, very strong foreign accent.
Is - is this legitimate? Its a scam. A well known and long-lasting. Microsoft will never ask you for personal information (they already have them) and you never call cold. Nor do they send messages of anti virus - and they do not have to connect to your machine. NEVER allow anyone to connect remotely to your machine. They are the partners who do this nor Microsoft does not only

Microsoft called my house to tell me someone was trying to hack into my computer. I hung up on top of the man after him asking a variety of questions would be that he could not answer being:
A computer trying to be hacked? (His response was that he could tell me after that I followed the instructions)
How he came to find is that certain telephone number? (He told me that was confidential)
Where he was calling from. (He studdered and stammered a few places, but never completely answered.)
What the computer a. Windows program (it was where it even once told me that it did not matter.)After that, I hung up on him, and he won't stop bothering me. Now, in all my years of having a computer and my computer spoil on me not a widows nobody called me to inform me what it is. I always had to call them, which is reasonable. I want to know if it is legitimate, which I doubt, and if I can understand how he got my phone number if I can keep someone else to do.
Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Microsoft CALLED my phone at home today.
Microsoft calls the people?
Stranger claimed my computer flickered a message on Windows and that he would help me to fix it by phone - BUT he had need of my ID #. I told her that I does not my ID number to someone on the phone. I called the number back a few minutes later and someone answered with just "Hello"? Then after a second or 2, she has identified herself as a person of Microsoft and even once asked me for my ID #. I hung up.
The phone number that came on my phone is: (914-465-0874. I guess it's a scam of phone and won't deal with them. Microsoft should make this more public type of scam, so people will not give ANY information to scammers. They were quite insistent and aggravated that I would not give them my computer/Microsoft identification number.

Microsoft call people and ask for access to the computer unsolicited?
I get repeated calls from this phone number 855-805-8326 claiming they are Microsoft and they should have access to my computer, so they can fix the reported problems, they have received. I hang up on them and they immediately remind me 2 - 3 times. This is the case on several occasions... and I'm sure it's a scam. Can a person check Microsoft this number and I would like to know if it's actually Microsoft or if Microsoft made even this non solicited? Thank you!!

I received a call from Microsoft saying that I am facing a problem on my computer. They said there are technical service. I told them it sounded like a scam and they said they could prove it. Told me to press the Microsoft button while pressing the letter 'r '. I told them that I don't have the time to do what I was about to leave the House for a race. They said they'd call back Monday at 14:00. Is it a scam? Or is it legitimate?

Microsoft calls the people to report hackers access your computer
I received a call from someone who claims to be from Microsoft saying that he had tried to reach me with messages pop up for 5 weeks to report that my computer has beed pirate. They asked me to type int CMD in the start menu and then read a line of the type that started with "send to the target." I was suspicious, but allowed them to transfer me to a technician who wanted to help me get rid of the intruder. I asked for a number where I could call back them, and he argued that "hacker could be tuned" says so they would call me in return a number, I could see. Pending their appeal, I did a quick search to see if anyone from MIcrosoft never call customers about the problems of this kind. All the results, said that MS never calls visitors unless a ticket has been opened. When they recalled that I asked wherever they called and they said in Brampton, but the number she gave me was not an exchange of Brampton. Every question I asked foreign led and answers by a stranger, I told them white point that I felt it was a scam. At this point, my technician has hung up.
Is Microsoft never contact with customers all the so-called "pirates"?
Nope. It's a scam. Microsoft will not call you unless you initiate the call or support ticket.
Do not give them any information, or give them access to your PC.
