Migration error

I bought a new MAC OS X El Capitan 16.2 one screwed upward, while transferring the documents from my old MAC by using the site of migration to the new found on the MAC support site... My old MAC is Snow Leopard.

I want that my new MAC back to what it was when I took it out of the box and ALL the stuff that I transferred on it forever. I want to start again.

I tried the tap drop and tried to restore from that but it does not remove old material that I transferred

Thank you

RJB

Hello

My guess is the user you tried to install/partner to the migration repository done don't have the appropriate privileges.

Best to start over if we can enter the question.

Start by creating a new user in Oracle for the migration repository. Give the correct privileges

> Connect to SYS or SYSTEM and run the following commands

Migrep CREATE a USER identified by migrep;

GRANT connect, resources, create view, create a view on migrep;

ALTER USER migrep unlimited quota on USERS;

Now using SQL Developer, create a connection to the MIGREP and associate the migration repository in this regard.

Check if migration Repository packages have been created and are compiled valid. Worth the package bodies are valid as well.

I hope it was just a privilege you were missing.

Kind regards

Dermot.

SQL development team.

• 11.1.2.2 migration error

Hi all

I used the following code to my hash password. In jdev 11.1.2.1 it was working fine but when I migrate to 11.1.2.2 it gives me an error and its not able to import oracle.security.jps.internal.jaas.module.database.util. DBLoginModuleSHA1Encoder the file
public class WLSencoder {
public static String encodePassword(String password, String salt) {
DBLoginModuleSHA1Encoder pwEncoder = new DBLoginModuleSHA1Encoder();
String encodedPassword = pwEncoder.getKeyDigestString(password, null);
String wlsEncodedPassword = "{SHA-1}" + encodedPassword;
return wlsEncodedPassword;
}
}
Are there alternatives to this?

I use this code to create an encryption scheme that matches the encryption of the password used in weblogic server.

Thank you
Rakesh

Hi Rakesh,
You can use this code to convert plain text into 64 "SHA-1" hassed code base that will work with WLS

MessageDigest sha1 = MessageDigest.getInstance("SHA1");
byte[] hexByte= sha1.digest((plaintext).getBytes());
//you can convert it to base 64 by using the following code
String s = new sun.misc.BASE64Encoder().encode(hexByte);

password = "{SHA-1}"+s;

• LCM Migration error

Hi all

We are facing a serious problem of migration using LCM. We have made some changes in the Production and wanted to return to development. (It works be it here). I tried using LCM using shared workspace services and executed migration. I copied this particular file each for shared services and planning app in the folder Import & Export the target environment and run migration again.
This resulted in it with some mistakes to learn calc scripts scripts and report dint migrate with errror blah blah.
When I opened the web Planning, I see new forms in the list of forms. but when I click on open, it says 'error occurred '.
Its the same thing when I opened the dimensions and everything.
and to my heart attack, I could not even open the AppWizard Wizard by web, it even says 'error occurred '. What is now that I can do to achieve this?
All my plans corrupt db? I thought that I could at least get the app by using app Wizard by pointing out to the new DB. given my AppWizard went, what can I do now?

Please suggest.

I guess that you have restarted the service application web planning.
If it's good for the dev to be a mirror of prod, it would be less painful to try to restore the relational db for dev.

See you soon

• The AIA Migration error codes

Hello

Have a question related to the migration of the error codes of the AIA we configure AIA for each Service AIA/ABC framework.

These stored anywhere as an xml or in the database? Our main concern is during the migration, we face the challenge to set all this up in a new environment. Rather, I'm looking for, if we can just move the configuration file to the new environment.

Thanks in advance,

Phani

Phani,
I guess that you are referring to the configuration of error notifications in the AIA configuration pages. These rules are stored in the BSR_ERROR_NOTIFICATIONS table in the schema of the AIA.

If you export data from an env to be imported into another, you must ensure that the corresponding sequence of the DB (BSR_ERROR_NOTIFICATIONS_S) is adjusted to not run into issues.

Now it is clear that has happened - the repository for the Migration of SQL Developer is created successfully.

I did not really notice you use Oracle 9i to store the good SQL Dev repository as specified above. Using an Oracle 9i database to store the repository will fail create several packages and the packages are marked as invalid in the Oracle db.

When you have a look at the invalid objects by using this query:
Select user_objects object_name, object_type, State where status = 'INVALID ';
You will see several packages required by the migration utility (such as MIGRATION, of MIGRATION_TRANSFORMER, a few MD % triggers etc.) are marked as invalid.

When you try to recompile them manually you will get errors like:

• Access 2003-> Oracle 10 g: fixed error of migration, SQL script

I recently migrated an Access 2003 to SQL using Oracle SQL developer Oracle database, and the process went well, with the exception of some migration errors.

The errors I had have largely brought on 3 main groups:

(i) "doesn't have to convert' errors:
Failed to convert view Q345_Delete_NR > filename. Q345 - Delete NR: unexpected node in the AST: EXEC_PARAM_LIST: column of the row-1-1

(II) 'limitation of translation mistakes:
Limitation of the translation "cannot convert to display" met on view filename. Q326 - update column of NA column_name line 0 0

(III) "parse errors":
oracle.dbtools.migration.parser.ext.ExtStringTemplate.setValue(ExtStringTemplate.java:106)

I know that these can be fixed, but I'm unable to understand what they mean. I would be grateful for some advice on what this means and how do I address to them.

Finally, I would like to watch the complete SQL script for the database migrated - please someone let me know how to consider this in a single sheet? I would like to create a stored procedure from this one.

Thank you.

As you have an Oracle database you currently have support for this database and this is quite enough to save a service request for the SQL Migration Workbench developer.
Saving a service request will allow us to examine the migration of more detailed SQL Dev and then we can improve the product.

(The stored procedures, you need to manually extract the instructions in the script generated) that you intend to do) and then put it in a procedure.

• vsphere5.5 + Rs 5.5 = recovery remove datastore error

Good afternoon.

Recently updated structure to update to vsphere 5.5 and 5.5 SRM.

Planned migration works well. There was a problem with the emergency recovery.

Simulate the situation:

(1) we have two VM protected, turn off the power to the host, I go to the Dr site and perform disaster recovery.

The following errors appear during the recovery process. This is normal, because the guests of inactivity.

Here are the errors:

Protected shutdown VMs on the Site - error - unable to communicate with the remote host, because it is disconnected. Cannot communicate with the remote host, because it is disconnected.

Prepare the VMs of Site protected for Migration - Error - the operation is not allowed in the current state of the connection to the host. The operation is not allowed in the current state of the connection to the host. Impossible to cancel the registration of protected virtual machines.

Change read-only storage - error - Impossible to cancel the protected registration. VMs cannot unsubscribe VMs protected.

(2) go to the site recovery, everything seems fine. SRM offers redo recovery, because there were errors. Host power, perform a recovery and that's where the problems begin. Begin to pour into the error about unable to disassemble the data store, namely:

Error - Impossible of datastore "DS1" from host 'host1. The "DS1" resource is in use.

DS1 - the data store in the site protected, host1 - host in a protected site, where VM under tension before the recovery process

Remarkably, manually remove the data store that it does not work too. That allows you to reboot the host again, but that's not important.

Who can tell what is wrong or who have experienced when working with MRS? Ko is suitable for my case is not found.

• SVMotion ERROR?

Hey guys I have a problem when I try a machine to storage vmotion live... I consolidated records in order to preserve max CAP VMDK migration errors and at the same time to find isn't a problem... This error persists regardless total VMDK?

"a general error has occurred: Storage Vmotion: consolidate online in case of failure: unable to open snapshot file." Must manually consolidate the records of the child ".

IM wandering what is at the root of the file snapshot in camera... what a permissions problem? There are chances that you would be able to configure this to allow a work around?

Currently, the files of virtual machines are spread over 2 data warehouses...

is there a way to force migration to successfully get the VMS source files migrated to the destination without restart or shut down the server?

-rw - 1 root root 16820736 Mar 9 20:24 dmotion - scsi0:00_D - delta.vmdk

There is your problem. You can't svmotion this virtual machine until the initial movement is finished. You cannot complete until you put it down and complete the migration. I understand that you want to do then that is upward, svmotion is a great tool, but unfortunately it is incomplete, and it must be complemented by the virtual machine offline.

That of why you have errors, instant are preventing this virtual machine migrating. If you need get some downtime for this virtual machine.

• MySQL for Oracle Database Migration

I'm migrating 75 Tables of MySQL (5.0.18) to Oracle (10.2.0.1.0) using SQL-Developer (2.1.1.64)

Below are the steps to follow to a State where I'm stuck:

1: opens a connection with MySQL (5.0.18) which has * 86 * databases.
2: open another connection with Oracle (10.2.0.1.0); a new installation.
3: just clicked one of the MySQL database and selected ' + * Capture schema * + ".
After the capture, this particular database appeared on ' + * models Captured * + ".
4: right-click on this model converted, that says "* [email protected]:3306 (MySQL), etc. * ' and selected ' + convert model Oracle +".
5: nothing appeared on the "* Converted models."

~~~~~~~~~~~ Stuck ~~~~~~~~~~~
Another thing:
-If I select different tables of the database under "* models Captured *" and then convert them then ' * SQL Developer * "generate converted models.
-If I repeat anyone else of tables "* Converted model *" are generated.
Am I suppose to repeat this step for each Table, the trigger, view etc.?
Which JDK version do you use?
There is a problem with SQL Developer 2.1.1 with JDK1.6 less than 18 years of age and older, during the conversion of a migration phase, with exactly the symptoms you describe.
If you use one of these JDK could you try to install JDK1.6 U17?
