Migration Manager HBR to Calc security rules

Hi gurus,

I migrated / converted rules v.11.1.2.1 in the form of rules Manager Calc HBR in v.11.1.2.4 in exporting the HBR of EAS rules (using export to rules Calc option) and the same import manager of Calc.

Now I have to migrate security rules HBR in Calc target Manager. I went through the link https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/hp_admin/frameset.htm?ch03s15.html

but I got a bit confused as where exactly the HBRmigratesecurity.bat retrieves the source of security information, HBR rules.

Could you confirm on this point please?

Thank you

Siva

Hi John,.

You are right. But the fact is that I was actually waiting for / confused, when we move the HBR rules at Calc Manager, we need to export the EAS rules by selecting the option "for Calc Manager" in which security information will not be there.

So, to migrate security, once more we will have to export the EAS rules without selecting the option "Calc Manager" and then run the HBRmigratesecurity.

Please let me know if there is another way.

Thank you

Siva

Can anyone suggest me how to migrate HBR 9.3.3 to Calc man 11.1.2.2?
I've read several forum posts and documentation but was not able to understand.
I tried export HBR and importation to calc man but was not able to do.
I get errors that there is that no objects were found in the RFSO for the import.

In the documentation it says that the migration of 9.3.3 to 11.1.2.2 is allowed but I couldn't really understand the documentation as it says check option for Calc man that I can't find in HBR 9.3.3

    Please advice.

    Thank you.

    Pat,

Why you try to import in calc Manager? Your export format HBR and calc Manager expected import XML to the Calc Manager format. You just provide the dialog box the default plantype migrate and prefer to migrate. It should be in the rules.

Do not attempt to import the XML file. Its in the form of HBR XML.

  • How to change the models of Calc Manager after the migration of HBR

    Hi all

at the moment I'm trying to migrate a planning application classic migration incl. EPMA to CM business rules. Migration worked well, but I'm a model with CM and I don't like the graphic mode... Is there a way to change (HBR Macros) models in script mode? I can switch mode script for business rules, but I don't see the option if I open a Template (custom template set and after the migration of HBR).

    Thank you very much!
    Kind regards
    André

    P.S.: We are on 11.1.2.1.0

Currently in 11.1.2.1, it is impossible to set the mode graph script. In the last 11.1.2.2 calc and patch, the default rules of planning will be migrated in order to script. In addition, the model contains a script component that will contain the macro text HBR which you should be able to change. Since the HBR was not deleted in 11.1.2.1, we will not be porting this functionality to 11.1.2.1.

One thing you can do is to modify the model, remove all graphics components, add a script component, and paste your macro script here. If your model has parameters, you must reference them with []. For example, if the parameter has been param1, then you référenceriez it as [param1] in your macro script.

  • Security rules in Calc Manager vs EAS

Maybe I'm missing something, but what happened to the ability to put safety on the rules now that we use Calc Manager for our applications of EPMA? In EAS Business Rules, we could all our privileges assigned to the rule, but now it seems that there is no security. What Miss me? Thank you.

Push the State for planning, and then set security in planning (Administration > business security rule)

How many systems do you have? If the number is high, the CSM is the way to go. Manage many systems (and keep them in sync with the same political) with IDM and IME is a nightmare. But if it is a single system, the EMI is the right tool for you. It works very well for the follow-up (up to 10 devices) and can also manage them (individually, it is not so easy for more then another system). And it's free.

It is not a standard feature in vCenter, but you can achieve with the VI toolkit. The excellent LucD wrote a script to export and import rules, take a look at the bottom of the following topic:

Hi, I use jdev11g and I'm trying to deploy and app with authentication and authorization of weblogic 10 gr 3, I'm looking at the "migration of the repository of security in a Production environment" section an i do not find these settings and other parts of this section: "

I have no problem deployment of authentication only, the problem is when I use the option "authentication and authorization" for security, I can't log in to any user that I have defined, as the error page, I set you only identical to the login page and it returns me to the page of connection/error all the time connect with any user I defined.
I wonder is there any link or video with an example of this, cause there seems little complex, thanks in advance.

  • Manager where do Calc scripts are stored?

    Hello

I had a planning application that I want to rename.

So, after you copy the old to the new, I deleted the old,

Unfortunately, I forgot to save my work at calc Manager.

I realized that after I get an error in the workspace

Calc Manager: failed to process the request.

    The session is not authenticated.

But when I go to GestionnaireCalc, the application is missing.

Can you help me looking for my Bishop calc scripts where they still exist?

    Thank you

    Nikos

Manager of calculation rules are stored in the table CALCMGRRULES of the RDM and BODY field if the type is a BLOB.

If the rules have been made to the planning application, they will be also in the HSP_CALC_MGR_RULES table and field BODY which will take place in XML format.

  • Problem of calculation Manager: planning starts the same rule several times

We have a very odd behavior to our Oracle EPM System 11.1.2 environment. Whenever a rule of calculation Manager takes more than 5 minutes at the end, Planning begins to run again and again. In some cases, the beginning of rules down and post the error messages, others to complete correctly, after launching several times.

The journal of planning looks something like this, after the launch of the rule only once:

My guess is you have changed the time of do not expire on the standard interval rule and of course to have long-term rules.

Consult the support company article rules that take more than five Minutes to execute are Re-launched several times [755406.1 ID]
    https://support.Oracle.com/CSP/main/article?cmd=show&type=not&DOCTYPE=problem&ID=755406.1

I saw cases where a firewall or load balancer has been filed to cut connections to certain intervals, forcing the browser to submit the application re-launch. In our case, I believe that the support article is the appropriate path for your problem.

  • Problems with the closure, by opening the Task Manager and Norton Internet Security. Help, please!

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv7 with Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit). Until Monday, there is no problem whatsoever with my computer at all. I have not installed or uninstalled, whatever it be, changed settings, done anything differently with my computer. Suddenly it now "hangs" on the screen of closing down. I'll try to reboot or stop using the menu start, and it will stay on this screen indefinitely. Now, I have to manually turn off the computer. I spent on the Support page and studied the Performance issues, and all I get is I have Visual settings that interfere with closing... except my Visual settings have not changed in any way. In addition, I can not properly update my computer or do a system restore because the computer will shut down.

In addition, the Task Manager will appear no more. I'll press ctrl alt del and nothing appears, just the green icon in the corner of the screen. If I try to right click, no response.

I tried to do a full system scan in Norton Internet Security but she "leaves" scanning. It will scan correctly when I'm in safe mode, but it comes with no virus, trojan or other problem.

So in essence, I tried everything I can think of to fix my computer nothing works. It was working perfectly before this week. I have no idea where to go. Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance,

    G

    Hello

    Method 1.
First check to see if there are external devices attached to the computer, if so remove and check.

    Method 2.
    Step A.

Start your computer in safe mode and check if it starts.

    Step B.
If it starts on the desktop in safe mode and then set your computer to the clean boot and check if it starts successfully. If it starts successfully can be a third-party application or service is causing the problem. We can use the approach 50 / 50 to narrow down the root cause of the problem.

See the article below for instructions on how to start your computer in a clean boot state.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: When the diagnosis is complete, don't forget to reset your computer to normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.

    Method 3.
I recommend to run the restore of the system in safe mode and check if it works very well.
    Reference:
    System Restore: frequently asked questions
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/system-restore-frequently-asked-questions
Note: If you use system restore when the computer is in safe mode, you can not undo the restore operation. However, you can run System Restore again and choose a different restore point if any.

    I hope this helps.

  • Firewall Windows with advanced security rules do not take effect immediately?

Hello everyone, I seem to have a problem with the Windows Firewall with advanced security. I put a rule that should prevent some IP address the ability to send packets to any port on my pc, however, it doesn't seem to work, said ip was still able to send packets until I installed the third-party firewall. That's what 'the netsh advfirewall firewall show = rulename rule name' indicates:

    Activated: Yes
    Direction: in
    Profiles: Domain, private, Public
    Group:
    LocalIP: all
    RemoteIP: x.x.x.x/32
    Protocol: all
    Traversed side: No.
    Action: block
Protocol used to send packets was UDP.
Is it normal that the rules from windows firewall do not take effect immediately?

Thanks for the reply, I checked the Windows Firewall service, it is set to automatic, and two long-term services are started (BFE and MPSDRV). It turns out that the PC was connected to the Public network, while the Windows Firewall has been enabled only for the private profile. Activation of the firewall for the public profile, did the trick.

    Thanks for your comments.

  • Manager deployment of Calc: benefits of residing on the host of the Foundation or separate

We deploy 11.1.2.4 for an instance of planning and Essbase.  Historically, we combined planning and Calc Manager on the host only s far from other modules.  I work with an integrator on an independent project, and the suggestion in this environment is to deploy Calc Manager on the Foundation Server (HSS, EAS, APS, etc) rather than on another host. Does anyone can define any advantage/disadvantage to separating Calc Manager of a host of the APS/Foundation/EAS?

    Thank you

From my experience, you usually find the components deployed together well foundation that he does not mean that it must be this way and probably doesn't make much difference.
