  The manufacturer is responsible for the OEM drivers. Check with their support,
  their documentation online and drivers and ask questions in the forums (if any) on any
  known issues. If there is no Windows 8 drivers don't try to use the latest Windows 7
  versions.

  Impossible for the life of me figure out why Mirage does not show what base layer has a machine. It seems random see photo below. When the base coat is not listed, you can apply layers app because the option is grayed out. The only way I can fix it, is to re - allocate a base layer. but isn't ideal...

  I can only imagine that you have may have removed a CVD and Centraliced the CVD again without choosing a BaseLayer.

  If you do this, then you will get CVDs where no BaseLayer will be shown and then the only way to solve this is really to give the last reused BaseLayer on this device.

  Fixed it with disable UAC in the register only with msconfig is not enough ;-)

• Mirage Server installation fails: the server failed to register

  Quick history: the single server installation (Server 2012 R2 w / SQL Express 2012) using the version 5.5.05294 for all components. I have a dedicated domain service account and management group that has local administrator rights and I am connected using this account. I have disabled UAC completely. I've successfully installed the Mirage Management Server and the SQL database looks good. I installed the Console of Mirage as well and can connect to the server and load the license key.

  Here is the error I get when you install the Mirage server:

  Mirage is not in the current version (5.4) Windows ready 10 or 10 Windows supported. It might be possible to run Windows 10 5.4 Mirage machines but you will not get any support for it and this could cause problems with your infrastructure of Mirage.

  I recommend you to wait that the Mirage is supported as Windows 10. In the last Mirage was very fast with the support of new operating systems.

  Please check in the console of administration for the same setting.

  I tried to go down my 5.4 Mirage ground infrastructure, but I continue to turn in questions with the CVD reference do not download.

  Pls use English OS to build the WinPE environment.

  It is a known issue which I hope will be fixed in a future version.

  From the Release Notes:

  • When you run the BuildMirageWinPE command on the following versions of the operating system, the procedure fails.
    • Traditional Chinese Win7 x 64
    • Simplified Chinese Win8.1 x 86
    • German Win8.1 x 64
    • French Win8.1 x 64

  Workaround: Do not use these operating systems to run the BuildMirageWinPEcommand.
