As I suspected it might that cause some problems and I decided to simply wipe the SSD drive and attempt to reinstall. I wiped the SSD and started my windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1 DVD. It will pass through the first process (Windows loading files) with the screen of levels of grey and the downstairs, but subsequently loading bar, I get an error telling me that the ntoskrnl.exe is missing or damaged, and I have no option other than to try again to load the disc, or stop. I have another disc of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit I tried to use, and it gave me the same message. There are a few other errors I received, I do not at the moment, but as soon as I get some time and if I get them again once I will update the thread with this info.

  The problem was with RAM. One of my 4GB DIMMS was bad. I removed and changed my poles autour needed and I could boot disk Windows 7 Pro and install correctly.

  A faulty RAM stick was causing the problem.

• Missing Msahci.sys in 64-bit Windows 8

  After I installed an SSD as a boot disk, I tried to switch from IDE to AHCI in the BIOS (eVGA x58FTW3 mainboard) and applied a found online registry fix. Now I can't boot from the new drive. The error message indicates msahci.sys damaged or missing. I went back to my HARD drive boot drive and the computer booted without problem. I turned it to IDE.
  The msahci.sys file does not appear on the drive, old or new. The contents of the disc is identical - except for this change in the registry.
  I have not found any official documentation specific to Windows 8.

  If need be, I was able to migrate my content from the HDD to the SDS. However, I would like to be able to activate the AHCI for the reader of the SDS.

  I have the same problem but I recently changed my OS to SSD PCIE - SSD. I changed the motherboard to AHCI settings and now I have no msshci.sys. I used the software to extreme3 Asrok at the time, I used just for actually updating my drivers.

  I'm trying to get this all in one printer scanner to work with my HP DV6 windows 8.1 x64machine and so far everything I've gotten is grief.
  This was initially the installation cannot find a file to install same (serscan.sys)
  All other posts said I need for an XP operating system file.
  Found one online, downloaded and run Setup to download folder, where he stopped at the second location request to the file where the installer says the file was not signed by microsoft.
  Put the same file in the C:/windows/inf folder and finally installed, but the scanner does not.

  I copied the serscan.sys of the repository and pasted into the windows/inf and the folder windows/system32, a reinstallation of the software of 123.hp.com and everything worked!

  You and your wife have separated Apple ID, right?  If not, do this (start) using separate identifiers immediately.

  IPhone storage is full?  Check the settings > general > storage & use iCloud > manage storage (in storage).  Make sure that you have absolutely no less than 10% of total storage of free iPhone.
