Missing drivers for a Satellite Pro A60 PSA65E

Hello

Just to put the hand on this Satellite Pro A60 PSA65E - 01H00U8K.
It was really slow and crashing regularly so I reinstalled windows XP by using a copy of XP I had round lie and the license key at the back of the laptop.
I have not the original CD media provided with calculation, so I used the following link for the
[PSA65E driver on the site of toshiba UK page | http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK&selCategory=8 & selFamily = 193 & selSeries = 239 & selProduct = 537 & selSho rtMod = 384 & language = 13 & selOS = 10 & selType = all & yearupl = DST & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = all Machines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = 8 & pa ge 1 = & startPage = 1 & prevCl = true].

I installed all the drivers and software on this page, but my device manager is always showing three elements as not installed:
Network controller
Modem PCI
SM Bus controller

Can anyone give me specific instructions as to where I could find the drivers for these items? Or that drivers on the driver page to attempt to reinstall!

Thank you very much, Tom

Hello

SM BUS controller-> Flash Media Driver

Network-> driver LAN or WLan controller is
Note: there are various different manufacturers Intel, Atheros WLan drivers, etc.

PCI modem-> you need driver modem.

PS: don't forget that the SP3 of XP Win is installed too.

  • Memory should what upgrade I buy for my Satellite Pro A60?

Hi, I have a Satellite Pro A60 PSA65E, who currently has 192 MB of RAM and 2.8 GHz Celeron processor.

My problem came when I tried to install Adobe Creative Suite 2 on it, but it would not allow me to do so because he needed 384 MB of RAM to run it. I was wondering if someone could tell me what RAM upgrade is compatible with my machine and if it inserted in another port or if I have to get out the old and replace?

    Thank you

    Hello

your laptop is 256 MB internal memory, I'm not sure why it shows only 192 MB. This internal memory can be replaced only by a technician. But you also have a currently unused memory slot, in which you can place a maximum of 1024 MB of RAM.

Here are the modules from Toshiba lets you:
    PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)

  • Vista drivers for new Satellite Pro L670 - 14L

So I have been serching for a laptop of decent game and found: Toshiba Satellite Pro L670 - 14L to be a good combination power/price
but after reading some reviews, I discovered that many people's complaint that the toshiba drivers are not updated.
that seems to be true because the latest drivers for my P300 with 4500 m are 2008!

So, I checked for L670 Vista display drivers and did not find one! Even for Win7 do not seem old already,
is that mean Toshiba is not compatible Vista more? I have to use windows 7 only?

I can see in the specifications of the laptop your laptop came with WIN7 64 BITS HOME PREMIUM.
    Can you confirm this?

Why are you asking about the Vista drivers if you got the new OS to Win7. You want to use Vista or what?
I want to say Win7 is much better than old Vista OS so I put t understand what you exactly want. To use Vista or you ask here for more recent WIn7 display driver?

  • Satellite Pro A60 PSA65E black screen when you wake up from stand-by

    Hello

I have a laptop computer (PSA65E) A60 and I am really slow recently so I decided to reinstall windows XP.

I didn't have the CD that came with the laptop, so I don't know if it was an installation CD or recovery CD.

But I installed WinXP home with SP3 slipstreamed in him with a folder for all the drivers. I installed without any problem and installed the drivers for the wifi, display etc.
And yes it has been activated via windows until someone asks.

In any case when I closed the lid and exploited later I couldn't have the laptop to wake up.

Well it is but with a white screen, the fans start up and I get all the flashing lights on the front, but no display. I had the mouse pointer once but nothing else.

I read a lot of forum posts here on all sorts of ways to fix, but I can't get an any of them to work. Tried to get new drivers, got all of the updates from windows update and the bios is the most recent.

Any ideas on what is happening here, because it is really annoying me.

    Thank you Will

    Hello

To be clear. The notebooks are actually not SP3 supported and if you want to have good work use OS support Windows XP SP2 home edition.

I know what you're probably thinking now but all offered tools and utilities are obviously not designed and tested with SP3.
It is a pity that you n t have Toshiba recovery CD. With the original recovery image, it should work correctly.
Usually these problems are solved with the updates to the BIOS, but if you have a last I really t know what you can try to fix it.

As you can see it is very often problematic to use latest updates on older models of laptop.

  • Replacing the battery for Satellite Pro A60

Can anyone advise where the the best/least expensive place is to get a replacement battery for my satellite pro A60, Ive. Ive left permanently plugged causing the batteries to be tired of apparentrly. If I turn the machine on at full load and nothing doing, the battery will expire in 15 minutes. Replacing the battery is cited as A £99, VAT in addition to toshiba - y at - it somewhere cheaper or better size. ?

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Carol

I put t know where is the cheapest place to purchase the battery, but in my opinion, the offers online are the cheapest.
You can see the Toshiba site options and accessories:
    HTTP://EU.COMPUTERS.TOSHIBA-EUROPE.COM/CGI-BIN/TOSHIBACSG/JSP/OPTIONSANDACCESSORIESHOME.DO?SERVICE=EU&ID=ONLINE _ SHOP

Here, you can select your model of laptop, and you will find the compatible battery.
You didn t write about you model exactly but I think that the battery pack (Li-ion, 12 cells, 6450mAh) with the PA3382U-1BRS part number must be compatible. But check before you buy!

In any case, you could Google for that number and I m you will find many offers online.

  • Satellite Pro A60 PL: message: USB device can run faster

    Hello!

I have a problem with the USB 2.0 drivers in my Satellite Pro A60 PL. everytime when I connect the message apear theres USB 2.0 device this device can run faster. What can I do about it?

    Hi guys

I received the same message. It s not an error but a balloon tip Windows.
I didn't find the reason for this message because my phone supports USB 2.0 ports too and I also connected a USB 2.0 compatible device.

I've tired to remove the Device Manager, the controllers and the USB hubs and updated the Win XP operating system to the last State. I've also updated the driver chipset but sometimes (not always) this message again using a disc HARD 2.5 USB.

I read in some professional computer magazines that this message is normal and it might appears with some SATA external USB hard drives. So you can ignore it.
    It s nothing serious.

  • Satellite Pro A60-138 PSA65E - cannot boot from c WEIRD

    Hello
I bought this laptop on ebay, with no cd or manual.

    Satellite Pro A60 GR
    MODEL PSA65E-01K032GR NUMBER

    Hard drive is formatted.
I tried to install xp, because I start the laptop it just says: "control system.
Then press [F1]. "If I press F1, it tries to read the cd and gives up after a few seconds.

If there is no cd in the cd drive there simply nothing.
I tried to start the bios menu but everything works,(F12,F8,del) key.

Is there something I can do?
installing drivers or anything like that?

    Hello

In order to access the BIOS please press F2, then ESC.
This should load the BIOS and you can change the boot order there.

In addition, you can press F12 at the beginning.
This will allow the menu on the screen where you can choose the STRANGE as a source of start-up.

But are you able to boot from another CD?
The CD/DVD drive is unable to read the disc, and therefore the boot process fails

You could also burn this disc Win XP on another CD and could use the new disk to the start I did with my old laptop because the CD/DVD drive didn't read the old CD.

  • Need latest driver for ATI Radeon 7000 igp - Satellite Pro A60 mobility

Please let me know which ati driver to d/l for my laptop satellite pro a60 en please.

How can I find out what bios version I have installed and which is the latest relevant version for me and windows xp.

    Many thanks steve

    Hi Steven,

You can access the last display on the web site of Toshiba driver. Just click on the tab Support & downloads (Download Files) and then enter the details of your laptop. You can select all drivers or just the display drivers.

You can find out what version of BIOS you have by entering the BIOS during the initial power on the process. Just press the ESC key when the TOSHIBA logo appears, and then press F2 to enter the BIOS configuration panels. Make sure you do not make changes to the BIOS settings unless you really want to. :-) As with the details of the driver, you can access the latest version of the BIOS for notebook on the Web from Toshiba-> Support site @ downloads-> update your BIOS, then just enter the details of your laptop.

    Kind regards
