Missing folder AppData

Miss me the path to address starting by ' AppData\Roaming\Microsoft office\...
When I do a search on the normal template, the address is displayed but when I followed the path, it is not there.
I can just type in the records for the way I want?

You need to enable "Show hidden files and folders".

Open your personal folder (click Start > user account name)
Click on organize > folder and Search Options
View (tab)
Select "show readers, the hidden files and folders".
Click on apply and OK

The window should be updated now, open the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Office

  • What can delete folder AppData?

The AppData folder has three subfolders: roaming, Local, and LocalLow.  The folder uses 10 GB on my drive.  I use CCleaner on several occasions.  I can delete all subfolders?

Some information about the folder AppData here - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/what-appdata-folder it is true that for Windows 8/8.1.

Note of the warning - "we do not recommend move, delete or make changes to the files or folders in the folder AppData.» Doing so could make your applications work wrong or stop working entirely. "

Aside from maybe to delete the temporary files, I personally not would around delete files "at random". 10 GB seems a little high compared to the record of my account which is about 4.4 GB, but I guess that depends on what you have installed and running on your PC. My 4.4 GB about 4 GB is Local, the other two records show 200MB (approximately).

I hope that someone will be able to give you specific advice if the above does not help.

  • Invisible - Missing FOLDER - C:\Documents and Settings (not will appear in Explorer) in Windows 7

Re: Invisible - missing FOLDER - C:\Documents and Settings (not will appear in Explorer) in Windows 7

    Hi all

I have a stable working version of Windows 7 Pro.  (Yes sfc/scannow and chkdsk are 100%)  BUT here's my question and the problem...

Recently, all of a sudden - my file C:\Documents and settings folder (and of course all of the many folders and files it contains) is no longer present in the computer of Windows / Explorer.

Yes - I removed the skin system files in folder options (I'm relatively warned these basic commands) and all my other system hidden files appear perfectly.

Moreover, I KNOW that this directory and the files are still there on the drive, and Yes, they are immediately, when I use the command line (back of the old black box window) in administrator mode.

Once again all the folders and files in C:\documents and settings are always there (using the cd and dir/p orders) when you use the editor command line (cmd).

I even tried to change the parameters of security using Icacls and delivered successfully as Administrators security settings: F and system: F but nothing appears in the Explorer.

I also tried to change the command attrib to this directory with my very basic command-line skills.

The computer still works fine - as many of you probably know the C:\documents and settings folder is really an older and former OS directory now used for programs inherited, replaced by C:\Users... etc.

But why have - so MS put in the OS. There are of course good reasons so - I want show back again.

I tried a system restore but I only got one and it can also have been corrupted since it took me a day or two to notice.

In summary, when a directory and files 'all of a sudden disappear completely' use widely and all days 'window of windows Explorer normal 7' you know that something is badly broken in the operating system.

BTW - Yes all Windows 7 updates made and successful... (no easy feat)

Any ideas out there your technical assistants.

    Thanks in advance

They do, but I do not really recommend yet.  But I at least trust him more than any 3rd party.  It is not a download if it is an online as part of the Windows Live Safety Scanner scanner.

And as I went to look for a link, it seems that safety.live.com now re - headed the new scanner, which is a download :)
I don't think that this news has a record cleaning component.  But as I said, is never necessary.  The invalid entries in the registry do slow down your startup time, or cause any problem, unless of course, you get an error message because another program tried to use an entry invalid.  But automated scanners are much too aggressive.  He thinks that an entry is not used, doesn't mean some program, somewhere, some time want.
  • After re-connected catalog missing folder? MacBook

    Hi all

I had a devil of a time with Lightroom again. I just had to re - format my external hard drives as after updating the OS to El Capitan my external hard drives were ready only and I couldn't change the permissions. They seem to just lock me up. Then... I copied 200 GB of pictures and copied the two computers friends, re-formatted EXFAT (I read was the best format for the use of Mac and windows) and re-copied everything on hard drives again. I realized that I had to help the LR to find the path again, so I opened the back until I had done before all this and all my files were with? Mark as suspects. When I went to locate the missing folder, found the file on the newly formatted drive, it seems to remove from my list of catalog and I don't know where they're going.

I am corresponding to them, but then seem to be losing the file together. I tried to find the folder with the name of the folder, but it never finds.

    I'm doing something wrong here?

    Any advice greatly appreciated

. When I went to locate the missing folder, found the file on the newly formatted drive, it seems to remove from my list of catalog and I don't know where they're going.

They are not deleted, they don't go away. The folder used for the drive there, you said now Lightroom folder is now on drive Z, so if you look in Lightroom under drive Z, it will be there, everything as it should be.

  • One of my Office of mysteriously missing folder? !!

A folder that I had on my desk (with a number of photoshop and jpg files), has apparently disappeared in the air!

(SOMEONE ELSE HAD FOLDERS DISAPPEAR ON THEM BEFORE?!)

I tried to search the names of missing files via the Finder and Spotlight, but nothing came on my missing files. I did not remove this file.

I tried to use some free trial called iSkysoft Date of recovery program, but it will leave you not even get anything, unless you pay a heavy tax. And even then, there was a lot of content to sift through (it was not the name of the original file), so I don't even know if it was there.

It's very frustrating. I just bought the Mac OS X El Capitan a month ago. I work as an artist, and I CAN NOT have just record mysteriously disappear on me.

I am trying to familiarize myself with other useful programs, no iCloud help things back up automatically. (I've not used before).

Also, can someone suggest a perhaps different data recovery program?

    Thanks for any advice.

OS X does not magically records and data, I suspect a user has made a mistake. Open the Recycle Bin to see if the folder and its contents is there. If they are then right-click and select set back and continue your work. If they are missing use your Time Machine backup to restore the folder. If you do not back up the computer and the data are not in the trash she is lost and cannot be recovered. That's why TM exists to avoid any data loss. If you do not use it please get an external HD to start to back up your system. If you are not familiar with TM please click on use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support for more information.

  • My Downlaods, located just above the trash, missing folder

Earlier, I noticed my missing download folder disappeared from my Dock and appeared on my desk. I tried various methods, including "alias". I do not remember what 'method of duplication' last used but suspect it has been "duplicate" and place the file original in the dock and renamed the "double" to match the original.

I noticed today on the dock seems to gather again correctly while the one on the desktop does not collect. What will happen if I removed one of the workstation (there were three of the four icons given to the docking station)? that is something would happen to the docking station, such as the three icons in the desktop as well disappear?

    Sparkgapper

Check your folder for user to ensure that the download folder is there. If so, you can delete the folder on your desktop. I did drag the folder on the dock and replace it by dragging the folder of your user folder / at the dock. Who should go back you to 'Normal '. If all goes well, you can then empty the trash.

  • two of my sent files are missing from windows mail, and I am unable to trace it? Please let me know how to find the missing folder

Until a few days back all sent files has been noticed but suddenly two of the sent files are missing and I am unable to find the same.  I use vista and windows mail.  Please let me know how recover/find missing files.

    Thank you
    Mahesh

Try searching *.eml and make sure you include hidden files and folders in the search parameters.  See also here for the Organization of store message (www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm).  You should be able to use the browser to go to the directory of sent items under the directory of local records and the actual messages will be located there.  It may be useful to compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/) and make sure that everything in the folder, you saw the value. Current view | Show all messages.

  • Missing folder

A folder that I created in Windows Mail, where I put emails has disappeared. All records vanished, is still there. Where would it be.

A user created folder can be easily deleted accidentally. The prompt that asks you if you really want to remove this folder looks very much like asking you if you really want to delete these messages.

You can try this freeware tool. It is often successful if the missing items are fairly recent.

    Hello

    ·        Are you referring to a file that has been copied to the system?

I suggest using a third-party software or you can also contact the local technician if data is lost in the system.

  • Can I delete folder AppData Roaming?

    Original title: AppData Roaming folder

I moved (copy) the AppData Roaming folder on an external drive using the Windows tool in the Panel properties (location tab). Can I now he remove it from my C drive? It takes 10 GB of space and I am running low in the space on my C drive. Running Win 7.

My hard drive is divided into C and d. lecteurC operating system (primarily) and other things/stuff I can't control. All my programs are in D.

"What the system did, he made a copy of the entire folder to the new location of the itinerant, but left the old one in the same place."

Is the current folder, the 'real' Roaming folder, or shortcuts in the "library"?
The 'real' case should have been moved, and that would create a 'library' in the process.

You could try an experiment (assuming that you don't talk to libraries).
Rename the Roaming folder or create a new subfolder in the folder of homelessness and
Move all existing files/sub-sub-sub-folders in it.
Create a new subfolder is perhaps the best option to avoid Windows, create another folder Roaming.
-If you have problems with the software that uses that data and then move the files back in the
    original file of Roaming.

You wouldn't make a lot of disk space HARD that moving the issue of homelessness.
I believe that most people move the folder of the user, or music, videos and photos files if they have
a lot of these files, when requiring more disk space.
