Missing "Mass Storage Controller" M40 software

I just bought a M40-149. When I start the laptop I get a message saying "found new hardware - mass storage controller. Loss of software '
I need to download a driver from somewhere? I tried to put in the recovery CD, but it is said that the required software is not on it.
In addition, my multimedia card reader does not work, is it the same problem or coincidence?

Thanks for all the advice offered, as you realize there are probably, I'm not very HE minded!
See you soon,.
Oliver

Hello Oliver

If you want to solve this problem in the fastest way, you can preinstall your unit with recovery DVDs. All hardware components will be installed correctly on this path. If this isn't the case, you can install the driver using Tools & Utilities CD. All the necessary drivers, you can find on Toshiba download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com.

The problem is that CD tools is not delivered with your device, but you can create it yourself. Start please help Toshiba and click on Fix & Protect. There is an option to create drivers & Tools CD-ROM.

There is no problem just the media card reader must be installed properly in your case.

If you don't have a lot of experience I recommend for preinstalling the operating system using recovery DVDs.

Good bye

I have a Vaio VGN-FE780G. I recently did an update of the new installation of XP to Win7 Home Premium. He works especially OK except that I had two crashes, blue screen when I tried to install Norton 360 2010. I stopped trying and just downloaded the MS. antivirus program To track down the problem I checked the Device Manager. The only driver with an exclamation point is the mass storage controller. It says there is no driver installed. Where can I get this driver?

    Thanks for the help.

I found the driver, saying he's looking for on my computer. He couldn't find it on the internet. I had to have it start to c:\ since I didn't know where it was kept. But eventually he found. I don't know if it was the cause of the blue screen. But I don't think I'll try to install again. I'll just use the MS. antivirus software

  • missing mass storage controller

Hei please help Me.I have Dell VOSTRO 1720 book not Laptp and with windows 7 operating system.there something wrong with the "MASS STORAGE CONTROLLER", I installed Windows 7 and got the update, but not able to install tried mass controller.i storage install in my best but still I can't do it.tell me how to install the control of mass storage for windows 7 Professional in VOSTRO 1720.

After you install an operating system, you must then install the drivers for all your hardware. You are missing the drivers motherboard (chipset). There may also be additional controllers pilots. You get these from Dell website.

Dell Support & drivers - go to the site Web and download/install the drivers and utilities for your operating system from Dell. Be sure to choose the drivers 32 or 64-bit according to the case. Enter your Service tag to get the drivers for your specific model computer.

There are two drivers for chipset for the Vostro 1720.

    Hi emender,

It seems that there is no chipset driver for this motherboard for use with Windows 7.

If you aren't able to find a working driver for the manufacturer, you may not be able to run this version of Windows on this material.

  • Driver Satellite M70-191 mass storage controller is missing

    Hello

I have a Satellite M70-191 (only model PSM70E) laptop and today I tried to use my xd picture card but it does not work.

I checked the device manager ==> system ==> mass storage controller and it seems that the drivers are not installed (code 28).

Any ideas how I can fix this problem?

    thanx

    neo12

    Hello Ioannis

You are 100% sure that the card is compatible with your laptop card reader. Check everything first before using it in the slot!

The missing pilot is available on the European driver Toshiba page.
The Cardbus driver must be installed to get the working card reader.

  • My 25 character product key is not recognized, as well as the mass storage controller is missing.

two problems RY5U870-ImageSensor06 not recognized as mass storage controller is not found

My 25 character product key is not recognized as mass storage controller is missing and a meesage RY5U870_Image Sensor06 is not compatible. I use a computer laptop sony vaio a dell windows vista Home premium 32 - bit boot disk that I got no problem other than the unrecognized product key it for activation of windows has never been made. I hope that I have ave explained it well enough for someone to solve these issues. Dale a lot thanks

The question of activation is because you cannot use a Dell OEM of Windows version to activate on a Sony.

The questions ImageSensor and mass storage controller are likely due to the fact that the Dell installation media is not the device driver appropriate for your Sony computer motherboard.

    Hi Tellgio,

What Toshiba drivers you have reinstalled exactly? I'm pretty sure that you don't have installed all the drivers because you always have a yellow exclamation point in Device Manager
In addition, it would be interesting to know what operating system is installed

I also had a yellow exclamation on mass storage controller and in my case it was a missing card reader driver. If you need to install this driver on Toshiba official site:

  • Vista does not recognize the mass storage controller driver

How can I get microsoft to recognize their own software and files show as my controller driver of mass in diagnostic checks and updates storage?

    * original title - BUG not installed mass storage controller driver *.

I don't really understand your question. The mass storage controller driver is available from the website of your computer mftr. (if you have a machine of brand OEM like HP, Dell, etc.) and is included in the card mother/chipset drivers OR you would get the driver from site of the card mother mftr. If you have a generic construction machine. You don't want to update these drivers from Microsoft Windows Update in all cases. If you installed Windows 7 and that you have not installed these drivers, this is your next step.

    General information on the drivers:

Never get the drivers from Windows Update. Bring:

    1. site of the device mftr. ; OR
    2. site of the card mother mftr. If the material is on board; OR
    3. website of the OEM manufacturer for your specific machine if you have a PC OEM (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.).

Read the installation instructions on the Web site where you get the drivers.

To find out what hardware is in your computer:

    1. read all documentation that you got when you purchased the computer.
    2. If the computer is OEM, access the site Web of the OEM for your specific model machine and look at the specs (you'll be there to get the drivers anyway)
    3. download, install and run a program of inventory of the free system like Belarc Advisor or System Information for Windows.

  • Need for Equium A110-147 mass storage controller

Hello. I have a satellite A110-147 running windows7 ultimate with 2 GB of ram and a 500 g hard drive.

In other devices in Device Manager, I learned that my mass storage controller drivers are not installed. When I try to update the drivers, I am told that drivers could not be found on my computer or on the web.

I would apreciate to help on that if possible please.

    Hey,.

If you n t post the seller and IDENTIFICATION of the device it is difficult to say which driver you need

Theoretically, mass storage controller could be linked to the internal card reader module. You can download it from the official website of Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

But I think that you must find for the Vista drivers as Equium A110 doesn t supports Windows 7, Vista only.
And you must search in * Archives * driver download page because it s an older model. ;)

  • Re: Satellite Pro U400-11V - mass storage controller

Whenever I turn on the camera, I get the message "New hardware" about "mass storage controller".

    How can I fix it?

Research on driver downloads is not one for this name.

It's strange. I mean when a certain piece of hardware is correctly installed, it is done with the installation.

A question: did you install your own operating system or what? Is when the operating system is installed with the Toshiba recovery image, this message will not appear.
