  I have a new server HP Proliant ML150 Gen9 running Windows Server 2012.  I have a UPS 1500VA on it.  The server derives about 10% of the battery capacity, so I have 50-60 minutes of backup power.  The problem is, every time I cut the AC power to the inverter (or he falls for some reason any), the server shuts down and restarts.  There is nothing wrong with the inverter.  I have tested the UPS system, as well as tested the server with a second UPS 1500VA.  Whenever the AC power in the UPS turns off, the server drops and then restarts.  Why this is happening and how to fix it so that the server does not restart, but continues to operate?  It is the power of the battery in the ups, then why is it stall?

  ESXi installed is HP Custom OEM version (VMware-ESXi-5.1.0-799733-HP-5.34.23) downloaded from the VMware website updated using deposit files (VMware-ESXi-5.1.0-Update1-1065491-HP-5.50.26-depot) to the latest version available.

  There are 2 networks on the box. A network is to communicate with all machines and the other network is connected to Port #2 of Drobo B800i iSCSI SAN.

  ESXi box connects to 2 TB LUNS on Drobo B800i multi-cluster via the San, creating a SAN for ESXi data store.

  There are 2 virtual machines installed on ESXi box. A Windows 2012 server and other Windows 7.

  2012 Windows server VM is stored directly on the SAN data store and connects to the NTFS LUN on Drobo using Microsoft iSCSI adapter and the drive mapping is shared using NFS essentially as a file server.

  Window 7 VM is stored on the data store HP IO accelerator. When I copy any file to a local drive on Windows 7 virtual computer to an NFS share on Server Windows 2012, I'm pink screen of death (CMTF) with Exception 14 PF.

  Any help to identify the root cause of this problem is greatly appreciated.

  I have problems when turning vm on the server would be CMTF.

  I agree that the product should not CMTF when executed on unsupported hardware. He must raise an error or exception gracefully. To extract information from vmkernel zdump file, you can use vmkdump utility. Still, there are several log files that can also be very useful when debugging of the reasons for the GROUP.

  I have a problem with a server ESXi I built recently, this is CMTF ' ing every few hours.

  I've attached screenshots of it, if someone could take a look and see if they can identify what could be the issue here I would appreciate immensely!

  I am run memtest86 and it came with the error attached almost instantly, amd running again now and it goes for an hour without any errors (so far).

  looking at GROUP 1 is like a CPU problem?  Would you agree?    or do I have a faulty RAM stick in there?

  I use the operating system version specific HP ProLiant ESXi 4.1 U1. The system is a HP ProLiant ML370 G6/w 10 GB RAM & 1.2 TB of SAS drive.

  Also - is someone explain drivers HP NMI for me... ?  their writing to the top reading, it seems that these could be triggering the GROUP?  rather than continue running and logging the problem... surely it is better to connect and continue?

  I have a feeling that it is something more of a CPU. I suggest to remove all of the memory and let the minimum RAM available and test through memtest. Add a module after each test, until the error is encountered. from there, you can isolate which module has the fault. If you have vmware support, they would be able to identify the very fast error...

  One of my esx server went down and appears purple (CMTF). I've attached a screenshot of the CMTF. It would be great, if someone tell me about the cause of this problem and how can I get rid of this. Yet I can't make the server up. If your answer will be is going to be a big hint to compensate for this.

  It is said that he cannot talk to CPU 0 physical, he needs to run ESX.

  Looks like you have some sort of HW problem associated with CPU0.   I had this kind of thing happen to me when a bad power regulator module failed for CPU socket 1.  HP has replaced the module and everything was fine.

  I am some of our old blades (bl460c G8 and G9 passed without a hitch) upgraded to esxi5.5, but the installer crashes.

  I tried every update of the 5.1 and 5.5 custom images HP, nothing helps.

  Installer seems to run, but group then, as soon as the network drivers load (this is what I concluded). I applied the latest Proliant (2015.10.0) service pack, so firmwares are as up-to-date as possible (interesting note: with firmware older 2011 host installed successfully, but the network was unusable)

  That's what really happened:

  • The management of OA mutilated somehow update firmware, specifically the emulex driver, which made unusable and almost non-updatable
