• Modbus %2 oven C expedition, and Protocol No. 3

  I have a sending oven that uses the Protocol No. 3, which communicate using Modbus over RS485.  I use the Modbus Library, I found the Forum and I'm still with the controller communication disorders.  I use a USB RS485 converter and my converter is set to half duplex 2 wire without echo.  I'm able to convey, but receives a message back from the oven.  Does anyone have any experience or any idea on how to use LabVIEW with this equipment?

  I was able to shoot bad installation and concluded that the oven has come to us by cable to the rear, is to remedy the situation and the Modbus communicates well.  Thanks for the replies!

• Dual WAN router and protocol binding

  Hello! I'm trying to find a dual WAN router with support VPN, which allow me to redirect part of the traffic to a specific port WAN and balancing of this specific traffic in the case of this WAN failure (the latter is preferred but is not entirely necessary) load.

  RV042/G could help me with this? In this case, allow redirection Protocol only? What port/ip forwarding? Or some sort of filtering of packets to redirect to specific WAN ports?

  Maybe I need another router in the conduct of business?

  Hi Jose, RV0XX model (g) supports a protocol source LAN link to extended network destination set. It can be a host of high-end LAN or a single host LAN. It may be the customer service or all services. In the case of a failure of network SCOPE, all links in the Protocol are "ignored" and switch to the active WAN until normal operation is restored.

  Hello all, there

  We are trying to migrate from Checkpoint to PIX on 7.0.4. Hit a bit of a problem:

  PIX allows the creation of groups of objects of different types. I am trying to create a group (called "test-group"), and it must contain the protocols I need it. Here is the ah, esp, and SKIP.

  However, only ah and esp are present. Is it possible to create JUMP?

• Outlook rules and Protocol for sending attachments.

  Using Windows XP, Outlook for my email Manager, I am unable to send large files (i.e. multimegabit) or several large files, without getting a message stating that the files are too big.

  Outlook can be changed to allow multiple large files be sent at the same time, rather than having to send several emails with smaller files?

  It's probably a limit to your email hosting provider and no prospects.  You should check with your e-mail provider and see what they have to say about the limits.

  It would also, possibly, a limit of the person you are sending to.  Not for all the server will accept very large attachments.

  If you work with 32-bit numbers in need of two registers, then what you already do with numbers to reach work.   Read 2 registers from 256, contact numbers, and you'll have nonexercising total power.

  If you read only 1 register, then you will have a table of 1 item.  Decimate this table and joining the numbers don't make any sense.  You'd read comes directly from the registry.

  What is the description of the error for 6002?

  I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to read an address greater than 30.

• Deal with failure when using LabVIEW 2011 and DSC MODBUS communication

  I'm currently reading from operating records a PLC with MODBUS/TCP. I confirmed that the PLC will update the values and in response to a MODBUS communication correctly by using a third-party program called Modbus Poll. However, when I try to query the PLC using the LabVIEW shared variable engine, I am unable to read the values of the same addresses that I consult with Modbus Poll.

  My installation is simply to a PC directly connected to the controller via Ethernet without a router between the two. I'm using LabVIEW 2011 SP1 with the DSC module.

  I opened the Manager of distributed systems OR to display the State of all variables in the Modbus Library that I created, and I noticed that the ILO CommFail permanently the value 'true '. All other variables with a 'read' access mode signal "failure of process". I tried to restart the process and stop and start the local variable engine without success. I also restarted my computer several times to see if any services did not exist, but this does not appear to have solved the problem.

  Finally, I resorted to listening to communications on the network card I have the PLC connected via Ethernet using Wireshark and found that while Modbus Poll communicates with PLC, number of MODBUS and TCP packet is sent and received. However, when using only LabVIEW or the DSM OR communicate with the controller, there don't seem to be any communication on the network card.

  Something that may be interesting to note is that I could communicate with the PLC and to read values with the DSM just once, when I understood everything first what address I should be reading of. All of this has stopped working shortly after. Prior to this, 'CommFail' was not generally set to 'true' with my current setup. Thinking it was my firewall, I have since disabled my firewall, but this seems to have had no effect on the problem either.

  Any help on this would be appreciated.

  So, I thought about it. It turns out that the IP address of the server i/o MODBUS must be set to the address of the MODBUS slave, not the local computer. The address of the i/o MODBUS server is defined by the navigation in the Explorer window projects, expanding the variable engine shared library for MODBUS and right click on the server MODBUS (for example Modbus1) item and select Properties.

  In addition, the addresses seem to be shifted by + 1.

  I'm looking to see if someone has used the GS2 Direct Drive and LabView automation and has a VI workign? I searched on Modbus over RS485 that uses the GS2 and I looked at the .vi Modbus Library. Correlate all that in a single coherent thought seems to have escape. I'm new on LabView and never seen before Modbus and I have a calendar that is very short to get something. Even if all .vi did was to start and stop the engine, I would be happy. Then I could set up the rest.

  Figured it out finally. I have attached two VI. Read records and one for write to registers with notes on how to stop and start the car.

  I'm new to Labview and am currently writing a code in Labview and I the Modbus communication protocol. I want to be able to send messeges through labview code and ask the inverters, which is connected to the PV modules, for give me data and he just send me the data. This will be a RS 232 communication.

  Both ends enough to define the same thing. For the physical connection, you need a null-modem (tx and rx exchanged) cable.

  Why would anyone use series for communication between 2 pc instead of an ethernet connection?

  I am trying to connect to a temperature logger series Omega ir2c without success. I just talk to Omega, and they think that the problem is that the amount of data that produced this series does not match normal Modbus quantity if I get modbus, exception code 3 (which means just illegal data value).  I need to try to disable checking of errors for the drivers of modbus standard labview but cannot find a way.  Any ideas?

  Just to follow up on that.  I found myself basically abondoning Modbus and helps companies Newport protocol instead.  Then he worked really easily.  I'm sure that the way they built their orders of modbus was causing the error and has not been standardized.

  Our Chief Engineer gave me a task yesterday. He asked me to make testing of software and to calculate the error rate binary we would like to know our stability of communication.

  However, I never touched this aspect of knowledge. I know a bit about the CVI and I want to write code with CVI bit error rate. So I could test the stability of the communication.

  But I don't know how to analyze and judge the receivers codes, whether they are good or bad.

  We use the Modbus communication protocol and receive data via a port series, so I want to back up all the data and record the total number of datas, marking as M.

  then, save the eligible data and save the number marking as N. Thus, the error rate is binary/m (M - N).

  If it's doable? Or you have a good idea. Thank you very much.
