Mode 'sleep' do not wake up completely

When I put a computer in standby mode and try to use it again, I can see the screen is back, but it seems like suspended above the clouds. I need a flashlight to see it. When I turn it off and turn it back on again, then the screen is normal.

Hello

Well, if the problem is hardware, you need to work with HP Support or a real computer store (one
"making his own service in the workshop). You cannot fix the hardware with the software.

  • Vista ghoes mode 'sleep' will not 'wake up '.

    Vista starts without a problem.  Without warning the display disappears and I am unable to see anything including the cursor. At first I thought the BONE broke, but now I think it's just going to go to sleep on her own and refusing to "wake up" when I move the mouse.  I tried several diagnostic tools on the computer, but everything seems to be OK.  The first time it happened I was using a projecter and display of powerpoint slides. Is it possible to disable the "sleep" function to see if my theory is correct? Or you have a better idea?

    First option

    It seems that your computer can be set the hibernation mode. The main reason that he would do that automatically would be because your battery level is extremely low. Try plugging your computer or insert a charged battery and release, and then press the power button a times, the computer usually does not work in the movement of the mouse in Hibernation Mode.

    Do not forget that, once the laptop goes into hibernation, you should not interrupt the process by removing the battery until the hard drive and all the other lights stop flashing and power off. Once they have fed completely down (may take a few minutes) you can exchange the batteries safely. To wake up from hibernation, press and release the power (once) button. Function of various factors, your laptop can take 1 to 5 minutes to return to the login screen, although usually, it will be one or two minutes, not five.
    Second option
    If the power is not a problem, but you leave your computer on all using it does not, he can simply go to mode hibernation as part of its power system management. You can change the settings for diagram of power to your needs as follows:

    Place your mouse over the the battery icon on the taskbar and right click.

    Select "Power Options".

    (You can also access power options through the control panel: start > Control Panel > system and Maintenance > Power Options.)

    According to the plan used on your computer, click on "Change Plan settings".

    Change the settings for sleep and Disply offered as you wish.
    Click on the link "Change advanced power settings" (near the bottom of the window".

    Scroll through the list at the entrance to 'Sleep' and expand it. Expand secondary entrances and change the settings as you wish. Look at the rest of the settings on the list as to make the desired changes. Click on 'Ok '.

    Click "Save".
    If this does not resolve the problem, please let us know.

  • dv7-4170us mode 'sleep' will not wake up

    I have a dv7-4170us which is out of warranty and a dead battery. I can't the computer to wake from sleep mode.

    I removed the battery, battery cmos, the hard drive and cd-rom drive. Nothing don't wake you this thing!

    The wifi light is orange, the caps lock is flashing. The mute button is not lit.  Digital lock is not a light.

    Nothing, not even a mouse, is plugged into the laptop.

    Processors go really wrong that often, but it happens. Unfortunately, most people have a portable alternative to plug the CPU in a test.  On the other hand, the Systemboards are less Hardy. If you remove the hard drive and try to boot and BIOS complains that there is no operating system, the BIOS has tested the CPU and it is OK. If it not yet come to this...

    If she wakes with a hard reset it is, unfortunately, usually the end of the line.

  • Windows 8 beds but will not wake up completely

    When I try to activate windows 8 after it has expired, or even when I ordered the "sleep mode", I can't all programs on the taskbar to come high std office format.

    For example, I can move the mouse over the program in the taskbar, and it will show a preview of an already open window window.  When I click on this window to open it, nothing happens.  It will allow me to close them, but they won't open

    Also noted that the shortcuts that should be on the desktop are not present.

    I go to the page of tiles to open programs, this icon on the taskbar works / opens but nothing else does.

    I feel stupid, of course the key covered Windows.  One who doesn't look like not to logo waving alumni.  I have it!

    This story is a little complicated.  The motherboard is replaced and now the Ethernet connection is summary which is more than I had before, so I contact the same technology and it was decided that the pilot must be corrupted.  The tech recharge the Ethernet adapter driver.  Ethernet works now.

    During the process of restarting the Ethernet driver, the monitor shows a very nice blue screen deep.  That's all!  The tech had me do a series of things including the thing F-12 and diagnostics.  The wiring monitor comes up with an error.

    The tech asked me how many cables is connected, I said 4.  He me disconnect everything except HDMI and power.  OK, I thought I knew the meaning of Dell photo pretty well when I hung it, but it is the first touchscreen, I never had.  However, now the screen shows the top of office.

    What I was not trying, at the time, was the touch screen which is said by the way, doesn't work now.

    I'm going now to contact Dell support again and try to correct this problem.

    I'm still not closing or not, all this has a relationship with the awake problem I lived originally.

    Stay tuned, I'm sure it'll work everything.

  • Black screen HP Elitebook 850 after the mode 'sleep'

    Hello

    I have a HP Elitebook 850, which is about 3 weeks old. It is running Windows 8.1 with most of the HP software, which is available for this model, installed.

    Once the laptop goes into mode 'sleep' may not wake up for some reason any. The screen remains black and seeing everything seems normal. The only thing to do is either ctr + alt + delete to restart or shutdown forced by using the power button.

    Any ideas?

    Best regards

    Has exactly the same problem.  Called HP support.  They said that I needed to downgrade the video driver I was using.

    Specifically they asked me to check the version of the video driver first:

    1. Start screen, type "Device Manager" and then click to open Device Manager.
    2. In Device Manager, expand "graphics cards".  There were two shown:
      Radeon (TM) AMD HD 8500/8700 M M
      Intel(r) HD Graphics Family
    3. They asked me to double click on the graphics card Intel.  The dialog box properties open;
    4. On the tab driver properties dialog box, check the Version of the driver.  Mine was 10.18.10.3379.

    HP support and then asked me to download an older version of the driver, 10.18.10.3316.  Here's how:

    (1) on the laptop in question go to hp.com;

    (2) in the Help menu of hp.com, click Download drivers;

    (3) search by product: Enter 'Elitebook 850 G1' and press Go.

    (4) multiple results will come to the top, select the one that says 'HP EliteBook 850 G1 Base model Notebook PC';

    (5) to select the operating system: "Windows 8.1 (64-bit);

    (6) from the Index to download, select 'drivers - Graphics ';

    (7) tΘlΘcharger "Driver Intel video and control panel (International)" version 10.18.10.3316, November 15, 2013.  It's a big download, 158 MB.

    Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to install it.  If you get a dialog box warning you install an earlier version of the driver that is currently installed, click Yes to continue.

    After you have installed the version 10.18.10.3316 driver, I restarted the laptop.

    To test whether the fix had worked I open a text editor and entered the text without saving it (it was to see if the unsaved document would still exist after that the laptop computer woke up from his sleep).  I then put the laptop to sleep by closing the form.  When I opened it again the light behind the power button has been slowly pulsed on and outside and the screen was black.  Based on the presented power button the laptop out of fashion 'sleep' and return to the lock for recording screen in.  Once connected, I found that the unsaved document was still open for the laptop had obviously just slept and rather than restarted rewoken.

    I hope this helps.

  • Vista wakes up immediately mode 'sleep' and then at irregular intervals

    When our standard Dell Vista machine is put into mode 'sleep' almost always wakes up in 30 seconds approximately. It is in "standby mode" for more than a few minutes it then randomly wakes at other times.

    There is no scheduled tasks or updates running during these times so I don't know why he wakes up so often. SP1 has been applied and its updated with patches.

    Anyone know why the mode 'sleep' is more than a NAP of 10 seconds?

  • All-in-one Officejet 4620 HP loses connection wireless network when it starts in mode 'sleep'

    My printer HP 4620 all-in-one wireless works fine until it enters mode "Eve".  Once it goes into sleep mode, it is not wake up if a print job is sent to it.  If I wake up it manually by pressing the power button flashing, she does still not print.  If I've completely put off and then on again, the print job that has been put on hold on my computer will start printing, but it's a huge pain and loss of time almost everytime I want to print.  I installed all available updates.  I also assigned a static IP address in an effort to correct this, but nothing helped.  I see that others have complained about this problem, but I see not that anyone has had success resolving this.  My operating system is Windows Vista.  I use a Sys-Link Wireless G Router.  Thank you.

    Ok.  My printer worked flawlessly for a few days, and I think I can declare the problem solved.  I think the problem started when I applied a HP recommended workaround for a different problem, that is, HPNetworkCommunicator.exe kept running and goes out 10-15 seconds, with the cursor displays activities whenever the program is running.  When I reversed this workaround solution, solve the problem wireless (but of course, I had once more the annoying problem with HPNetworkCommunicator.exe).  I then discovered that HP had published a software release that fixes the problem with HPNetworkCommunicator.exe.  I installed the new version of the software.  HPNetworkCommunicator.exe is now fixed, and my wireless connection remains stable even when the printer goes to sleep.

  • T500 does not wake from sleep mode

    My T500 (2241-3XU with Win 7 64 bit Ultimate) has never been able to wake mode 'sleep', once the lid is closed. I have finally returned to the use of hibernation, but I was just wondering if there is a new patch that I'm not aware of. I tried to find info a few years back before hibernation. Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Try to install the latest version on it. 1.62 should collaborate with the T500 however.

    You can also see if your BIOS is up to date.

  • Monitor intermittently do not wake from sleep mode

    I have a new Pavilion 500 - 205t Windows 7 Desktop (two weeks).  Two days earlier, after the computer is in mode 'sleep', the computer would wake up, but the screen would not.  I contacted HP Support and they said not to put the computer in mode 'sleep', but to turn it off instead.  They said that the computer could accumulate a static charge which could prevent the monitor to wake up from sleep mode.  Their solution was to force a shutdown by pressing the power switch, unplug at the back of the Tower, by pressing the power switch for 20 seconds, plug everything back in and then turn on the computer.  The monitor worked correctly then wake up from sleep mode.  For the last two days, the computer would wake properly from sleep mode.  Today, the same thing happens again.  This time, I turned off the computer and then he turned back to (without unplugging everything) and the monitor worked correctly.

    Here's my question:

    Is it really a static problem? (It has been cold and dry here for several weeks and static is high)  Or I have a hardware problem or software that needs to be fixed?  Thank you for your time.

    I think I found the solution to this problem for my computer.  I changed the settings for sleep or sleep 'Hybrid' or 'Hibernate' is allowed.  Since then, I have not experienced the problem.  I also changed what does the power button, so that when I press the power button, the computer shuts down normally.  This prevents a "forced" shutdown if the problem happens again.

    Thanks again Bill, for your time.  I mark this problem is resolved.
