Model of rewritable disc of EZ - DUB DVD/CD LiteOn DX-20A4PU

Ive tried fixin the problem with ppl from Liteon and said ask me yall. I copyed and pasted into what I was talkin to their topic
Cody: I have a model ez - dub: 20a4pu
Technical support: you briefly describe your problem?
Cody: and when I arrived at my device manager it says that the driver for this device are not installed (code28)
Cody: my computer is windows vista runin
Technical support: have you been in any of the registry?
Technical support: Editor
Cody: Yes I did the last time that I talk to yall and ive removed this yall said. and then I restarted my computer
Cody: and he always says the same thang
Technical support: one moment please.
Cody: ok
Technical support: you remove the upper and lower filters
Cody: I deleted the upper part, which was the only one in the register that yall was on the list for me to remove
Technical support: can go back us to the moment the registry editor and verify
Cody: a moment
Cody: how open TI once again
Technical support: type regedit in the search bar
Cody: ok
Cody: ok
Technical support: click on the plus sign (+) next to the following folders * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE * SYSTEM * CurrentControlSet * Control * class * {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Cody: this is the type of file REG_SZ
Cody: Hello
Technical support: hang on...
Cody: what I NEED TO DO!
Technical support: can hold you, we try to find an answer to your question
Cody: OK
Technical support: you must contact Windows this topic. Because the error code 28 is a generic Windows driver problem. Only windows will be able to help you solve the problem. We have no drivers, that you can download. If you do not call Windows, you can try to do a system restore or do a recovery system by using the Windows disk. >

now when I go to Device Manager, it shows another device with a small yellow Panel. OK I rigth click above, then click on set to update driver, then I chose to let go online to update the software. He said software was found and install it. then he says met windows Aproblematique installing the driver software for your device... There is a usb icon, it says usb mass storage device... access is denied!

OK so I go into the properties of the device and it says:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

Access is denied.

To reinstall the drivers for this device, click on reinstall.

Hello

Lite-on should have been able to give the exact registry entries necessary for this drive
(not only the filters).

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

To install the drivers for this device, click Update driver, which starts the upgrade wizard to update the material.
-Device Manager, double-click the device CD/DVD - tab of the driver.

================================================================

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the drive appears not to continue
below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your system manufacturer Maker and device for firmware updates as possible and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
the parameters.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

    Hello

    Whenever I have to play the game, I have to insert the disc 2 in my DVD ROM despite installing the game on my hard drive.
    Can someone help me with a cure for this (IE run the game without the CD?) I can run Microsoft Flight simulator without inserting the DVD in my DVD-rom.

    original title: query on Microsoft Train Simulator 2001

    I suspect that the game has Digital Rights Management in there (i.e., copy protection) and it checks for you ensure that you physically have the disc so that he knows that you are not a thief.  Many providers of game assumes that you are a thief and you prove that you're not demanding that the disc is in the DVD player when the game takes place.  What I do is to use a program like Alcohol 52%, a free program that can make a copy of a DVD/CD and include in the image copy protection so that you can use a DVD player virtual to mount the image file instead of having the real DVD mounted in a real drive.

  • How to finalize a disc (CD - R and DVD +/-R) using Windows?

    Hello:

    How to "finalize" a disc (CD - R and DVD +/-R) using Windows?

    I want to finalize the disc... not simply close the session/disc.

    What I read in the help Windows, "closing" allows me to write on the disc later.

    Is this true, if the disc is just R, RW not?

    I burned the JPEG images (.jpg files) on CD - R and DVD + R discs.

    When I try to read them in my Sony CD/DVD player, it does not recognize the discs.

    The Sony user manual said that records must be "finalized", not just "closed".

    What do you mean with Windows?

    I have treid finalize these discs with Roxio Creator Basic, but it does nothing, except eject discs.

    Windows has always said that disks have free space, and the DVD player is unable to recognize them.

    As I understand it, if the disc is finalized, will show him no available free space.  Is this correct?

    Note: The discs work fine on my HP laptop which uses Vista 32 bit Home Premium.  I can see JPEG images.

    Thank you...

  • When I place a disc in my CD - DVD player, it says that it cannot read the media.

    I use a Windows 7 computer and everytime I put a DVD in the drive, it says that it cannot read the disk media. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it, I also tried the Player update. The computer realizes that the drive is in the computer, but it will not play any DVD or CD. Anyone know how I can get running without having to disassemble the computer?

    Clean the disc with a DVD cleaning disc, available in most stores and retail businesses.  If this fails so that the reader has probably not and must be replaced.

  • My computer has ceased to recognize drives of games like games, they are called rewritable discs.

    My computer has ceased to recognize drives of games like games, they are called the re-writable discs and will not give me the option to do something else that import photos or open files.

    I managed to install the game by going into the files and setting up manually, however the game refuses to play. This has never happened before, but seems to be perform two games, (a new game I am trying to install and an old, often played the game, which is no longer recognized).

    I'm not sure it's related, but this computer has a trojan virus not long ago who was a pain to get rid of. I'm sure it's over now, but I thought that it is preferable to include in the case where he shed light.

    I don't know what to do now. I've uninstalled and restarted the driver for the cd/dvd. This made no difference. Help, please.

    Thank you for your suggestions, but none of the above helped. I've fixed since the question.

    Thank God, the computer is a dell, I was able to live chat with their technicians and they walked me through different types of solutions until we found where the problem was.

    The computer if it not so long ago a trojan that messed with some of the readers leaving them unable to recognize media of any kind as something other than files to open. We had to do a clean install of the operating system, which was the heart break because there was a risk of losing anything we forgot to back up and took forever to completely reinstall all the drivers and software on the computer.

    The hard drive works fine now, we are relieved and grateful for all the help.

  • Why won't my slide show disc play on my DVD recorder?

    I created a photo slideshow in PSE6.0 and it burned on a CD - RW disc according to the instructions of the program.  When I put the disc in the DVD burner, it tells me that it cannot read the disc.  I called Panasonic, the manufacturer of the recorder.  They tell me that my disc must be "finalized" so that the recorder in order to treat it.  Does anyone know what finalize talks and how to do it?  Thank you.

    Larry and 99ion,

    I think that the process simpler for Larry try is a slight variation on the last paragraph of the post of 99ion.  If it is possible will depend on what variation of Windows is installed. And the process can be even simpler by using only Windows Movie Maker not - rather skip the output of the editor for PES Windows DVD maker slide show. Even if this isn't my normal process, I tried it on Vista Home Premium and it worked.

    Larry,

    1. If you have a burner, DVD, and Vista Home Premium (or another variant of Windows that supports the creation of a DVD-video), I think that the simplest action plan is to use Windows DVD Maker.

    -In the PSE slideshow Editor, make an output to the file, save it as a WMV file and choose the size setting of the DVD, and the United States on DVD NTSC, PAL if your country TV is PAL.

    - Then in the creation of Windows DVD, add this file WMV of PSE as a 'film' and follow the steps for making the playable DVD TV and burn it to a DVD cisd.

    2. If the program Windows DVD Maker is not available (as if the operating system is Windows XP), then you should check the other software as discussed 99ion.

    3 - Returning to the question of what no doubt spent in your first attempt with your CD - RW and the PSE slideshow Editor

    Because you used a CD - RW you most likely created the video CD format as output of the PSE slideshow Editor. You should check your manual for the Panasonic owner or other documentation both to check if it can read CD - RW discs (probably yes) and if it can read the video CD format (questionable because all TV DVD players or recorders can play this format).   However, I might save you the trouble of research on these issues BECAUSE this video CD format is if low resolution than most people find his poor and unacceptable display quality.

  • can't see MP3 disc on the CD/DVD drive - I just see it file and no disc displayed. There is no error message; all other disks, file types work very well!

    And I already tried the MS Utility to solve this problem.  She could not do - he asked me to insert a readable disc (when he could not see the MP3), so insert another disc that was readable.  Completed the "patches" then the last section inquire whether or not the problem was resolved in effect, I answered no.  I did have success as a result of the Microsoft community' suggestion that he left me with.

    You have this problem with just this one CD?

    The CD may be damaged or dirty. Some readers may handle these CDs better than others, so it is perfectly possible that a player can still play the CD, while others do not. I suggest that you create a new copy of the CD on an other machines it can still be read.

  • Model query rewriting, CLOSE, max_span

    Hi all

    I tried looking for this answer, so I hope that I have not forgotten the solution in the forum.

    For a query such as the following, how would I set the max_span value with NEAR?
    select id from docs where CONTAINS (text,
     '<query>
       <textquery lang="ENGLISH" grammar="CONTEXT"> kukui nut
         <progression>
           <seq><rewrite>transform((TOKENS, "${", "}", "AND"))</rewrite></seq>
           <seq><rewrite>transform((TOKENS, "${", "}", "NEAR"))</rewrite></seq>
         </progression>
       </textquery>
      <score datatype="INTEGER" algorithm="COUNT"/>
    </query>')>0;
    The following was something I tried to set the value of max_span to 20 words, but not surprisingly, it did not work :)
    <seq><rewrite>transform((TOKENS, "${", "}", "NEAR", "20"))</rewrite></seq>
    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hello

    I think that it is not possible in this way. If you look at the description of the TRANSFORMATION function:

    TRANSFORM((terms, prefix, suffix, connector))

    so I don't see any possibility to form TOKENS to something like ' near ((token1,token2), 20). It is not possible with this function.

    Maybe the only opportunity to do automatically is perhaps to use a self written function that returns the text of your rewrite.

    select id from docs where CONTAINS (text,
    your_rewrite_function('kukui nut') ) > 0

    In your_rewrite_function, you return a valid syntax.

  • How to use a blank disc DVD-R as a USB flash drive?

    Hi all! I'm running Mac OS X 10.9.5 on my MacBook Pro and I was wondering how I could use a blank DVD-R disc as a form of rewriting for documents, music, spreadsheets, etc. ? My mac Let's burn me to the disc, but I can't rewrite to it after that. Help, please!

    They don't work that way. Rewritable means simply you can erase the disc and use it again. You can't write it during normal use of the disk. This, to a USB flash drive.

    To be same rewritable, you can use a DVD - RW, DVD - r not it is not rewritable. You can look for third-party software that allow you to use the drive as a flash drive, but I am not sure that these programs exist. Not much need for it.
