Models and new CSS IDs

I am relatively new to web design, so it can be very simple, but I'm having a lot of trouble.

I'm creating a Web site for a magazine. I made a model with a container, header, navbar, body and footer using CSS layouts, and then I did the content of the div to the body of the combo box. My understanding is that the < head > section is editable by default, but I can't make new css (for example #container #body p) rules, and I can't change the title (so each page displays "maintemplate" unless I have change in the model itself, after which he will always be the same for all pages). What I have to do something to make the head one area editable, or should I set all my possible CSS rules in the model?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It is the sign of a bad model.

Before make you any more make sure you see a cached version of the web page in the browser. This could be a reason why the new css styles are not displayed to the top.

If this isn't the case then how you want the new css styesheet? You say that you work with a "model"? The main template is a file that has an extension .dwt extension not .html or .php. You have one of these?

What happens when you look at fashion code in the index.php file. You see many greyed code on which you cannot select?

If you set the href of the link external css editable, you
don't have to remember to put it when you make a new page of the child.

It will use the default value that you set when you created the combo box.

With the code above in the head of a model, each page of the child it will be
    get this code:

    This ===>
Untitled.CSS in SOME directory the file of the child is in. Who is

Yes, it is modifiable in the pages of the child using model properties...

  • Lose a client of BC on models and mobile compatibility issues.

I designed this site before BC had mobile compatible models. The customer is facing serious problems with the site due to the incompatibility of the submenus multi level and albums that do not work with mobile phone.  I was forced to create a separate CSS menu system and templates for the mobile version, but this means that menu systems are not dynamic or set to update automatically.   Previously, you were not able to replace the models by default BC with new ones, as you can do in WordPress.    Because of these problems, my client is thought to leave BC completely.    Do you have any recommendations?  I could design a site that meets from scratch as I do to sites non - bc, but wonder about the compatibility issues to replace the current models and how they will work with models of system and e-commerce of BC.  (The lightbox problem is with thumbnails in catalogs!)  When we started, we had only about 30% of mobile phones, but now we are up to 84%.  It is easier to trash the entire site and start from scratch than to try to make the former model compatible with mobile phone!

When I started in BC, I was impressed at first, but more I worked with it, more frustrated that I became and ceased to recommend with the exception of the simplest e-commerce sites.   British Colombia is far behind the curve of development on mobility from the very beginning.

This is false, since you only option menu CSS/HTML and layouts for this in menu v2, you can do any type of menu and menus adapted or separate layouts templates/mobile. BC does not limit you at all in the menu.

With even more control of the liquid so there is nothing you can't do.

  • Need help - updated model removes my css links

    Hello

I created a template and from this template, I created a new html page.

Later, I added a text spry validation.

Whne that I came saved the new HTML that Dreamweaver asked to record the new CSC files as well:

    Under SpryAssets he saved: SpryValidationTextField.scc

Looking at the "all rules" I could see the SpryValidationTextField and the validation form looked OK as can be seen below.

    before1.jpg

Later, I edited my template and update the HTML above, that was. related to the model.

I appears as if the update deleted the link to the SpryValidationTextField.scc file and process my left in default state page, as seen below: SpryValidationTextField is no longer show on the rule "all" and the validation text seems wrong:

    after1.jpg

Why the model remove required processes update css links and how do I prevent it?

DW are you using and DW created this model?  A DW template successfully created has two regions editable in the head-

    1. an editable region called "doctitle" wrapped around the title tag.

    2. an editable region called "head" at the bottom of the cephalic region.

Yours doesn't have.  Did you remove them by chance?  They SHOULD be here.  Please try this-

Create a new page and immediately use the FILE | Save as template... to save the page with a name not used.  Review the code in the cephalic region.  Make your current model have the same editable regions in the head, in the same places.  Save the current model and let it update your child pages.

Now try adding the Spry element to your child page.  Happened past best?

  • import of page loses references of region model and the page template

I have a dev and test environment. The test workspace is an export of the workspace of dev. Both applications have the same id app.

I export a dev page and import to test. This works.

I run the test page and the page does not. When I had the look of admin test page model has been implemented by default and the 'report' two models of User Interface have been updated the model No. and the submission of the report was by default (standard) HTML, that is not what was in the app dev.

I looked at the page in dev and the page model was a standard tabs, UI were region of report and the presentation of the report was 101. Standard, row of alternating colors.

Does anyone have an experience with imports no implementation of pages they were exported?

    TIA,

    Sam

    Sam,

The object associated with an application are created specifically for each application.

Whenever you create a component that a unique ID is assigned for use as the primary key, although some components have composite primary keys - a page, for example, is identified solely by the application ID and the ID of the page.

Then, unique IDS are not transferable through an import / export.

Install an application and keep the ID of the original application won't change any internal ID in the installed application.

If the ID name and app object were used to the "key" which would allow applications to be a little more portable/leachable (is that a Word).

I don't see how it works, or how it would do something more flexible that it isn't already.

The import of components and of the page, but when he tries to use the same ID internal to the models and other application classes opposed the ID internal are not the same as the IDS exported and therefore fail.

Right. The ID of the shared components, such as templates, referenced by the page that you have installed are the IDS used in the application that you have exported the page of. Normally, you should install the page in an exact copy of this application, one with the same ID for components shared as the source application. But you've actually created two new applications in two different workspace by changing their application during the installation ID, which makes them 100% dissimilar for such purposes. (Regardless that they now have the same application ID, they cannot be correlated).

Where can I find a list of the components that are unique to the current mix of work/App space IDS and those who are not independent.

All components except the pages and applications, I think, get their identity papers adjusted when you change the application during the installation of the application ID.

Now, what you could have done when you request 202 and want to make 150 has been to change the export file and changed several references to 202 to 150, remove app 202, and then use SQL * more to install the application using this file. There would have not been in the ID being adjusted.

  • HP laptop: find the model and serial number

    Hello

    Here are a few options.

    1. hold down fn and Press esc - this should display model No. / Nr but will work only if the HP System event utility is always installed.

2 close the laptop by holding down the button SHIFT left click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot. Tap away at the esc you key start Notepad to open the Start Menu.  Select the Menu of the Bios ( f10 ).  Both the model and Nr number must appear on the first tab.

  • Question about the replacement of router and new network location. Is this normal?

Yesterday, I replaced my router with a another router of the exact same brand, model, and firmware version. The only thing that has changed as far as the router will have the MAC address.

In any case, after that I swapped the router and plugged the network cable, I could use Internet all day very well. This morning when I turned on the computer, introduced me to all of a sudden with the Wizard "Set network location", and Windows has created a new situation "network 2". Everything always seem to work well.

I want to just make sure that it is the expected, normal Windows 7 behavior after changing a router. I'm just a little paranoid because the network location Wizard pops up only the next day, I replaced the router, and not immediately after I plugged in the cable.

    Thank you!

Yes. It's normal.  The delay in the command prompt is a little unusual, but I've seen this before.

  • Help - profile change Service models and policies without changing the existing MAC or WWN vNIC and vHBAs

    Hello

I would like to know if there is a way to preserve existing vNIC MACs and WWN vHBA if I change the model of a Service profile?

To clarify, our Service profiles have been created since an initial model, and now we'd like as these Service profiles to point to a - model - update to simplify management.

Initial-template originally provided manually created vNIC and vHBAs and used no LAN or SAN connectivity political, but the new updated model made.

VNIC names and vHBA names, as well as the MAC and WWN used in connectivity pools policies update-model are the same as those currently used by the Service profiles.

    To rephrase the question:
Is it possible to change initial-model a Service profile to a template update with essentially the same everything, without changing the UUID currently in use MACs of the profile Service, WWN and perhaps?
If the answer is that they are not the same when this happens, then someone know of any workaround?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi RR

With respect to the Central of the UCS and sequential allocation:

    New features in version 1.1(2a)

Allocation of ID sequential for pools, such as addresses MAC, WWN, IP and UUID

    The procedure I would use:

    -Create the update model

-remove the link 1. Initial model EP

-delete this 1. SP (this helps to release all the values in the pool)

-create new MS to model update (it will inherit above pool values)

    -Repeat for all AOCS

I did this several times without problem (for example, no need to change the zoning of FC). Of course it is disruptive, by blade and SP.

Don't know if this unbind / bind procedure works without reserves.

    See you soon

    Hello

Have a very strange problem. I wanted to apply patches using a VCO on my model R2 2012 Windows workflow and Windows 2008 R2 models. My model of Windows 2008 R2 when converted and started by the workflow VCO does NOT get an ip address. Yet, when I manually turn on the model of Windows 2008 R2 after be converted manually, it gets an ip address immediately. So weird.  There is no problem with 2012 Windows, it works very well. NOTE: The workflow that starts the virtual machine only turns on (and is built in the workflow built by vmware) Finally, today I built a new model and has the same problem. Hello

Maybe I've finally lost my mind... I myself find it impossible to add a background image to the header of my project portion.  I select the "header" in the property Panel section, click on "add a new CSS rule.  Curiously, DW does not in the name of the selector for me, which is probably an indication that something is wrong, but I don't know what.  I went through the steps of filling in the name of the switch by hand, choose the .jpg file and setting is like a background image, but he never takes.

There has got to be something simple that experienced users of DW can explain.  Go ahead, experts, you out there?

  • Hearing CC apply updated model and apply to existing files

Help! Impossible to find on this entry anywhere!

I have created several of podcast episodes, but have an effect I have to apply to several issues that are assigned to a certain pattern (affecting 16 episodes) and the overall volume change.

If I make the change to the model and the rail, it will change everywhere on my hearing (untreated) raw files?

Please - can someone answer this ASAP?  I know that models are new in the latest version of CC hearing released.

I think that models don't apply only to the opening of a new session of hearing. I don't think you can retroactively apply changes to the model to a saved session ready. You can however be apply changes in volume and effects using the functionality of batch of hearing to address already saved files. Alternatively, you can add your other effects/level change in the effects Rack and save it as a preset that you could add your previous sessions and re mix audio.

  • Template file - y at - it an easy way to update the files related to a model, and download them (put) at the same time?

First of all, I am a user of Adobe software for 20 years now.  I love the adobe range. I want to just clarify.

Question... Template Files - y at - it an easy way to update the files related to a model, and download them (put) at the same time?

Its been bothering me since I started using Dreamwever 10 years now, when you use template files to create small, who later turn wholesale websites. Whenever I update a template file I have to find each file in the files Panel, then download them. When I navigate through a lot of directories to find it can get a lot of time and boring.  Whey cant be just a button that does it? See the attached file.

Is there a way to do this?  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you very much

The sync tool should do what you want (second "circular arrows" icon in the files window).

Who checks your files against the files of the current server and download all that is changed. By default, is also download any file from the server which is more recent than your local files at the same time, but you can set it to 'Put the latest files remotely' rather than 'get and put newer files' and you should be good to go.
