Models under the Collision Ray

Basically, I have a simple 3D, with uneven terrain scene and a character (3DSMax teapot!) I want to follow the terrain. I implemented the script movement separately and created a collisionDetection script using modelsUnderRay. problem is that my character floats away. It turns off position in some strange angle almost vertically in time with the registerForEvent deadline... Someone at - he seen this before or have any ideas? Here is the script code, anyway...

  • tablespace as defined in the model of the index is not used for manually defined indexes

    Hello

in the 4.0.1.836 version, I defined under model in Modeler, model, physics, use index of preferences / Data (I use the German version, I hope that I have translated correctly) an index template that contains a value for the attribute tablespace.

For indexes that are generated automatically (as defined in the properties of my model under the generation of index DDL/auto/properties") it works fine. There was a thread on this already Tablespace for the automatically generated index. It works very well. However, for indexes that manually in a table there is no tablespace clause in the generated ddl script generated. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

    Thanks for your help,

    Jochen

    Hello Jochen,

Yes.  You are right.  For manually defined indexes, the Index model is applied when the Index is created in the first place.  As these properties are in the physical model, it is only effective if the relevant physical model is open when the Index is created in the first place.  The Tablespace defined in the template is applied only if the physical model contains a Tablespace with the same name.

I guess it's a bit inconsistent for the automatically generated index Tablespace clause is generated when the physical model is not open.

  • First group title below displays under the column headers using the model 23 classic report with the help of repeat titles on break

    Hello

I am migrating an application from 3 APEX APEX 4.2 on a thing I noticed with the classic reports when I put them in the model 23, it's that the first section break has break notch under the headings of columns for this section of line while the remaining lines properly have it display above the headers on the subsequent sections of group.

When I look at firebug code I saw that all the tables but the first, the break line is included in the last line of the previous table, so I can see how it did not work for the holidays since.

    I have tow questions.

    1. is it really intentional because it seems not terribly elegant and my users to zero immediately above as a perceived bug.

    2. is there a reasonable job around always use headers repeat on break? I have multiple reports on the same page in places so switch to interactive reports is not a quick fix for me in this case.

Example of a question can be seen at apex.oracle.com at home

    Thank you

The Standard report template definition in issue 23 contains thead and tbody elements:

    Before the column header

    Column title template

    #COLUMN_HEADER#

    After the title column

    After the lines

    #PAGINATION#

This is intentional, the best practice for marking up HTML tables. What is not expected is the problem that arises when this model is used with the break of repeat titles on break formatting option. The repeated headings result table consisting of soup of tags containing several poorly constructed tbody and thead, which is not valid elements.

    2. is there a reasonable job around always use headers repeat on break? I have multiple reports on the same page in places so switch to interactive reports is not a quick fix for me in this case.

Create a copy of the report model Standard in Standard (break formatting) for use with reports of the break, remove the thead and tbody definitions of template tags and the breakdown of the reports to use the new model of change. (Or, if you use mainly break reports using the Standard template, keep the tags in the copy and remove them from the original in order to minimize the number of reports, you need to change.)

Personally, I would create a report model of line custom to break complex reports in order to be able to have complete control over the structure and presentation.

  • Editing in Photos; What happens under the hood?

    Hello

With the retirement of the opening, I was watching a replacement. The main contenders are Lightroom, Photos or a combination of both.

In Lightroom, a detailed history of changes is kept, and I can go back one, several or all the stages of my change history. Each edition is non-destructive and I believe that stored in a file. I think what I see on the screen is always the result of a direct rendering of the raw data from the sensor more instructions recorded in the sidecar file.

In the Photos, I wonder what's happening under the hood. There is no history of edits and I found no evidence of the sidecar files used. Can I return all the way the original raw file, but what I really wonder is I have change the file, change it again once, click done, change it again, click done, click done, run it through an extension, click done, what actually happens? Photos renders a JPEG image when I click on 'done' and open it for further processing when I change it again? Or can someone confirm there really data sidecar happening somewhere?

Very cheesy, I understand that. But if I choose a photo app, so I want to use the best quality possible at any time. Using a JPEG file of the previous edition as the basis for the next, is not that. Building a list of instructions in a rendered file, is it.

    Anyone with this idea?

    Thank you

    Rob

In the Photos is also a kind of history of publishing, as in Aperture. You can cancel adjustments individually by unchecking the blue checkmarks in the adjustment Panel.

You can also tell that the Photos is computer modifications of the original, because the original must be available, if you want to change.

But it's different, if you use photo editing extensions.  In this case almost a new master will be created and successive modifications will use this master file almost, as previously in Aperture, when we used an external editor or a plug-in.

After that I used an extension of editing, I see a large TIFF file in the resources folder in the photo library model, even if the original file is a JPEG of average size.

Restore the PC to its original state with the HP Recovery Manager if Windows Vista is not accessible

If the computer does not start in Windows, it may still be possible to use the HP recovery disk to restore the computer to its original state. The Recovery Manager can be started during the boot process by following the steps below.
    1. Press on the button / stop to start the computer and press f11 when the standard BIOS guests appear on the black screen.
NOTE: by pressing the f11 key during startup on a computer with an image factory HP will start the system recovery process, even if the message is not displayed.

      • If the HP Recovery Manager can access the recovery on the hard drive partition, you receive a to back up user files before you start the recovery prompt. Follow the instructions.
      • If the HP Recovery Manager cannot access the hard disk to resolve system errors, you need to use the recovery disk custom that you created to recover the hard disk to its original state.
      • If you have not created the custom recovery disk, or disks are damaged, you can order a replacement of HP recovery CD.

    2. When the Recovery Manager starts, follow the instructions of recovery step by step , shown above.
Solve a common problem of recovery.
If the original operating system is changed to a non - Vista OS, the Recovery Manager cannot be launched either office or by pressing f11 at startup. You can use the recovery disk to restore the computer to the original state of Vista. If you are using a non - Vista OS, you can use a third-party partition management program to recover hard disk space.

Or try to order a new recovery discs...

    Maybe this article:
    http://www.ZDNet.com/blog/Bott/lost-your-Windows-discs-how-to-get-replacement-media-legally/4320

HP has a simple recovery process, and its policy to provide filtering alternatives is well integrated in its support pages.

I went through the process of replacing for a two-year-old HP Pavilion Elite m9600t. This system was built in the summer 2009, before Windows 7 shipped. As a result, my only option was to support Windows Vista 64-bit. For first class mail, HP shipping or taxes added up to $15.80. (I might have updated 2-day or night FedEx delivery for another $6 or $12, respectively.)

From this page: HP and Compaq Desktop PC: looking for recovery discs?

There step by step instructions to create a recovery disc for Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP. Also, it offers the possibility to order replacement disks, but warns that these discs may only be available for a limited time:

If you are unable to create a set of recovery discs, you may be able to order a set of replacement of HP HP discs. maintains an inventory of recovery disks of replacement several years after the product was released. However, due to licensing restrictions, HP is able to provide these recovery disc for a limited time. If the computer is several years after its warranty period, HP isn't maybe able to provide replacement for your computer disks.

I tried with a model of 2008 HP (long out of warranty) and was able to locate filtering alternatives.

The process of media control was a little confused. The key is to start with the appropriate model number, then click on software and driver downloads, as shown here:

On the next page, you are prompted to select an operating system. The support link to recovery in the results list is available only if you select the version of Windows that your computer initially comes with. If you do not see a section "Recovery media", HP suggest "to ensure that you are on the right model number page and select another operating system." It worked for me.

Interestingly, the last section on the page is titled "finding of the recovery disks from other Web sites. It contains a warning at the top in bold: try all other options in the paper support before attempting to order recovery disks at outside HP.

If HP is further providing the recovery disc for your computer model and is no longer possible to create a recovery disk, you may be able to find a solution outside of HP.

Popular online auction sites and providers of computer parts may have a part in stock original recovery disk. However, be cautious and aware of the risks when buying from a source outside of HP recovery disks. Beware of sites that offer recovery solutions when they are not affiliated with HP.

Even if HP could not have a recovery disc available for purchase of value, search the part HP command Web site to find recovery kit part number that corresponds to your computer. Once you find the part number of the recovery disc, use the number in your search for best results.

It's actually good advice. If you can find a part number, you may be able to find records of replacement from a legitimate outside vendor that specializes in parts for the models of the manufacturer of your PC.
