Module correct DAQ for Celesco SP2 or SP3 String Pots

Hello! I am currently looking to develop the capacities of our laboratory by adding string pots in our toolkit of sensor. I came across a jar of string that will work for us, namely Celesco SP2 or SP3 (or the other). Here is the site where there are listed more information on these sensors:

http://www.celesco.com/stringpots/

SP2 is a divisor of output voltage. According to the Application engineer, a very clean DC voltage signal be sent to the pot of string SP2 so that it can generate specific measures, while the SP3 will take 24 V DC (less clean signal) sign and generate specific measures making the more expensive than SP2 SP3. (prefer to go with the best value option).

We currently have a cDAQ-9178 chassis. Is there an analog input module OR out there that will work with the pot of string SP2 or SP3. The hope is that this module will be connected to the cDAQ chassis and the sons of the string pot turn for this add-on.

It would be also possible to use a USB-6003 with pots of string above? Let me know and thanks for your help! I am also attaching the respective data sheets for your reference.

Since available SP3 device accuracy is 1% of full scale (0.1 Volts), I think you can use any of these materials good markets (USB-6002 or (3). You also need to consider what kind of sampling rate you need. I imagine not too high (perhaps 10 or 100 Hz is just enough)? Depends on the speed of movement you want to check with this pot spring...?

If you use the USB-6002, you get 4 differential channels and a 50 kHz sampling rate (but don't forget not, if you for example use 2 channels, your max rate will be half: 25 kHz per channel). 16-bit ADC, so that you get the resolution of the 10/2 ^ 16 = 0.15 mVolts the interval 0-10 Volts (0.0015% 10 volts). It is already an overdose compared to unit 1% F.S. accuracy.

Wiring: read the 2nd page of your pdf. You have three sons. Connect the Red (+ 24V) and black (com or the PSU GND) wire to your power supply (24VDC, like you said, use a quality like Siemens brand). You can use a single 24V DC power supply to power both of your sensors (I don't know how much power they attract, but I guess not a lot), obviously connect the power supply to the two parallel electrical sensors (so that they get the same voltage).

Connect the Green (signal 0-10 Volts of tension) and black wire your DAQ hardware (use differential pins, check the specs of the device).

  • Is it possible to get sp1, sp2 and sp3 for XP

I know it's laid before, but where can I download updates SP1, SP2 and SP3 for XP.

I have the original XP Pro install media.

I am strongly considering to put XP Pro on a Dell PC I have has no HARD drive.

I plan to do that because it's basically Win8.1 PUE!

A HUGH mistake buying a machine with Win8.1!

It is UGLY, it is INFLATED WITH CARP, it is UNDESIRABLE to the IMO.

I have need a lot of talk of "insecurity" and any future update. I can't live without them.

I can't the XP service packs of MS or where ever?

CHANGE > in fact I found the s SP just now install media.

I found the stub thing after that I downloaded.  But I found no later than SP1 stub.  But if the SP1 is not necessary, I can remove it.  Just read somewhere that, in order to get SP3 installed, I need SP1 AND SP2.

No, to install sp3, you have sp1 OR sp2.

Yes, the news of the "System requirements" on the download page of the sp3 are vague and misleading: "Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Professional Edition, Windows XP Service Pack 1, Windows XP Service Pack 2."

Commas means 'or' - except the comma between the two editions and two service packs, which means 'and '.  The requirements must be written (XP Home or XP Pro) AND (XP sp1) or XP sp2.

    Hello

The problem with viruses on the computer, I would say that you download and run a full scan of the system using the Microsoft Safety Scanner.

Here is the link for the Microsoft Safety Scanner which is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    Note:

Data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely.
which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • Is there a way I can get even SP2 and SP3 for windows xp home edition to my pc that had been in storage since 2007?

I tried to go to windows update but redirected to micrsoft support page, which offers no SP2 and SP3 for windows XP Pro, and yet I don't have a network of computers running windows XP Pro download the SPs would be a disater as it is intended for more than one PC.

It does not give the notice to go to the windows update page, but I can't get there because I do not have windows XP SP 3 installed on my pc, and even if I have it on a disc I couldn't install it anyway because SP 2 is not installed on this pc.

So this pc seems to be thrown into a sort of limbo XP, does anyone know a way I can get these much needed without breaking service packs?

  • Tecra A9 move from Win XP SP2 to SP3 - questions?

Anyone have trouble with their Tecra A9 when upgrading to Windows XP SP2 to SP3? I've heard horror stories with other laptops that users lock their systems or lose functionality.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.

    Hello

I m not Tecra A9 owner but I already installed the SP3 Win and I didn't notice any strange problems after installing SP3.
Of course, it might be possible that some drivers would not fully compatible with some fixes and patches but it seems that I m a lucky guy and there is nothing wrong with my operating system.

But to be honest; I didn't notice any improvement after the installation of Sp3.
However, you can install Sp3 on your system and if you have great compatibility problems you'd still be able to remove the SP3 of the system.

    Hi Alex,

Lynn is correct. For the use of the DAQ USB OR with Mac and Linux, the best hardware and the only driver to use is NEITHER-DAQmx Base. The Readme file lists which specific devices are supported, specific Linux and OS X versions are supported and that has hardware is supported.

  • Code 800 b 0100 on Windows for Vista64 SP2 update

    Hello

For a few weeks (December ' 09) I started to receive a notification indicating that one of my updates fails with Code 800 b 0100.  I clicked on help and he suggested I run the tool to "System Update Readiness Tool for x 64-based Systems"-I did.  After its completion, I still get the same error code.  I looked through the journal that it produces, but it is very big and I wasn't able to find anything of use.  After looking through Microsoft forums, I found a similar solution (http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistainstall/thread/8f4ab273-8528-487f-8af3-aa75c7bb0186) who gave similar results.  I found another (CheckSUR.log) log file which seems to be more useful.  The log shows:

If there is anything I can to get my file system online (outside of a complete re-installation) please advise.  I'd appreciate any help.

    Thank you

Well, you are right when it comes to try to resolve the error 800b0100: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956702 recommend to run the CheckSUR tool & you've already done that.

You are also right when it comes to KB970430 and whether you really need to install it: KB970430 is a 'non security-related update. ' The line less resistance would be just "hide". Below, [2].

That said, Norton applications are notorious for not not upgrade (or uninstalling) itself. You can try the procedure in [1] below first, especially if a free trial of Norton is pre-installed on your computer when you bought it.

    Good luck!

    ==============================
    [1]

    1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

    2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall all Norton software (including LiveUpdate and everything Norton Add ons) via Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view).

4 IMPORTANT! -Online activate Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.

NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed step #8 below!

    5. right click on the file that you saved in step #1 above, and then select run as administrator.  DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

6 see if KB970430 now installs. Follow all the prompts, if the operation is successful.

    7. now make a clean installation of NIS 2010 using your product ID & reboot: http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080514162318EN

TIP: Do not activate or install additional modules of Norton (for example, Norton Anti-Phishing) immediately.

    8. manually and repeatedly run LiveUpdate until you get a prompt "no update more".

    ==============================

    [2]

    1. stop the automatic updates service:

Start > Right click on run , and then select run as administrator > services.msc (type) > [OK]
Double-click automatic updates > click stop
(Stopping the service will take a moment)

2 remove the contents of the download folder:

Start > Right click on run , and then select run as administrator >
    (type or copy/paste) %windir%\SoftwareDistribution > [OK]
Open the download folder and delete its content
    Close the window.

3 start | Control Panel | System maintenance and (if you use Classic view, skip this step). Windows Update |  View the updates available (or Select the updates installed): right-click on KB970430 | Click hide update | Confirm the prompt UAC (User Account Control), if any, & OK your way out.

    4. start the automatic updates service:

Start > Right click on run , and then select run as administrator > services.msc (type) > [OK]
Double-click automatic updates > click Start
(Stopping the service will take a moment)

    --------------------------------
To restore/show updates for Vista: Start | Control Panel | System maintenance and (if you use Classic view, skip this step) | Windows Update | Restore hidden updates: Find and select the update you want to install. Click restore. You can now select once again it and install through the normal process.

  • Do I need to install SP2 before SP3? If Yes, where can I find the Microsoft of SP2 version?

I had to re - install Windows XP SP1a, from a CD of resettlement came with my Dell laptop. This was done because I upgraded the hard drive. This facility went well. I went to the Windows Update site to try to get the SP2 and SP3. The webiste is said to SP2 until you can do SP3. The only version of SP2, I find on the website says that it is for the professionals and see the link for the Service Pack to the simple version. When I go on this link there is no one version. Do I need to install SP2 before SP3? If Yes, where can I find the Microsoft of SP2 version? In addition, the site says that automatic updates SP2 but I checked my Configuration of the automatic updates and it will not take anything in. Is there a way to force the automatic update to run immediately? Thanks, Ben

    Ben,

I totally agree with PML, you should be able to set up IE and then go to the Windows updates from there, once you get on the Windows Update site it will scan your system and implement critical updates and optional updates SP2 and SP3 should be on the list. It's a way to force an immediate update.

    I hope this helps.

    Jim

  • Consistent degradation of privileges and functionality in Xp Sp2 to Sp3.

My problem is I'm always losing administrative privileges, without apparent reason, on my Windows Xp Pro Sp2 to Sp3 upgrade facilities.  This occurs after the installation of updates after Sp3 installed on this version of Xp professional Sp2.  This has happened time and time again and becomes quite frustrating.

Hi Lhun - Grub - AP Padma 'gro-' dul gyi,

-Is this problem occurs after the installation of updates every time?
-You receive an error message when this problem occur?
-When you mentioned that you lose Admin privileges, does this mean that you are unable to work with the programs or access to certain files/folders?

  • Windows XP need to upgrade to SP2 or SP3

    Hello

I have Windows XP SP1.  I need to upgrade to SP2 or SP3.   There are free downloads online.  can I use them? or should I buy from you?  Please me know

    Thanks in advance

You don't need to buy anything. If you check in Windows updates, service packs must be put at your disposal. (Unless it's an illegal copy of XP).

If you installed SP1a, you can ignore the SP2 and go right to SP3. If SP1 is installed, to install the SP2 and SP3.

Before you install, disable your antivirus and anti-spyware such as Windows Defender programs. If you are using another firewall, disable and enable Windows Firewall in the control panel for the installation. Once a requires SP3 and working, you can activate the third-party firewall and put the Windows Firewall. Do not keep the two running.
